Chapter 40 Space and Debris
Chapter 40 Space and Debris
Ruger swore in his heart to the ethereal spiritual light that often watched over him that this tone, which sounded like someone about to die, was definitely that of a demi-human, and it was also a form of communication through psychic techniques. It was a distinctive intonation that you could never forget after hearing it once. No matter how the words and sentences were combined, it would eventually become a dull, emotionless reading of a script.
Luger slowly turned his head.
The voice continued to speak, and Ruger used it to sense it with his mind. Unfortunately, it wasn't actually speaking, so he couldn't determine its location by sound. He lifted his foot and began to wander through the snake den that once belonged to the Gray Longneck Saint in the corner of the cave, tightly grasping the strange spatial fragment in his hand.
Suddenly, the voice stopped speaking.
Luger also stopped, closed his eyes, and held the colorful fragments against his forehead.
When he opened his eyes again, he looked directly at the place where he was standing.
"Oh? Okay..." The voice appeared again.
Luger bent down and began to clean several large bones from under his feet.
Until one eye looked straight into his.
"What does he look like now?"
The one eye stared straight at him without blinking, and asked a question abruptly and without context.
He looked at the scene in front of him and recalled what the half-man had told him.
He probably understood what the question meant, but he wasn't sure how to phrase it. After thinking for a moment, he said, "He... can already sit up."
Is this an answer? But it's probably what the other party wants to know, he thought.
Then he held up the half head in his hands.
After hearing what he said, the other party remained silent, as if he had no desire to communicate. He felt that if his eyelids could move, he would have closed his eyes, as if he had accepted his fate.
"You...you, are you still alive?" He couldn't get an answer from the half-human, so he planned to trick him into asking some questions.
"of course."
After a long while, this half of the head finally broke out of silence and uttered a word.
Ruger continued to look for opportunities as he walked towards the half-man, but the other party no longer responded. After several attempts, he had to shut up rationally.
Since he couldn't ask any more questions, he began to quicken his pace.
He didn't dare to go too far and could only pretend to be curious and talk casually. Hinting was already his limit. He had considered that this person who didn't know what was going on might go back and tell tales, which would be very embarrassing.
He ran all the way with his short legs until smoke came out, and curiosity was his best motivation.
He also found that the more intense the exercise, the more effective the potion was, and even some of his previous scars had disappeared.
When he arrived at the crossroads, he didn't have to wait this time, as half of the people had already appeared.
Without saying a word, the half head floated over and a brand new handsome guy was assembled in front of him.
"Smart little cobweb, you did a great job."
After a while, the half-man finished installing the head and communicated again with mental power.
Ruger blinked. There was no sign of abnormality in this person anymore. He was like a brand new product that had never been damaged. However, he still appeared and disappeared, as if he would disappear at any time. Another point was that perhaps he could no longer be called a half-human.
Snap! The half head was broken off again.
The dog-headed man opened his mouth, then slowly closed it seriously.
The other party must have a reasonable reason for doing this. As a guy with little experience, he just needs to watch. Just as he was thinking this, the half head swayed and floated into his hands, but this time the eye was closed.
"Next, let's try to complete this unique gift. This space fragment already has a certain compatibility with you. We can use it as a seed, and I will help you soothe its tremors." The half-man said. Ruger felt the colorful space fragment in his hand suddenly tremble, and he subconsciously grasped it tightly.
As he exerted force, the fragments became smaller and smaller, and in the blink of an eye they seemed to drill into the palm of his hand and disappear.
He could feel that the fragments just touched his sea of spiritual power and then floated away, instead of penetrating into his body.
A colorful little light spot is connecting to his mental space.
"very good."
It seemed like no one had expected it to go this smoothly.
Ruger tried to explore the small thing connected to his mental power, and unconsciously closed his eyes and entered a meditative state. After touching it several times, he suddenly realized that it seemed to be an independent small space. A thought flashed in his mind, and when he opened his eyes again, the long stick in his hand had disappeared. Under the perception of his mental power, the long stick had appeared in that space.
It seems that I won’t need a storage bag in the future, he thought.
The half-man in front of him obviously noticed all this.
"Now, you can roll your dice. The dice are thrown in that space. I believe you know what to do." said the half-man.
Luger was a little nervous.
"That's going to be okay, right?" he said.
"That space is in a very special state now. It can't just be used as a storage bag. You can try to use it for something more useful. Maybe there will be some extra surprises, just like you. This world needs surprises."
The half-human's tone of voice remained the same, but his words seemed more human than before. Ruger thought so, not knowing whether it was his illusion.
Now that things had come to this, he gritted his teeth and gave it a try.
He took out the devil dice, and with a thought in his mind, the devil dice appeared in that space, but nothing changed.
"It's not income," the half-man suddenly stopped him, "It's not stored in that space like a storage bag, it's you who are here, throwing it in."
Ruger nodded in confusion and came again.
Holding the dice in his hand, he gently threw it forward, and at the same time, his mind naturally connected with that space, and a colorful small opening appeared in front of him, like a door, but it was very small, so small that even mice had to queue up to pass through.
As the dice entered, the small space door closed instantly.
Without waiting for instructions, Ruger went to sense the state of the space, closing his eyes just to make it easier to concentrate.
The dice rolled in the space and finally stopped at the side of one. Unfortunately, there was no target here for it to go blind.
"It's blindness." Ruger said after coming to his senses.
"Very good, continue on to the devil's bargain side."
Following the half-man's advice, Luger continued throwing. Nothing went wrong the first time, and he gradually became bolder.
The result was not sure whether to be happy or terrified, as the third roll was five, representing the deal side. This showed that what the half-man said before about the dice rarely bringing bad luck in the first few times was completely nonsense. Of course, this could not be refuted at all, because the half-man said it was rarely, not absolutely.
The dice rolled the long-awaited side, but the legendary devil of the deal did not appear.
The wonderful space connected to Ruger began to ripple and vibrate, gradually distinguishing the up and down, left and right. The dice began to spin continuously in the air under the vibration. He felt that this space could be compared to a tangled mess before, like a ball of silk thread coiled together and tied into a knot. It had the concept of space and a good capacity, but could not hold much. Now it was gradually being sorted out in the vibration, and countless irregular branches were stretched and straightened.
Gradually, a regular room-sized space appeared successfully. The space continued to expand, and at the same time, a conspicuous dark red crack appeared in the corner of one side of the room.
The rumbling tremors in space continued for a long time until they expanded to the size of a small village.
"You have sensed it, right? There should be a crack leading to the abyss, born in the space that belongs to you. It is a door and also part of the gift. The material for your magic skin spell comes from the butt of a wild demon. As long as you cast the magic skin spell, you can simply disguise yourself as a little demon to go on an adventure. Of course, there is also your most proficient smelly skin. Everything is the best match." said the half-man.
