Chapter 387, Section 386: Daily Exercise
Under the moonlight, a bat flew through the air, taking in the view of the area near High Castle.

Without a large-scale mobilization, it seems that Alama is finally planning to take a break for a few days.

Flying back into the Dark Realm, Sigismund landed on the outer platform of the Crimson Spire. His waiting lieutenant respectfully stepped forward and handed him a familiar-looking jar.

"My lord, you don't need to personally investigate every day. You can leave such trivial matters to your subordinates."

"A large amount of supplies is about to arrive; we can't give Alama any chance."

"Your Excellency is wise."

Sigismund took a sip of the wine in the jar, then reluctantly put the lid back on: "Don't add sugar next time."

"Eh? But last time, sir, you..."

"Don't add sugar at this time of day from now on," Sigismund added expressionlessly.

The adjutant bowed his head and replied, "Yes."

Back in his room alone, Sigismund pulled off his robe, pinched the excess fat on his body, and mentally cursed Lin Jun's ancestors for eighteen generations.

All that talk about being cautious and personally conducting reconnaissance is a lie. The reconnaissance was just something he did along the way; his real purpose was to fly those two laps!

That guy, whenever it's his turn, consumes sugar without any restraint, even adding sweetness to the blood he eats.

Over time, Sigismund has visibly gained weight!

Because vampires cannot enjoy ordinary food, almost no vampire will eat themselves into obesity. Even those who were already overweight will quickly lose weight after being transformed into vampires.

Sigismund is definitely one of a kind when it comes to gaining weight.

At first, he did not realize the seriousness of the problem.

Until last week, in a seemingly ordinary encounter with Alama, he almost lost because of his bloated body!
Now he has to spend time every day expending energy, and even so, the trend of gaining weight has only been temporarily slowed down.

It was impossible to expect the thing inside his body to control itself; Sigismund could already despairingly foresee his future physique.

So far, he has tried several methods to remove foreign objects from his soul, but none of them have worked.

Fortunately, he wasn't without hope.

After more than two months, he sensed that the soul power of the guy in his body had weakened a little.

This is ultimately Sigismund's own body, while the other party is merely an outsider, without roots or origin, and is constantly depleting.

Although the loss is not obvious due to the enormous size of the other party's soul, he will eventually become weaker over time.

Sigismund roughly estimated the time it would take for the other party's soul to completely dissipate—two years.

It wasn't short, nor was it long. As long as there was hope, Sigismund was willing to endure and play along with him.

He endured six years to kill his master, and now, a mere two years will only be a minor embellishment in his eternal life.

Sigismund consoled himself with this thought as he threw the jar of sugar out of the room.

Just then, a vampire brought news from the rear: "My lord, Duke Verallis has led her troops away from the eastern defense line and is heading to support the Crimson Spire. They are expected to arrive in ten days."

"Oh? Finally!" Sigismund snatched the envelope. For once, Sigismund shared Eleanor's opinion about Veralis; both were quite wary of this mentally unstable individual.

But for Sigismund, none of these are problems as long as he can deal with his arch-rival Alama!
I quickly glanced at the contents: The elemental lord sealed in the Molten Dungeon broke the seal and took the initiative to set off an unprecedented demonic tide. The dwarves' Golden Flame Fortress fell, and two legions were reduced to less than 10% of their strength. The entire mountain range's power shifted to prioritize suppressing the dungeon!
"Those greedy and arrogant dwarves should have known this day would come when they chose to imprison the elemental lord instead of destroying it for the sake of the dungeon's resources! But... Your Highness certainly has some clever methods..."

The dwarves couldn't possibly be unaware of the importance of the seal, and Sigismund couldn't fathom how Prince Vesalius had managed to accomplish this so secretly.

He felt a growing sense of apprehension towards this vampire elder.

"What is an Elemental Lord?" The voice that suddenly appeared in his mind made Sigismund's smile look a little unnatural.

Sigismund initially intended to ignore the other party, but considering the two-year deadline, he felt he should act more friendly and cooperative to lull the other party into a false sense of security and prevent them from acting recklessly before the deadline.

So he explained:
"The so-called elemental lords are simply the longest-lived and most powerful elemental spirits, not fundamentally different from other elemental spirits. However, elemental spirits are a distinctly hierarchical system, with powerful and intelligent individuals having absolute control over ordinary elemental spirits. The dwarves used trickery to seal and imprison that elemental lord, thereby controlling all the elemental spirits in the dungeon and turning them into their slaves. Now, their time to reap what they sow has come!"

"Then what is this 'trick' you mentioned?"

"It's said they made a bet with the Elemental Lords, but the dwarves cheated in the end," Sigismund explained simply, seemingly not intending to go into details.

"I see……"

Seeing that Lin Jun had quieted down, Sigismund assumed that he was simply curious.

After all, the two of them are now one body with two souls, and they spend all their time in the Crimson Spire. They know exactly what the other does. How could they possibly have anything to do with the dwarves?
……

Stone Fortress Underground City.

Outside that newly opened rift were three layers of defense formed by his men.

It's just that space is limited, otherwise Lin Jun would have liked to bring more people.

The fire elementals that escape from inside will freeze to death on their own, but the earth elementals will at most be slightly slowed down, and the wind elementals will be completely unaffected.

However, these elemental spirits were not the reason why Lin Jun had deployed heavy troops to guard them.

The main reason is that a scout, Puji, was sent over to investigate and sensed the terrifying magical fluctuations in the air.

That powerful force made Lin Jun feel as if she had returned to the days when she was still in Mushroom Garden No. 1, just like when she sensed the powerful Flame Demon unleashing its power from afar.

Looking back now, I was right.

Lin Jun controlled several Puji and blew up the passageway in the room where the rift was located.

He didn't think he could defeat the elemental lord who destroyed a fortified city and required the dwarves to gather their strength to fight.

Even if you're hoping to snag a bargain, you shouldn't enter the market now.

Unfortunately, Lin Jun only occupied the Stone Fortress Underground City but couldn't control it. If she opened it in her own Puji Underground City, she could control its size and turn it on and off herself without worrying about anything.

Now that the passageway has been blown up, hopefully the other side won't notice.

And then there's another thing...

Seeing that Xiao Hei had been bribed and was now protecting the two short people while baring its teeth at the others, Lin Jun decided not to feed her Delicious Puji for the next few days.
