Chapter 1471 Review of "Big Era 1994"

Hello everyone, I am Cang Yiwei.

Today I would like to recommend to you an old book that has just been released.

"Big Times 1994", Liu An Hua You Ming, a great writer.

Category: Urban-Urban Life.

【Introduction】

A real estate developer with a fortune was unexpectedly reborn in 1994. In this exciting era, Xiong Baizhou rose from the grassroots, saw all the beauties in the world, and after thousands of sails passed, he still had the character of a hero.

【Brief Comment】

This was Lao Liu's first book, written in less than a year, and banned at 145 million words. He later wrote a new book, "I Really Didn't Want to Be Reborn," which soared to fame!

Later, he switched to Xianxia and wrote I Am a Dragon, which was shelved at 29 words. The results were poor, and he happened to need to go on a temporary assignment for work, so he stopped writing.

He seems to be preparing a new book this year. Rumor has it he used a pseudonym to write "The Bad Guys of Daxia," which was quickly pulled from shelves. It's impossible to verify whether it was him later! He did tell me it wasn't him. The real reason is up for debate.

I recently dug out his older books for a few reasons. First, banned books often contain fascinating elements that deserve deeper exploration. You can bet they'll contain some novel plot twists you might be looking for, like darker elements, multiple female protagonists, or even a "get rich quick" business model.

Furthermore, while the old book was released after some changes to its settings, there's no guarantee it'll be included later. So, if you're interested in period novels, especially those with multiple female protagonists, you might want to check out the early works of Lao Liu, known as the "ceiling of urban fiction," to see what the best and worst parts are. My personal experience is that there's still plenty of exciting plot points, especially the "get something for nothing" marketing I mentioned above. The protagonist, Xiong Baizhou, is now older, so many of his actions fall within the realm of adulthood. He travels south to work and encounters the unfair collection of protection fees on a construction site. As the protagonist, especially one who walks the fine line between light and darkness, he chooses to fight violence with violence and dominate the site.

He quickly decided to open a large appliance store, but he had no money. He resorted to begging for money, selecting several prominent manufacturers at the time and then negotiating, communicating, and trying to convince them. Surprisingly, he secured deals with them, allowing them to pick up the goods first and pay later. He would always take photos with them, which would facilitate his attempts to convince the next customer.

The negotiation skills and humiliating experiences involved are inevitable stages in starting from humble beginnings, and no one can completely avoid them. It was these authentic experiences, coupled with constantly evolving promotional tactics, that maximized the effectiveness of the hunger marketing campaign, creating an unprecedented sales event on the opening day, raking in hundreds of thousands in sales and gradually establishing his store as a leading local brand.

The Shura Field plot, which I'm particularly interested in, has been lightly touched upon by the author in previous encounters. Unlike Chen Hansheng's each encounter, which is so thrilling and yet exudes great wisdom. This shows that the author has made significant progress, and his personal characteristics of the urban scumbag Feng are slowly brewing. I think long-time readers will be delighted to see that Lao Liu can handle the Shura Field so immaturely.

Putting aside some logical flaws, this old book is worth a good read. At the same time, I hope Lao Liu will not write Xianxia novels easily, as they are really difficult to write.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment.
