The number one playboy on the Peninsula!

Chapter 185: Winning the Best Actor Award

Chapter 185: Winning the Best Actor Award at Baeksang Arts Awards
The 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards was hosted by Nikkan Sports and JTBC Plus. The awards ceremony was held at COEX in Gangnam District, Seoul, and was broadcast live on JTBC and JTBC2, and online via Daum and Kakao Talk.

At 5 p.m., outside the COEX venue, reporters from major media outlets saw the straight-line Maybach and the license plate number that the paparazzi had long known and memorized, and immediately focused their cameras on the unopened car door.

Today, the most popular artists in the peninsula, including actors, singers, idols, variety show stars, etc., are not as good as the boy sitting in the Maybach.

The car door slowly opened, revealing her fair and soft curvy calves, wearing thin white high heels about 10cm high. Bae Suzy shook her short hair, and her marketing smile filled hundreds of cameras.

"Ashi, why is it Suzy?"

"Where is Tarot?" Many media frowned speechlessly. "National First Love" is naturally the darling of the media, but how can Xiba compare to the owner of this Maybach?
"Nuna, why do you look so ugly when you smile?" Gong Cheng buttoned up his suit jacket and calmly got out of the car. He looked around at the media with his tall figure and waved with a smile.

"Tarot, can you win the Best Actor award?"

“Tarot!!!!”

"..."

The questions from fans and media attracted a large number of artists who had just gotten off the stage outside the venue. Most of them were senior figures in the TV drama and film departments, as well as directors, screenwriters and producers of some crews.

The biggest highlight tonight is the competition for Best Actor and Best Actor in the TV and film departments.

If Gong Cheng can really win the Best Actor award tonight, it will be a historic first in the entertainment industry.

Gong Cheng and Bae Suzy came to the red carpet in the venue, stood up straight and allowed the media to take a few red carpet photos, while the background wall behind them was filled with various sponsorship logos.

"Our Xiao Cheng, the big shot." In the hall of the venue, Kim Eun-sook, the director of Goblin and Lee Ji-eun stood together, looking at Gong Cheng who walked down the red carpet with smiles on their faces.

"Eun-sook Nunna, Yingfu Ge, Ji-eun Nunna." Gong Cheng quickly walked up and hugged several people, and after Bae Suzy greeted the big screenwriter and director in the circle, she hurried to the backstage to change into the dress for the hosting.

"Teacher, why are you here too?" Gong Cheng looked at a thin figure walking into the venue with some surprise - Cheng Xizhen, a professor in the Department of Performance at Yonsei University.

"You're her favorite student, how could she not come?" Kim Eun-sook chuckled and patted Gong Cheng's junior. "Besides, Hee Jin-nu has been a member of the jury for both the TV and film categories at the Baeksang Arts Awards for several years."

"Every year, all television and film works need to be reviewed by your teacher and other seniors, and then voted on for nominations and awards."

Gong Cheng looked at the teacher not far away. Many young directors and screenwriters who entered the venue were surrounding her and greeting her. She could vaguely hear the words "teacher" and greetings. They should be the teacher's other students.

"By the way, Xiao Cheng, why haven't you been accepting any scripts lately? Are you waiting to star in Nuna's new play?" Seeing that Cheng Xizhen couldn't come to terms with it for a while, Jin Eun-sook pushed her glasses and jokingly said, "Your teacher has been having a lot of headaches about this lately and has come to complain to me."

"It was the time when the momentum was at its peak, and you turned down a lot of good scripts, including those for the big screen."

Ever since "Goblin" became a huge hit in Asia, Gong Cheng has indeed received many scripts, but he was busy with the first regular series and turned them all down. After all, the focus of his work is still on music.

In addition to the huge success of Goblin, there is another deeper reason for the script being handed to him. After his song topped the B charts, his influence in Asia, if not globally, was secure. As long as he was willing to film, the ratings were guaranteed.

Just like his first TV series "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" last year, which performed mediocrely in the peninsula, but was a big hit in China. With his current influence, the drama has been brought out again and become popular across Asia.

Moreover, in the eyes of many directors and screenwriters, Gong Cheng is indeed an actor, not one of those singers or idols who switched careers...

His popularity can guarantee the bottom line of the ratings, and his acting skills can also hold up, otherwise he would not be nominated for Best Actor.

"I'm so tired, I'm so busy all the time. There are so many things that have never stopped since my debut." Gong Cheng rubbed his face, feeling a little helpless. When he was filming "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" last year, there were those boycott incidents.

Now with the Bombardment Meteor incident, things aren't going well.

As he spoke, he glanced at Lee Ji-eun who was standing next to director Lee Eung-bok. That guy was introducing IU to other directors and screenwriters. It was an introduction, but it was also a promotion to help her expand her network.

"Are you confident in winning the Best Actor award?" Kim Eun-sook changed the subject.

"If I say yes, wouldn't that be a bit too arrogant?" Gong Cheng laughed. Since he was already standing at the venue of the award ceremony, who would want to go home empty-handed? He was not interested in the nominated newcomer award.

"teacher."

After seeing Sung Hee-jin coming over, he went forward and hugged this teacher he met halfway. He had to say that he was really nice to him. The work on "Goblin" was all done with the help of this teacher and screenwriter Yang Hee-seung.

"Don't try that." Cheng Xizhen looked at the disciple's playful expression and said unhappily. She was initially dissatisfied with Gong Cheng for turning down all the scripts after the filming of Goblin was completed.

The huge hit of the drama Goblin has broken many records in the TV drama department. If you don’t work hard to seize the rising period and establish your own position in the circle at this time, what are you waiting for?

However, after learning about the achievements of this disciple in music, she found that she was worrying too much. But she still hoped that this disciple, whom she had high hopes for, could appear on more big screens.

"Ani, teacher, how are you?" Gong Cheng asked with concern, feeling a little guilty. It was like he had painstakingly trained a disciple, Momo Hirai, who had a natural talent for boxing.

I hope she can stand on the UFC stage, but this traitor didn't stand in the octagon, but ran to the park to perform acrobatics.

"When will we start filming again?" Cheng Xizhen asked the question that concerned him most. In short, he could take a break, but he couldn't stop filming.

"How about two years, teacher? I need to consolidate my situation in these two years, and I also have to prepare for the tour and other things." Gong Cheng thought for a moment and said seriously. This is indeed his current career plan.

He has already talked to Park Jin-young. In addition to his personal world tour next year, he will also have the group's Asian tour. Just these two things will probably keep him busy from the beginning of the year to the end.

Cheng Xizhen sighed. It was pretty much what she expected. Since she had already achieved such great success in music, she really needed to consolidate her achievements. Otherwise, if she tried to do both, her success would probably be short-lived and she would be in vain.

"Don't worry, teacher. I really like filming and I won't give up. I have to do my best to honor you and win the Best Actor award first." Gong Cheng put his arm around the teacher's shoulders and comforted him with a smile.

"You're so arrogant! First, take down tonight's Best Actor award." Cheng Xizhen looked at his favorite student helplessly, then dismissed him, "Alright, the awards ceremony is about to begin. Don't you still have a performance?"

"Since you've decided to take a break, I'll help you turn down your senior brothers' invitation to dinner. But you still have to hang out with them more often when you have time."

"Come back to school when you have time. Shen Jinghao is so proud."

"Yes, teacher." Gong Cheng agreed with a smile. He figured the senior students who were looking for him were probably directors or something. He remembered his teacher saying that many of her students ended up acting; most of them went on to become directors or producers.

Shin Kyung-ho was his mentor when he was studying at Yonsei University, and his current major is composition.

……

When we arrived at the award ceremony, many actors and directors had already taken their seats.

Gong Cheng and his group represented the crew of "Goblin" and walked through the corridor. Many actors' eyes were cast on the tall figure walking at the end. They sat on the right side of the first row. Coincidentally, the Kpop senior, Yoona, was sitting in the back row.

Also sitting next to her is Do Kyung-soo, who is nominated for tonight's Popularity Award in the Film Department.

"Brother DO, long time no see."

"Yoona-senpai."

Before sitting down, Gong Cheng greeted the two people behind him. Lin Yuna's hairstyle tonight was a low ponytail, with slender diamond-shaped earrings hanging from her ears, and a rose-red off-shoulder dress with wide sleeves like a fan. It was okay, right?

"Tarot, hello."

The smile of the senior is always fake yet makes people feel like a spring breeze.

Gong Cheng nodded, then sat next to Lee Ji-eun, watching the award ceremony that was about to begin. Before the ceremony began, he had to perform a show according to the organizer's requirements.

"Is the performance about to begin?" Lee Ji-eun moved closer to Gong Cheng, covered her mouth with her small hands and whispered.

On the big screen of the award ceremony, the director turned the camera to Gong Cheng and Lee Ji-eun, and many fans screamed in the audience seats at the back of the venue.

Gong Cheng nodded. He had wanted to ask this sister if the song "Any Song" was really that popular. He really didn't want to sing, but when he saw his face on the big screen, he shut up.

He had no idea how the organizers had arranged it. They wanted him to sing "Any Song" right on stage to warm up the crowd before the host even took the stage. It felt like a showdown.

You said it should be like the MV of this song?
Gong Cheng unbuttoned his suit and straightened his crooked bow tie. The staff handed him a silver microphone.

More than a dozen directors' cameras were pulled horizontally to the center of a row, and the figures of actors including Park Shin-hye, Kim Ha-neul, Park Bo-gum, and Son Ye-jin flashed in the camera.

Lin Zhenna walked gracefully in high heels, a black long skirt, and a black and white clapperboard in her hand. In front of the camera, with a "click", the live broadcast of the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards officially began.

The sound of "boom, boom, boom" drums rang out in the venue, and all the actors present looked around in surprise.

Park Shin-hye, Son Ye-jin and others in the front row stretched out their slender index fingers and pointed to the far right in front of the camera, and the picture in the camera also moved in the direction indicated by the artists' figures.

IU shook her head to the beat, her silver earrings bouncing in the air. She snapped her fingers and pointed to the spot next to her in the camera.

Gong Cheng smiled at the camera, then stood up holding a silver hand microphone.

"Why are you all so dead?"

"What's the problem? Say something."

“The atmosphere is so depressing~”

"Is this all so boring these days?"

……

"Ah ah ah ah ah!!!!"

“Tarot!!!”

"Baeksang Emperor of Best Actress!!"

Gong Cheng's tall figure appeared in the camera and on the big screen, wearing an exquisite beige suit jacket, a white shirt underneath, straight trousers and a pair of long legs with great visual impact, as he walked step by step on the steps of the actor's seat.

Lin Yuna's face, which was originally smiling and clapping, froze when she heard the fans' cheers behind her, "Best Actor in the Baeksang Arts Awards?" What a joke!
"Why is everything so boring~"

"Ah~ Actually, me too~"

Gong Cheng held the microphone and smiled unrestrainedly at the camera that was so close to his cheek. The sun earrings on his ears and his bright teeth shone brightly and freely.

The performers in the audience clapped along to the beat with smiles on their faces. Many of the young performers, already captivated by this nationwide hit, started singing along. Their attitude towards Gong Cheng singing on stage was very different from that of the singers invited in previous years.

Around 10, the Peninsula Actors Awards Ceremony was criticized by many citizens and fans because the actors in the audience showed cold or impatient expressions towards the performances. Since then, the actors in the audience have started to do their old job and just "act".

"Play a random song first~~"

"..."

"I'm going to do whatever I want for now~"

In the actors' seats, many respected seniors in the entertainment industry clapped their hands with a smile and shook their heads to the beat, while the younger actors and actresses were having a great time. Lee Jong Suk, who has a good relationship with Gong Cheng, made some weird "DJing" gestures in front of the camera and looked very excited.

Compared to the hierarchy of seniors and juniors in Peninsula, the stratification of artists also has different levels. The status of movie actors is higher than that of singers, TV actors, variety show stars, and idols - but Gong Cheng, who smiled at the camera on the stage, is different.

With huge popularity and fan base, as well as achievements in the music market, his fame has already developed globally, and his influence is unique in the entertainment industry on the peninsula.

What's more, in the highlight of tonight's TV drama department, Gong Cheng has a high chance of winning the Best Actor award. Even if he doesn't win but is only nominated, he is still in the top tier among actors. After all, in the iteration of actors, before the iteration, the nominations for Best Actor and Best Actor every year are only the same few people.

"Dancing casually~"

"Make yourself look calm~"

Gong Cheng turned around, took off his beige suit jacket, walked through the actors' seats, and came to Bae Suzy who was sitting on the left side of the third row. The girl had changed into a black wrap-around dress and was doing gesture dance towards the camera.

"..."

As the song was about to end, Gong Cheng held Bae Suzy's hand, which was placed in his palm, and pulled her into his arms. The two of them danced the cha-cha slowly on the stairs of the actor's seat.

The atmosphere at the venue was relaxed and joyful.

Many female artists covered their mouths and exclaimed, then smiled.

One step, two steps, Bae Suzy placed her fingers on Gong Cheng's shoulders, and the hem of her black long skirt swayed like waves, lingering around the two people's dance moves - arriving on the stage of the awards ceremony, Bae Suzy turned around in his arms.

Immediately, Gong Cheng released his hand, turned around and smiled at the seniors and the audience. Following the organizer's procedures, the host took his place! The award ceremony officially began~
"Clap clap~"

Amidst thunderous applause, Gong Cheng made a simple farewell gesture and returned to the stage. Li Zhien hugged his suit and chuckled, "You danced well."

"I'm fine. I've been practicing extra dance lately." Gong Cheng took the suit and stood there, adjusting his shirt and tie. He then put on his coat and returned to his seat. "Oh my god, I just realized you're wearing so much jewelry! Necklaces, four rings, and bracelets..." IU muttered in amazement at the accessories on his wrists.

"They were all given by girls, right? We didn't have so many when we were filming together." Li Zhien exclaimed, "Player, what?" Then she pointed at the sandalwood bracelet on Gong Cheng's left hand and asked, "Have you been to Sequoia Temple too?"

"What kind of temple is Sequoia Temple?"

"Tsk tsk, I told you, it must have been given by a girl." Li Zhien curled her lips and explained in a low voice, "The Redwood Temple in Incheon is very spiritual and has many pilgrims. Many people go there to pray for safety and marriage."

"Keep your voice down, Jieun, and don't keep saying things that damage my reputation in public." Gong Cheng stroked the bracelet that Lim Nayeon gave her. He didn't believe in those bullshit ghosts and gods, let alone burning incense and praying to Buddha.

But the one given by the rabbit idol is different, and it makes me feel safe when I wear it.

"Can you have some shame?" Lee Ji-eun opened her mouth, speechless at the man's thick skin.

"..."

Not long after he sat down, Gong Cheng stood up and went on stage. He received the Best New Actor Award in the TV Drama category at the Baeksang Arts Awards for his performance in Goblin.

He was nominated for three awards tonight, the Best Newcomer Award, the Popularity Award, and the final Best Actor Award, commonly known as the Best Actor.

The award ceremony process of the Baeksang Arts Awards is that the TV drama department and the film department jointly decide the awards. For example, now, Gong Cheng has just received the Male Newcomer Award from the TV drama department, and the guests presenting the awards on the stage began to cue the Male and Female Newcomer Awards from the film department.

"Kim Taeri, Choi Soo-in, Im Yoona..."

The big screen scrolled the work for which Lim Yoona was nominated, the movie "Cooperation" released last year.

Gong Cheng was ready to stand up and congratulate this senior in the K-pop world. After all, he had a good relationship with Taeyeon from Girls' Generation, and three of the members in his group were from SM.

Friends of friends are all friends. Who knows, there might be opportunities for cooperation in the future. After all, the entertainment industry in Peninsula is so small.

"The winner of the Best New Actress Award in the Film category is Lee Sang-hee."

"..." Gong Cheng turned his head away awkwardly, staring at the big screen, which was scrolling through Lee Sang Hee's wonderful performance in "Love Talk".

"Lee Sang-hee played the role of..." in "Love Talk"

The presenter's introduction continued. Originally, Lin Yuna didn't care about the newcomer award. She had two nominations tonight, but what did the junior sitting in front of her mean?
It makes people feel a little awkward...

"The most popular actor in the TV drama category is Gong Cheng," said actress Han Chae-young, holding the cue card in her hand and announcing the answer with a chuckle. "The most popular actress is Kim Yoo-jung."

"Don't worry, there are still the most popular actors and actresses in our film department." She smiled and signaled the audience to be patient. She glanced at the card in her hand and announced the winners of the film department.

"D.O. Kyung-soo from 'Brother', Im Yoona from 'The Help'..."

Lin Yuna, who was sitting behind Gong Cheng, breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it was not a complete failure.

The four of them came on stage together and received the Popularity Award for their respective departments. After Gong Cheng and Kim Yoo Jung gave their acceptance speeches, senior Im Yoon-ah said: "Thank you everyone for letting me receive such a cool Popularity Award..."

……

At eight o'clock in the evening, the Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony was halfway through, and the winners of one of the highlights of this awards ceremony, the Best Actor Award, also known as the Best Actor Award, began to be announced.

On the big screen, the works of several actors nominated for Best Actor were scrolling back and forth, including Gong Sung's "Goblin", Namgoong Min's "Chief Kim", Park Bo Gum's "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds", Jo Jung-seok's "Jealousy Incarnate", and Han Suk-kyu's "Romantic Doctor Kim".

In the picture, Gong Cheng's figure in a windbreaker and countless shots regarded as famous scenes by the audience seem to bring the audience's thoughts back to the moment when the show was first aired, the romantic shots and the male and female protagonists' praised looks.

Perhaps the only shortcoming of this drama is that the acting of the heroine has been criticized, but the "ghost" Jin Yan played by Gong Cheng has left a deep impression on the audience's minds.

Bae Suzy changed into a pink halter dress with delicate floral patterns and styled her hair neatly up. Another host, Park Joong-hoon, stood by her side. "Next, we'll focus on the hotly debated Best Acting Award segment from the moment the nominees are announced."

"The awards will be presented by last year's winners in the TV drama category, Yoo Ah-in and Kim Hye-soo..."

The director at the venue kept cutting to Gong Cheng and the other candidates' faces, as if trying to gauge their expressions—nervousness or anticipation?

In fact, I would like to see how any of them would look if they unfortunately missed the award.

In the actors' seats, many actors also cast their eyes on these people, especially Yoona, who stared at the back of their heads and kept muttering in her heart, could they really win the award?

After all, she also watched the drama Goblin, and its ratings and acting were impeccable.

"Oh my~" Award presenter Kim Hye-soo took the list of winners in her hand and looked at it, a little surprised. Fortunately, the award ceremony of the Baeksang Arts Awards did not like to keep the audience in suspense like other awards.

Instead, after the surprise, he directly announced the name of the winner of the Best Actor Award. "The 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards, Best Actor Award in the Television Category—"

"Congratulations, Gong Cheng from tvn's 'Goblin'!"

"Ahhhhhhh~"

"..."

The moment the award was announced, thunderous screams erupted from the audience seats at the back of the venue, and the director's camera and the live broadcast camera were all pointed at Gong Cheng's face.

"Congratulations~" Lee Ji-eun, writer Kim Eun-sook, and director Lee Eung-bok stood up together and congratulated with a smile.

"Great~" Do Kyung-soo and Lim Yoona stood up and congratulated the junior. In the actors' seats, applause of congratulations rang out one after another, and everyone turned their eyes to the new Best Actor.

Gong Cheng stood up, buttoned up his suit, and strode onto the podium.

Sung Hee-jin sat in the audience and smiled, applauding and congratulating his favorite disciple. According to China's calculation method, this disciple has just turned 21 and has won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actor.

And in the global music scene, the song "Shape of You" is still dominating the B-charts. She doesn't know much about music, but she has heard about it a lot from another mentor of this child at Yonsei University.

Gong Cheng is the first male artist in history to win the championship on two charts: the Top 100 Singles Chart and the Album Chart.

"Gong Sung, who played the immortal god Geum-ryeong, a lonely yet brilliant figure in tvN's 'Goblin,' showcased his multifaceted charms, combining dominance and romance, with his solid acting skills. He has been praised as the pinnacle of acting. We sincerely congratulate Mr. Gong Sung on his award..."

Introduced by award presenter Yoo Ah-in, Gong Sung came under the spotlight and Kim Hye-soo handed him the bouquet and trophy.

The trophy for the Best Actor Award is golden in color, two palms long, and shaped like a trapezoidal golden trophy.

The flashlight-like exposure light shone on Gong Cheng's slender figure. He held the trophy, the light flickering on his handsome face. With a bright smile, he raised the trophy and gave a speech of thanks:

"I'm very grateful to my teacher, Professor Sung Hee-jin, as well as screenwriter Kim Eun-sook and director Lee Eung-bok, who have always loved me. I also want to say thank you to Eun-tak, who has shown so much love and care to the lonely Kim Jung..."

Lee Ji-eun clapped and smiled quietly in the audience.

Bae Suzy stood behind the scenes, pulled back the curtain and looked at the back of Gong Cheng, who was giving his acceptance speech under the spotlight in front of the stage. She couldn't help but take out her phone from her agent and took a photo of Gong Cheng. Then she smiled and sent it to Ming Jingnan, "Congratulations, Mina, you won the Best Actor award."

Gong Cheng was completely unaware of what was happening behind him, and his sincere smile infected countless viewers who were watching the live broadcast.

"And to all the staff who worked together to make Goblin happen, and the fans who supported me silently behind the scenes..."

……

Inside JYP, Twice's practice room, Naejin Minami was sitting on the floor with Lim Nayeon and the others, watching the live broadcast of the Baeksang Arts Awards.

After hearing the phone ring in her pocket, she took it out and took a look, then replied with a blushing face, "Suzy, we are not dating..."

Unfortunately, after she waited for a while, there was no response from Bae Suzy.

Mingjing Nan couldn't help but wonder what this bastard had said to Suzy senior.

"Oh my~ I'm so nervous. The Best Actor award ceremony is coming soon. Will Gong Cheng win?" Lin Nayeon covered her heart and stared at the tablet handed to her. She was a little nervous for him, even though she knew that her boyfriend's career focus was not on being an actor.

But I still hope he can get more.

"Isn't Oppa too young? He probably won't..."

"definitely will!"

"I think so too!"

There was a debate in the practice room for a while. Ming Jingnan looked at the photo sent by Bae Suzy on his phone and wanted to tell the members to stop talking because that bastard was almost done with his acceptance speech.

She sighed and put her phone away, ready to find a chance to ask Gong Cheng what was going on. Why did Suzy think we were dating?
Having made up his mind, Ming Jingnan turned his attention to the live broadcast of the Baeksang Arts Awards. Because the live broadcast was delayed by a few minutes, all the images in the live broadcast were still stuck at the moment when the answer to the Best Actor award was announced on the spot.

"Gong Cheng!"

"Hey Yigu!"

"Big fortune!"

"Oppa really won the Best Actor award! He simply created history for our K-pop!" Kim Dahyun said in surprise with her mouth open, and the members beside her jumped up excitedly.

Ming Jingnan smiled twice, then curled her lips slightly. Not to mention the members were excited, she felt that the Internet was about to explode again.

……

[Tarot won the Best Actor Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards for actor Gong Cheng! ]

[Both singer and actress blossom! Reaching the pinnacle! Tarot!]

[The Great Cold Netherworld's superstar, an internationally renowned Tarot figure! ]

Gong Cheng is suspected of dating the beautiful Lim Jin-na, and the two showed affection at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

At the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards, Tarot won Best Actor, while Best Actress went to Seo Hyun-jin, the lead actress in "Another Oh Hae-young." The grand prize went to writer Kim Eun-sook. This year's Best Actor and Best Actress awards went to Song Kang-ho and Son Ye-jin, respectively.

In the big news that shocked the entire Korean entertainment industry, Tarot once again swept the hot searches, but it was in the identity of actor Gong Cheng that topped the hot search list.

"Baeksang Arts Award winner, well deserved! Oppa is the best!"

"Ah Xi! I'm a fan of Gong Cheng. When will he start filming a new drama? The internet says he turned down a lot of big-budget scripts. It's such a shame~"

"What's wrong with Im Yoona? Isn't my oppa his ex-boyfriend? Why is your smile so stiff after winning the award?"

"Oh my god~ You already won the Best Actor award, oppa, when will you win the Best Actor award~ and enter Chungmuro~"

"Ahh! You drama fans, Oppa is an international superstar, you know? Chungmuro is nothing!"

"..."

……

The Baeksang Arts Awards ended with a group photo of the attending artists. Gong Cheng did not rush back to the company. The crew of "Goblin" won many awards at this awards ceremony, so at the suggestion of Kim Eun-sook and the director.

All the actors in the crew, including Lee Ji-eun and Yook Sung-jae, had a dinner together to celebrate the success.

"Have you really stopped filming in the past two years?" Lee Ji-eun asked, taking a sip of sake and sitting next to Gong Cheng. She had been wanting to ask this question since she heard him and the entertainment industry veteran's conversation at the awards ceremony that afternoon.

"It's hard to say. I don't have such an idea at the moment." Gong Cheng shrugged and said truthfully that no matter how busy he was, he really couldn't handle it. "We'll see how it goes. In the next two years, at most I can make a cameo appearance and show my face. It's quite interesting."

"Tsk tsk, if Suzy heard this, she'd definitely curse you in her heart." Lee Ji-eun looked at the guy's nonchalant expression, as if he didn't take the script seriously at all. His resources were simply too good to be true. Before coming here today, she had heard writer Kim Eun-sook talk about it.

She still wanted to find Gong Cheng to collaborate on the next drama, but Gong Cheng did not refuse. Instead, he directly told her about his career plan for the next two years. The implication was that he was too busy. Kim Eun-sook had to give up, which felt like a pity.

"Then you're overthinking it, Jieun. She won't curse me in her heart."

"Why?" IU put down her chopsticks, curious. These two were both more playful than the other. Could it be that they were attracted to each other? Were they in love? Did the Queen of the Sea come ashore, and the King of the Sea turned over a new leaf?
"Because she always scolds me to my face." Gong Cheng took a sip of wine and said with a smile.
