Chapter 213 212. Comments on "World of Gods"

Today I would like to recommend a novel about gods to you.

"World of Gods", author: Eternal Fire, a great writer.

Category: Fantasy-Eastern Fantasy.

【Introduction】

On Mount Olympus, the center of the world, Zeus, the king of gods, holds the spear of thunder tightly and looks at the world with a smile.

In front of him, there were many gods like a forest.

In the Silver Hall in the north, Odin sits on the High Throne, holding the Spear of Heaven, looking down at the world.

There was endless wind and snow in his eyes.

On the southern banks of the Nile, Amon, who was steering the solar boat, had his eyes on the Aegean Sea.

There were mountains of dry bones at his feet.

In the land of Mesopotamia, Mazda, the lord of light and wisdom, holds the eternal fire and looks westward to the world.

His heroic king Gilgamesh carried out an oracle and set out on an expedition to Greece with warships as vast as the sea.

In Plato's Academy, a young man named Su Ye climbed up the mountains and reached the top.

【Golden Ten Chapters】

Chapter One: Sobering. It's autumn in Athens, Greece, with a vast blue sky and a river of clouds. The protagonist, Su Ye, travels back in time. In his previous life, just as his career was taking off, he went on a trip to Greece and was swept away by a tsunami. In this life, he truly arrives in Greece, the world of the gods. Yet, he is a mere child from a humble family. Thus, the first chapter of this book bears a strong resemblance to "The Greatest Sage of Confucianism and Taoism."

Chapter 2: Death Threats. The protagonist's parents died unexpectedly, and someone came to collect a debt. The servants in the protagonist's home turned against them. They beat him up and promised to wait until the protagonist could raise the money. After thinking it over, the protagonist realized that there was more to the story; these people might not just be after the house.

Chapter 3, The Magic Book. The protagonist finds a magic book in his room, and a small old immortal flies out of it. This is the notice for the new semester at Plato's Academy. He is a student at Plato's Academy, but has not yet begun learning magic. He is currently facing a financial crisis, and using the method of searching through the stars, he finds a relatively reliable person.

Chapter 4: Himself. The person he seeks out is Mr. Kelton, the owner of the restaurant where his parents once worked. He was once a Silver Warrior. The protagonist comes to him, claiming he has a way to increase the restaurant's popularity.

Chapter 5, Bargaining. The protagonist's bargaining chip is a secret recipe that will add a new dish to all of Greece. Kelton, of course, doesn't believe it, but is willing to pay ten gold coins for it.

Chapter 6, Chef. A deal is struck, a pact with the Four Gods is reached. If the protagonist can create a meal that satisfies Kelton, he will pay them 50 gold coins and kill one person. The protagonist will then personally test the food.

Chapter 7: The meal is ready. The protagonist asks Kelton to find five loyal people to start making the meal. They beat the eggs, stir the egg whites, olive oil, and lemon juice, and the salad dressing is ready. This is a meal.

Chapter 8: The Real Taste. Kelton and the chef taste the salad dressing and don't think it's gourmet. The protagonist points out that it's missing some honey. The chef, thrilled, adds honey himself, creating the most delicious salad dressing and mixing another bowl of salad. The Greeks' favorite salad takes off with the addition of salad dressing.

Chapter 9: Kelton, the Gourmet. The protagonist mocks his boss, Kelton, for not understanding food, and the chef agrees. He prepares roast pork and seared tuna belly, and the protagonist concocts a sweet and sour salad dressing, which everyone enjoys.

Chapter 10: The deal is done. The food was indeed a sensation, but the final agreement only gave the protagonist 300 gold coins to repay the debt, and sent a guard to escort the protagonist to pay. The rest was a dead letter. The two did an excellent job of negotiating risk.

【Brief Comment】

The introduction to the new book is spectacular, and it really feels like a world of gods, but I just can’t quite make sense of it.

I have seen some similar movies, such as "Clash of the Titans", "Twilight of the Gods", "Thor", "Poseidon", etc.

For many people, that's all.

Because, really few people like online novels from that period.

The book begins by introducing many legendary characters, but the author has simplified them to make it easier for readers to remember.

But in fact, for readers who don’t know Greek mythology and Roman mythology, there is actually not much difference.

The famous ones are easy to remember without having to mention them. As for the problem of difficult to remember names, this is a common problem in all Western fantasy themes.

The same is true for "Lord of Mysteries". Few people remember Klein Moretti and his brothers and sisters.

However, the protagonist of "World of Gods" is named Su Ye, which is very easy to remember, a bit like a "leaf".

The world structure and information preparation of this book are very rich, which shows that the author has put a lot of effort into it.

It includes the differences in clothing and diet between the Athenian nobles and the poor, the issue of housing determining household registration, the differences between magic and warriors, and even the choice of currency portraits. It is also a very interesting story.

The book has a rigorous story and logic.

The protagonist connects the memories of two worlds and is reborn in Athens. His parents die unexpectedly, leaving behind a massive debt. The creditor is after his house. Without it, he loses his right to reside in Athens and cannot attend the magic school to become a wizard. Therefore, the true enemy hides within the magic school, and the cause of his parents' death is fraught with conspiracy.

To repay his debt, the protagonist found a reliable restaurant owner, offered him a secret recipe, and struck a partnership. The owner sent out a capable warrior to help the protagonist successfully resolve the debt. The protagonist activated his elven talent from the ruins, providing him with extraordinary magical aptitude for admission.

The new book is such a story with a Western theme, but it is classified as an Eastern fantasy. It can be seen that people really stay away from the fantasy category.

One more thing to add, in the single chapter on the keywords for 2019, the author said that he also activated a skill [Awareness].

It is said that before this year, half of my life was in chaos. After this year, my life will be clear and bright.

I don’t quite understand what it means. Maybe it means that I will write better and better in the future, and will be better than now. Don’t care about the present, focus on the future, etc.

Or maybe, like Angry Banana, you have realized your own writing ceiling?

However, this book is definitely worth reading in terms of writing style, structure, logic, etc.!
The prerequisite is that you can accept Western fantasy themes!

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment!

Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

Eternal Flame is an author that I have really liked recently.

Whether it is "The Greatest Sage of Confucianism and Taoism" or "The World of Gods", the author's writing ambitions are very big, as if he wants to integrate Chinese and Western cultures.

I just read the latest chapter. The protagonist has already led the war between Persia and Greece together with the girl Thebes.

He had long since become a majestic magician, but riding a unicorn was not so smooth.

The appearance of the Throne of Hell also seems very domineering, giving people the feeling of Ying Gou in "Late Night Bookstore".

The first chapter of this book lists the characters in Greek mythology and Greek civilization, and the miracles they created surge towards readers like a tide.

This feeling is exactly the same as "The Greatest Sage of Confucianism and Taoism".

Perhaps, the author wanted to create this feeling, which is also his unique style of work.

Moreover, to do this, you really need to master a lot of knowledge.

In "Mirror Giant", I almost exhausted myself while writing about the seven angels and seven demons.

You only have the memory of a fish, how dare you dream of anything?
