Chapter 70 Calling for People
The Death Ghost Chapter originated during the 13th Founding. Their parent chapter was the Raven Guard of the Ducks.

Even those who privately knew some detailed intelligence about this chapter referred to them as the "Imperial Chapter!"

As for why it has this name?

This brings us to the time when Merlin Corcadus, the first Chapter Master of the Death Ghost Chapter, swore an oath to the Emperor at the Golden Throne, receiving a vision—or perhaps guidance from the Emperor himself. Following this guidance, the Chapter Master led his Chapter to Oredus, built the monastery fortress of Logepol, and unearthed an ancient artifact—arguably the destiny of their entire Chapter…

: Salix's "Glass Throne".

No one knew how to use this glass throne. Specific information was scarce, but as research progressed, they gradually concluded that it was a device with the same function as the Golden Throne of Terra.

Therefore, their mission was to monitor the situation of the supernatural inhabitants throughout the entire Ghoul Starfield.

Finally, after discussions within the battle group!

From then on, every chapter leader chosen from the chapters had to be a psionicist, and the strongest of them all, to sit on the throne.

In exchange for this, they could obtain enormous amounts of psionic energy to monitor the entire Ghoul Starfield!

However, the price is that the lifespan of the chapter commanders who sit on this throne will be greatly reduced. It's as if this glass throne trades lifespan for its immense spiritual power. Ultimately, with the passage of time, they will turn into rock-like matter and dissipate with the wind.

It's practically identical to the Golden Throne on Terra!
So much so that some people refer to the Emperor on Terra as an old, greasy man sitting on a golden toilet.

The leader of the Death Ghost Chapter on Aurelius was referred to as "Little Bacon Sitting on a Glass Toilet."

Some heretical terms!
Once the chapter master sits on the glass throne, he only communicates with certain key personnel and does not manage anything else.

This resulted in the position of battle group commander becoming a nominal one. All matters concerning the battle group were managed by the think tank or the company commanders of each company.

And although they are a loyal warband, their actions seem chaotic!

Just like...

Their selection process for new recruits!

Although they claim to be protecting the Empire, in truth, they don't protect the humans on the planet's territory, because they feel that protecting and saving these human worlds in the Ghoul Starfield is of no use to the Empire.

Therefore, they would occasionally raid these human worlds to capture outstanding women to use as breeding machines for their soldiers.

So much so that the local people equated them with "ribs".

And the so-called outstanding soldiers...

They were bred from women they abducted, whom they considered to be exceptionally beautiful!

They plundered the finest women from each world and used them as breeding material. Then they settled them on several reproductive planets surrounding their own.

Conceive and give birth like a machine!
-

"Why them?" Tiberius, the leader of the Shark Chapter, was somewhat bewildered as he looked at the intelligence sent back by the chapter.

To be honest, he wasn't particularly fond of this warband. Although... he was well aware of how their warband was viewed by the common people of the Empire!
but……

When it comes to recruit selection, the Ghosts of Death raid a world, destroy it, and then abduct young women to reproduce.

They, on the other hand, raid a human-run planet, grabbing young boys unarmed and throwing the captured young girls into a volcano! They don't cause widespread destruction to that world. So, which one do you think is better? It's obvious!

But all in all... which one is better, the Manhunter Band or the Death Ghost Band?

Although it might seem like the pot calling the kettle black, that's the truth!
"Hopefully, these death-worshipping guys won't cause us any losses!" Tiberius said with a hint of helplessness.
After hanging up the communication, he was about to turn around and launch a molten attack on the incoming bombs in the opposite passage. However, the fierce barrage of explosive fire forced him back into a corner!

"Gan!"

……

Meanwhile, watching the two fleets locked in fierce combat in the distant starry sky, a group of towering Astartes were gathered on the bridge of the Death Ghost Chapter, discussing the current situation.
If it weren't for the warband commander on the Glass Throne providing them with the information, they probably wouldn't have known about the plea for help from Lesstar.

To be honest, when they first heard the news of the rescue, everyone felt it was a very risky situation!
A half-crippled, newly recovered Seraphim Legion, and a Man-Eating Shark Legion that has accumulated countless years of experience.

And now we also have to count on their Death Ghost Legion!
So this battle doesn't sound like an easy one!
After all, even the Man-Eating Shark Squad was mobilized and requested reinforcements. One can imagine how brutal this battle was.

They and the Shark Caravan both operate in this sector and are fairly familiar with each other. The fact that even a caravan like the Shark Caravan needs to request reinforcements after being attacked shows just how serious the situation has become!
Their think tank even made a prediction before their departure. But after the prediction came out, they all fell into a collective silence!

Then they watched silently as their two combat barges, along with several strike cruisers and some escort ships, suddenly sailed out from various starports and gathered in orbit above their home planet, Orletus!

This left them completely bewildered, because they hadn't given the order! But then, the warband commander, who sat on that glass throne looking like a piece of cured meat, actually sent them a psionic message from thousands of miles away!

The message urged them to do everything in their power to quickly reach the support location!

Everyone looked at it and realized, "This is it!"
This is an apocalyptic war!
There's no other way, we'll have to call in reinforcements!

Immediately afterwards, a message was sent to the Black Templar! Of course, it wasn't the fully-fledged Black Templar. If it were the fully-fledged Black Templar, they wouldn't need any further support after arriving.

The message they sent was about the Opalia Expeditionary Force, a branch of the Black Sanctuary roaming the Ghoul Starfield and its vicinity. They were quite powerful, just a bit lacking in manpower; publicly, they claimed to have around 300 Astartes!

But in reality, it's much higher! It could be over a thousand.

And they were still considering whether to bring the Ash Claws over as well. Even though the Ash Claws had betrayed the Empire and were a traitorous Chaos Chapter, they were, in a way, a legitimate, uncorrupted Chapter!

And they still worship the Emperor to this day! To be honest, these three warbands in the Ghoul Starfield have a relatively "good" relationship. How could they leave out their brothers when such a "good" thing happened?
But after thinking it over, they decided to give up! They didn't want to be judged as traitors by the Imperial Inquisition and lose their supplies! Even though the Empire hadn't given them any supplies, every little bit helps!

Even a belt that's tightened at the waist is a form of replenishment!

Then, carrying all their belongings, they began their journey towards the support location. Their progress wasn't particularly rapid, as their think tank was still discussing action plans.

But who could have imagined that the subspace seemed to have gone mad, instantly shortening their journey, which originally took a long time, to just a few days.

Then they found themselves in this star system in a daze, watching the two fleets fighting to the death in the distance!

Meanwhile, the two fleets, locked in a life-or-death struggle, stared in disbelief at the Death Ghost Legion fleet that emerged from the warp!

"So fast?"
