Although he is no longer a leading figure in the suspense genre, and the genre is in a state of near-death, some still persevere. After enduring physical hardships, Xiaolong chose to return to his familiar roots, which is fortunate for readers, as they can once again witness his former glory.

From a creative perspective, everyone should support authors who are still willing to work in the suspense field. The fewer authors who write, the fewer popular they become. Especially since he chose a traditional suspense novel this time.

Some people may not fully understand what a traditional suspense novel is, and I'm not entirely sure either. The most immediate impression is the lack of overt systems, dashboards, old masters, or deep blue point-generating techniques. Instead, the protagonist's growth is revealed through gradual exploration and progression. Take, for example, the protagonist, Li Zhuiyuan, a graduate of Peking University's Junior Class, who was sent to his hometown in the countryside by his mother. Both he and his mother are unusual, possessing other souls within them, often exhibiting dual personalities and harboring sinister motives. The protagonist, always playing the role of the child, slowly gets along with the girl, Qin Li, and finally decides to completely break away from his mother's way of life and begin a new life of his own.

His process of learning to recover from death has been likened to a poor student starting to learn a new field. Although he is a gifted boy, he still panics when faced with death. He just likes this feeling, which is an emotional change he has never experienced before. In particular, he has become Qin Li's balcony to observe the world. The two of them support each other as childhood sweethearts and grow up in this world. The process of recovering from death is a key highlight, whether it is the portrayal of the suspenseful atmosphere. Most of the characters are victims who have been wronged, such as Xiao Huangying and Zhou Yong. But there are also some evil people with ulterior motives, such as Shui Houzi and Baijiazhen. Some of the forces involved in the book, the Liu family, the Qin family, the Bai family, and the prosperous Li Sanjiang, are shrouded in a layer of mystery. For example, the true identity of the protagonist, what is hidden on the other side.

Xiaolong has been incredibly diligent this time, posting 9 words daily. From September 1st to now, he's reached 50 words. Even among Platinum and Master Level writers, this output is incredible. The quality of this work is a matter of opinion. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I understand and admire the somewhat exaggerated descriptions. I've already recommended it numerous times, but I haven't yet documented it in writing.
