Chapter 117 The Sea Queen
The territory of the marine species is much larger than that of the elven kingdom.

There are many shops here, just like on the mainland, selling food, clothing, jewelry and other goods.

Marine species feed on seaweed, algae, various plankton, or other small marine organisms.

Small fish eat shrimp, big fish eat small fish, and marine life eats everything.

Hela bought three seaweed cakes. "The food in the sea is far inferior to that in Sandstone Town. We'll just have to make do with this."

The seaweed cake did taste just so-so.

Loren thought he should sprinkle some Demon Flame Grass powder on it.

This will turn it into extra spicy seaweed.

Hela took Loren and his sister sightseeing and introduced them to each other.

The eldest sister, Hera, is the owner of the Deep Sea Casino.

She learned card games from the mainland, popularized them, gave bored marine species something to do, and caused some marine species to lose everything.

Gambling and drugs are extremely harmful, and even marine species are not immune to their effects.

Those marine creatures who cannot repay their debts are either captured and forced to mine or sold into slavery.

The Siren species can offer very high prices to buy the Marine species.

Loren asked quietly, "Won't the Queen of the Sea have any objections to your eldest sister doing these things?"

“My mother has never cared about these things, and she won’t help if something happens.”

That's what she said, but when something really happens, Loren doesn't believe she would just sit idly by.

Moreover, Hera is very powerful, and as the daughter of the Sea Queen, almost no one dares to cause her trouble.

Upon arriving at the casino, Hela introduces Loren, Loris, and Hera.

Hera looked at Loren with great interest.

"Little sister, no wonder you always want to go out and make big money, it turns out it's all to support a gigolo."

Loren felt offended.

Hela retorted angrily, "I'm not a gigolo!"

Hera looked at Loris in confusion, "Why are there women here?"

"she is my friend."

Hera greeted them politely, "Welcome, both of you. Would you like to play a couple of rounds with me?"

“No need!” Hela refused sternly.

The three did not linger at the casino.

Then they went to the residence of their second sister, Laura.

Laura is a gloomy homebody who spends all her time holed up in her little house and never goes out.

Hela and the other sisters are working hard to earn money and improve their strength by purchasing Ocean Breeze.

Laura, on the other hand, is different.

She has no ambition for ability; she just wants to stay at home and live a life of leisure.

Then came the third sister, Sheila.

Sheila often goes ashore to hook men.

With her outstanding looks and beautiful singing voice, she caught fish every time.

Hela didn't want to bring Loren to meet Sheila.

But since Sheila is the older sister, it's only polite for her to pay a visit.

Just as Hela had predicted.

Upon meeting, Sheila showed great interest in Loren.

"Little sister, you have good taste! Where did you pick up this man?"

Hela gripped Loren tightly. "Third sister, you can't do anything reckless! I'm going to marry him!"

Sheila was taken aback. "Marriage? Foolish sister, I thought you had finally come to your senses and realized the benefits of men, but I didn't expect you to still be so stupid."

Marriage means being tied to another person for the rest of your life.

More importantly, once married, it's impossible to find another man.

Sheila felt it was such a pity.

She had initially thought Loren was quite good-looking and wanted to ask Hela for him to play with.

There's definitely no hope now.

Having met Hela's three older sisters, Loren and Loris finally arrived at the Sea Queen's palace. The architectural style of the Seafolk was extremely similar to that of humans; they had learned these styles from humans.

Loren came to the Ocean City partly to search for a mysterious object, the mystery of the Star Sea.

On the other hand, it was for the purpose of proposing marriage.

Whether it was Celucia's request or Loren's own idea, he would have to propose to the Sea Queen sooner or later.

Judging from Hela's attitude, the Sea Queen may not agree so easily.

Before entering the palace, Loren summoned Bai Xi.

Given the Sea Queen's strength, she should be able to sense her presence.

Since that's the case, we can't let her hide in the shadows, lest it be impolite.

At the entrance of the luxurious palace, a squad of marine guards is patrolling.

Seeing Loren and the others approach, they went up to ask them questions.

Hela pulled back her hood. "They are my friends. Take us to Her Majesty the Queen."

"Yes! Your Highness, please wait a moment, I will go and report to His Majesty immediately."

Led by the guards, Loren and the others arrived at the main hall.

Seated on the ice crystal throne directly in front of the main hall was a beautiful woman, Queen Lyra of the Sea.

Beside her was a small and adorable mermaid.

This is Hela's sister, Karami.

Karami's upper body had transformed into a human form, while her lower body remained that of a fish.

This shows that marine species are not born in human form.

Lyra looked down at Loren and the others, "Humans and demons... what brings you to my Sea-Dwelling Palace?"

The cold tone created a strong sense of pressure.

Loren bowed respectfully. "Your Majesty, I am Loren, the lord of the Elf Earl's Territory in the Elf Kingdom. These two are my sister, Loris, and my maid, Bai Xi."

"I have come here primarily to propose marriage to you. I wish to marry Hela, and these dragon coins and magic ore are a dowry to Her Majesty the Queen."

Loren took out five boxes of dragon coins and five boxes of magic ore.

These dragon coins and magic ore are worth at least 100,000 gold coins.

Hela turned sharply to look at Loren. "The betrothal gifts? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Didn't I tell you I was going to propose marriage?"

Do marine species not need to prepare betrothal gifts?
Hela looked at the treasure chest before her, her heart bleeding.

She and Loren will be family sooner or later, so isn't this money her money?
If it falls into Leila's hands, she won't get a single penny!
Leila didn't care about any of that.

"Do you really think you can win Hela's heart with just this?"

"Of course not, I was just expressing my feelings."

Leila looked coldly at Hela, "Didn't I warn you that no matter what happens, you must not reveal your identity to anyone else?"

Hela remained silent.

That's not what she said.

Even when Loren asked her about her identity, she only gave a vague answer.

But later, somehow, Loren guessed that she was the daughter of the Sea Queen.

Loren explained, "Your Majesty, you have misunderstood."

Actually, it was the Elf Queen who, upon learning of my relationship with Hela, specifically told me about her identity.

The Elf Queen also hopes to re-establish trade relations with the Ocean City through us.

Even if Loren didn't say it, Lyra could guess what was going on.

He might as well have said it himself; at least that would have seemed more sincere.

Leila looked at Loren, lost in thought.

Past experience taught her that humans are very cunning and should never be trusted.

So many marine species were captured and enslaved by humans in the past because they were too innocent.

If these things happened to Hela, she would find it even more unacceptable.

Leila coldly refused, "Take these things back with you. I don't agree."
