Cang's Ramblings

Chapter 372 368 Comments on "Above the Dome"

Chapter 372 368. Review of "Above the Dome"

Today I would like to recommend to you a work that readers have long admired, but I myself have a bit of a fuzzy memory of.

"Above the Dome", human arsenal, great writer.

Category: Urban-Urban Superpowers.

【Introduction】

Introduction to the second half: [Above the Dome, the Journey of My Destiny]

1. This is the world after the Zenith War: Dajian retreated to Antarctica, the world temporarily returned to peace, Azure launched a full-scale conscription, human life was undergoing transformation, and source energy technology exploded.

Han Qingyu returned to Fenglongao and woke up...

2. In a world cut between light and darkness, you see the backs of a vast crowd, swords slung over their shoulders, calmly walking from light to darkness. Then, stars begin to shine in the darkness.

This world, those stars, are always...

This introduction seems to have been modified.

People are people of the epic age, but they never thought that they would become brilliant names in the epic.

This is a story about a young boy's growth and progress.
"Major Qing."

"No, Major King."

"Above the dome, the stars are always there."

"The sky that your knife cuts through is our last belief."

"Brother has finished chopping."

Han Qingyu's story is about survival, about iron and blood, partners, growth and choices.

This introduction seems to be the original version, so I had to go to a non-genuine website to compare it. It is definitely not a padded word count, because with my ability to padded words, I don't even need to bother looking for information or reading the text.

【Golden Ten Chapters】

Chapter One: Fenglong'ao That Year. In Fenglong'ao in 90, the protagonist, Han Qingyu, failed the college entrance exam again and was too weak to take it a third time. A village family invited him to a dinner, and since failing the exam was a hurdle he couldn't get around, he accepted it with equanimity. It wasn't what he'd expected, and he felt the same way. After dinner, something strange happened in the village: the TV went dark, and a UFO streaked across the night sky.

Chapter 2: This isn't a Transformer. The protagonist, feeling down, walked along a path outside the village, crying for a while. He saw a UFO land nearby, two large robots emerged, and a group of uniformed men rushed over, a battle imminent. The protagonist crouched in the bushes, afraid to move, unable to escape, when another person landed right in front of him. Damn it.

Chapter 3: A Choice Without a Choice. The special forces, after paying a heavy price, finally defeat the two robots, but they fail to find the supposed energy block. A man named Lao Jian, the very person the protagonist wants to save, tests the protagonist head-on and ultimately offers him a chance to join the army.

In Chapter 4, everything changes. The protagonist asks a few questions, including whether he'll get paid after joining the army, whether he can visit his family, and even whether he wants to go to college. Upon learning about the educational background of the troops, he develops a new interest in his life. But his fate has indeed completely changed.

Chapter 5: Entrustment. Lao Jian and his team are members of the Azure League. The object in their area has been appearing more and more frequently, and this time, even the energy block hasn't been found. Upon returning home, the protagonist discovers a strange object on his chest. He makes up an excuse to talk to a classmate about life.

Chapter 6: Discovery. The protagonist rides his family's old bicycle to the city to visit his classmates. He discovers that his strength and speed are much stronger than before, and he realizes that the energy block may have been absorbed by his body.

Chapter 7, Joining the Army. The protagonist finds his friend Wen Jifei and learns from him that he is going to the army and has used many connections to help him. Before his friend can show off, he is interrupted by the protagonist's words. After all, he came to his friend to share his adventures with him.

Chapter 8: Another encounter with bad luck. The protagonist and his friends had a nice farewell dinner. However, at the crossroads, he ran into Lao Jian again, who seemed to be following him. His friend came over to take charge, but was tricked into leaving. A mission arrived, and Lao Jian dragged the protagonist along.

Chapter 9, nothing good. The protagonist goes on a mission with Jian Lao, and this time Jian Lao is the only combatant. He has not recovered from his previous injuries, and will faint if he activates the device again, so he needs the protagonist's help to wake him up. Then the protagonist lies quietly in the pit as usual, waiting for the battle to end. Chapter 10, a desperate choice. Someone fell from above and landed next to the protagonist, dead. Judging from the content of the other party's conversation, this is a gang of thugs. The protagonist absorbed the energy block brought by the deceased without hesitation and climbed to the top of the slope. He hesitated for a moment and chose to act directly, eliminating the two enemies.

【Brief Comment】

Human Arsenal, a great writer, has written two works, "Against the Current of the Age of Innocence" and "Above the Dome".

I have previously introduced his work "Against the Current of the Age of Innocence", which is a period novel and quite interesting.

Today's book should actually belong to the science fiction warrior category, similar to "Attack on Titan", with supernatural beings with mobile devices.

Let me report the results first.

This book was put on the shelves on February 1, 2019, with an initial order of 7700. Currently, it has 2 collections on Qidian, 41 collections in the bookstore, 6.88 fans, over 94 alliance leaders, 8 silver alliance members, and is a three-star work.

This book performed better than "Against the Current of the Age of Innocence", with a deeper subject matter and a more far-reaching intention.

It’s just that themes like wasteland, apocalypse, and super soldiers are not easy to write, but they are themes that many authors love to write about nowadays.

"The First Sequence", "Dark Moon Era", "Wasteland", and the next new book by the diving squid are all of similar style.

In fact, I personally don’t particularly like this type of subject matter, because if it is not written well, it will deviate from life and easily be tainted with dark tones, which is quite depressing.

Wu Ku's writing style is obviously different from Elbow's, and there is no obvious cheerful tone in his doomsday writing.

Wu Ku himself was not very happy writing the book. I didn't introduce this book in detail before because I heard that he encountered great resistance and great emotional fluctuations when writing it.

If the author of a book finds it painful to write, the readers will also feel particularly depressed when reading it.

Therefore, I rarely recommend this type of work. I tend to recommend works that are more joyful and funny, which can help people relieve the frustrations of real life.

However, only works like this one can spread further and deeper, because only pain can make people grow.

This is a good book, with some serious literary connotations, but I do not recommend that authors learn this style of writing, as it will be painful.

From a reader's perspective, I recommend reading "The First Sequence", which gives people food for thought amidst joy and hope amidst despair.

Alternatively, you can also read another book by Wu Ku. His period writing is very charming and relatively cheerful.

【to sum up】

Writing is not easy, so cherish every moment!

I’m Cang Yiwei, and I’m here to promote “Cang’s Ramblings”!
Welcome to the paradise of book reviews.

【Cang's Ramblings】

Having said all this, I can actually see that I don’t really like the style of this book.

It’s not that the book is bad, it’s just that everyone has different preferences.

That’s all I’ll write today. If I continue, the next chapter will be long overdue.
