Chapter 230 229. Comments on "Empire's Eating Style"

Today I would like to recommend to you a work about the great Qin Empire that truly dominated the world.

"The Empire's Eating Style", author: Muchenke, level 5 author.

Category: History - Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms.

【Introduction】

Chen Xu traveled back to the Qin Dynasty due to a car accident. At that time, Qin Shi Huang had just unified the six kingdoms and lost his life goal.

After hesitating for a long time about whether to cling to Xiang Yu or Liu Bang, he presented a globe to Qin Shihuang.

One day he couldn't help but point at the globe and said, "Your Majesty, there's another delicacy in Dongsheng Shenzhou called spicy crayfish!"

This is a story about a foodie, and also a story about the unconventional Qin Dynasty.

Don't join the research party, as you will not be held responsible for poisoning.

【Golden Five Chapters】

Chapter One: Wanting to Travel Back. The protagonist, Chen Xu, was originally a food delivery driver. He ran a red light and died, his soul traveling to the countryside of Qin State, where his family was in dire straits. He tried to travel back, but there was no signal and no wormhole. In three or four years, Qin Shi Huang would unify the six kingdoms, and he was contemplating his own life.

Chapter 2, Treating Snake Venom 1. While he was lost in thought, his sister cried out in hunger, and his mother went fishing. Soon, someone came running to him, saying his mother had been bitten by a snake. The protagonist rushed out to his mother, applied a simple bandage, and then sucked out the venom with his mouth.

Chapter 3, Treating Snake Venom 2. The protagonist carries his mother home and, along with his companions, goes to the mountains to search for herbs. Wherever there are venomous snakes, there are herbs. He quickly brings back the herbs and boils them into a medicine. His mother is saved.

Chapter 4: Self-reliance. With his family so poor they had nothing to eat, the protagonist went fishing in the river, catching a basket of frogs. The knife at home couldn't even kill the frogs, so he resorted to stabbing them with thorns. After boiling a clay pot of tasteless frogs, he ran out to look for something else.

Chapter 5: No Seasoning. The protagonist runs to the river, ties up the fish basket, and finds some onions, ginger, garlic, and turmeric to flavor the frogs. The family devours the feast, feeling incredibly satisfied. The protagonist must also face reality.

【Brief Comment】

This book has been completed, totaling 522 million words.

It is a complete book with a lot of words, which fully meets the requirements of most readers who are looking to cure their book shortage.

I wonder if other people experience the same thing as I do when reading books. Most books, no matter how exciting, become dull if you read the ending first.

This book doesn't have that feeling.

On the surface, it tells the story of a foodie, but in fact it is a purely fictional historical text about how the protagonist Chen Xu helped Qin Shi Huang avoid early death, govern the country, win over Xiang Yu and Liu Bang, and conquer the east and west.

Of course, some of the plot is a bit over the top. I feel like if the protagonist is given enough material, he might even take the Guardians of the Galaxy on an interstellar journey.

Fortunately, the protagonist was just a Meituan delivery boy wearing a yellow robe in his previous life, and he had no system after traveling through time. It was only his rural life in his youth and the influence of his village doctor relatives that allowed him to know how to identify herbs, treat his mother's snake venom and food poisoning in the villagers, how to fish and catch shrimps, and season food three days after traveling through the Qin Dynasty. Most importantly, how to hold on to the thighs he should hold on to in times of war, survive successfully, and live a fulfilling life.

The plot of this book is incredibly bizarre. The protagonist manages to resolve every conceivable and unexpected situation, ultimately serving the First Emperor. Ultimately, he becomes the Grand Tutor of the Qin State, opens a restaurant, engages in trade, and assists the Emperor. This is because, at the age of 14, he had already planned his life after time travel and put it into practice.

Although there are many big scenes and big ideas in the later part, which make the whole world go around in circles, the popularity of this book is actually inseparable from the particularly excellent start in the early part.

The soul was transported to a poor family, with the mother poisoned, the sister young, and the house penniless. It was not a very good start.

What I call excellent is the numerous 99+ reviews in each chapter. Some of these reviews argue about the fallacies of historical data, some argue about the authenticity of real life and pharmacological judgments, and some admire the author's ability to use extremely rigorous settings and theories to ensure that the story remains true even when it is impossible to cover up loopholes.

These reasonable interactions are what make a book so attractive to readers.

You can tell between the lines that a lot of thought went into this book. A person who studies computer programming can actually write something that is similar to what someone who studies history or Chinese would write.

Of course, this book is very different from the historical writing style favored by textual researchers.

There are many areas of the story that could be debunked, but they still don't hold up to scrutiny. However, from the perspective of popular fiction, it's already quite engaging. The book's pacing is well-controlled, the details are meticulously crafted, and the climaxes are perfectly executed. By the end, the protagonist has achieved fame, wealth, power, sex, and art, and naturally, a multitude of wives and concubines.

The protagonist's only shortcoming is eating!
He waited 15 years for that one bite of chili! It was Xiang Yu who led the East China Sea Fleet and brought back chili peppers from South America, which allowed the protagonist to enjoy the braised pork intestines and spicy oil noodles.

The world finally achieved universal use of the Daqin language. Asking "Have you eaten?" became a warm greeting and a welcome gesture.

Therefore, this book is a historical text that seems fictional but has some real portrayal or allegory.

It is full of excitement, easy to read, and absolutely suitable for all ages.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment!

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”!
Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

There are many starting points for novels about the Qin Dynasty.

There are the textual research-oriented "Qin Officials", the hi-hi-oriented "My Great Qin Cannot Perish", and the award-winning work "Supporting the Great Qin".

But there don’t seem to be many that are really good-looking and have a particularly good reputation.

Because most people don’t like to watch it, or they don’t find it satisfying.

In fact, there is a TV series that almost covers the history of the Qin Dynasty from beginning to end.

"The Splitting of the Great Qin Empire", "The Vertical and Horizontal of the Great Qin Empire", "The Rise of the Great Qin Empire", and "The World of the Great Qin Empire" will also be broadcast.

The drama is adapted from Sun Haohui's novel of the same name, "The Great Qin Empire".

He was a professor at the Law Department of Northwest University, one of the first recipients of the State Council's Special Allowance, and a writer listed on the 8th China Rich List in 2013. He began writing "The Great Qin Empire" in 1993 and completed it in 2008, after 15 years of creation.

"The Great Qin Empire" can be regarded as an expert-level novel about the history of the Qin Dynasty. It is absolutely instructive for the majority of online writers, especially those who are interested in creating works in the sub-category of Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms.

Even as a reader, if you read an expert's book and then come back to read the online article, you may have different feelings.

A long time ago, there was a large group of readers who only read traditional literature and paper novels, and even looked down on online literature.

Later, they had no books to read!

It is undeniable that online literature is a big melting pot with uneven quality and a relatively low threshold.

However, you can still find many high-quality works in the historical category.

For example, "The Empire's Eating Style".

However, the performance of the author's subsequent books was rather bleak.

Writing is really difficult.

For example, Elbow’s May ranking still failed, and "The First Sequence" is about to end.

Regret is inevitable!
