Chapter 200 Thunder Dragon
This deal was a freebie for Zhou Qing.

Ten years from now, he will inevitably have to go out and travel. Given his personality and the reputation he has already established in Western Antarctica, it will be difficult for him not to cause some trouble when he goes out to travel.

Over the next decade, he could use his own authority and that of the sect leader to implement internal reforms, streamline the relationships between the upper and lower levels of the Qingyun Sect, and further eliminate its hidden dangers.

Then, one should utilize the sect's resources to quickly improve one's cultivation level.

With the concentration of spiritual energy in the spiritual veins, coupled with his increasingly rapid cultivation speed, he should be able to reach the Foundation Establishment stage in ten years.

Once he reaches the Foundation Establishment stage, Zhou Qing estimates that his normal combat strength will already be equivalent to that of the Golden Core stage, and once he uses the "Rejuvenation of Withered Trees" technique, his strength will expand even further.

The next day, the sect leader convened a sect meeting.

It was clear that no one had received prior notice and they did not know the purpose of the meeting convened by the sect leader.

Some people thought it was to reconcile the relationship between Zhou Qing and the four major families.

When the sect leader handed a black iron longsword to Zhou Qing in front of everyone, everyone was shocked.

This black iron longsword is not some extraordinary magical artifact, but an ordinary iron sword that can be forged in the mortal world. What matters is its symbolic meaning.

This is the sword of the first ancestor of the Qingyun Sect.

The First Ancestor was born in the mortal martial arts world. Even after becoming a cultivator, he still carefully preserved the sword he used when he left home to venture into the martial arts world.

Later, this sword became the inherited seal of the Qingyun Sect.

The sect leader looked around at everyone and said, "From today onwards, this sword will be handed over to Zhou Qing. Does anyone have any objections?"

While not all the elders and the sect leader were entirely convinced, Zhou Qing now effectively controlled the sect's finances, and the lifelines of all affiliated families were in his hands, so no one dared to oppose him.

Therefore, the decision was quickly passed.

The sect leader smiled and said, "Zhou Qing has only been a disciple for three years, but his contributions to the Qingyun Sect are already evident to all."

"He reformed the sect's finances, creating new sources of revenue for the sect, which increased the sect's annual resources several times over. Everyone in the sect benefited from his kindness."

"He founded the Formation Association and served as its president, thereby forming close ties with the other seven sects. Now, the eight sects of us are increasingly connected and have become allies that are much closer than friendly sects."

"This greatly enhances the Qingyun Sect's defensive capabilities."

"His contributions are things that others cannot do or even dare to think of, and are comparable to those of the patriarchs of all ages."

"Therefore, I have decided to hand over the Black Iron Sword to Zhou Qing. After I am gone, he will be the next sect leader."

"The Master is wise."

A response came from among the elders.

The sect leader smiled and nodded, then announced the meeting was adjourned.

Mu Zhuosha reached out and patted Zhou Qing on the shoulder, a hint of jealousy in her voice: "When did you conspire with the old man?"

"Don't be rude."

Zhou Qing said with a stern face, "I am now considered a deputy sect leader, so you should show more respect in the future."

Mu Zhuosha glared at Zhou Qing, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pressed him against her chest, saying, "You haven't even become the sect leader yet, and you're already putting on airs with me. Even if you become the sect leader, I'll still be your senior uncle."

"Good, good, good."

Zhou Qing laughed and said, "Knowing that you are my senior brother, let go quickly. What kind of behavior would it be if others saw this?"

Mu Zhuosha then angrily released him.

Just as the two were about to go down together, they saw the sect leader walking slowly towards them and saying with a smile, "You can't leave yet."

Seeing Zhou Qing's puzzled expression, Mu Zhuosha explained, "The Qingyun Sect has two inheritances: the Black Iron Sword and the Thunder Dragon Ancestor. You have now obtained the Black Iron Sword, but you still need to meet the Thunder Dragon Ancestor to truly receive the inheritance."

So they were going to see the Thunder Flood Dragon. Zhou Qing's eyes lit up. He was very curious about this legendary creature that could unleash lightning and had been looking forward to meeting it for a long time.

The sect leader then led Zhou Qingfei down Qingyun Mountain. Directly below the Cliff of the Living Dead, there was a cave entrance about the height of a person, which was the entrance to the Thunder Dragon Cave.

Zhou Qing hadn't expected that the Thunder Dragon Cave was located right below his secluded cultivation spot. He wondered if he had disturbed the Thunder Dragon when he played with the magnetic field above.

The two walked inside.

Zhou Qing clearly felt the concentration of spiritual energy increasing. After they had walked more than ten feet, the space in front of them began to be filled with a white mist.

This mist is not water vapor, but rather a swirling spiritual energy.

Zhou Qing clicked his tongue in amazement, thinking to himself that the concentration of spiritual energy here was almost comparable to that of high-grade spirit stones.

The two walked several dozen feet further in, and suddenly the view opened up before them.

At the end of the cave is a small lake.

The surface of the lake was oily and honey-like, clearly not water, but rather a condensation of spiritual energy.

Besides the spiritual energy, Zhou Qing also sensed a burnt smell in the air, as well as tiny sparks of electricity that appeared out of nowhere from time to time.

He was worried that Lei Jiao would discover his manipulation of the magnetic field, so he did not activate the magnetic field as soon as he entered the cave. Even so, they could feel the chaotic voltage and the current flowing everywhere in the cave.

really scary!
However, Zhou Qing was not afraid.

Lei Jiao's terror was at least 30% less than that of others.

The two stood on the platform beside the lake for a while, and ripples began to spread across the surface of the lake.

Not long after, a huge black shadow leaped out of the lake with a splash.

Lei Jiao stood upright, watching the two of them with curiosity.

Zhou Qing suddenly realized that Lei Jiao was clearly different from what he had imagined.

It's not that they look different, but that they have different temperaments.

The thunder dragon before him was covered in shiny black scales, and its body was as thick as a dozen people could hug. Most of its body was underwater, so Zhou Qing couldn't estimate its length.

The Thunder Dragon has a short horn on its head, which is relatively short compared to its body size.

This appearance was not too different from what he had imagined.

Lei Jiao's temperament, however, was far beyond Zhou Qing's expectations.

The enormous creature's eyes were filled with innocence and curiosity, more like those of a child than those of an ancient demon who had lived for thousands of years.

He couldn't help but think to himself, "Could this guy have been staying here for thousands of years and never gone out?"
The sect leader bowed to Lei Jiao and said, "This child will be the next sect leader. I hope Elder Lei Jiao will take good care of him in the future."

Zhou Qing was certain that he saw a complex emotion in Lei Jiao's eyes, a mixture of grievance, reluctance, and sadness.

Then he saw Lei Jiao suddenly dive back into the water.

Zhou Qing was taken aback. He looked at the sect leader and asked, "Master, what is this?"

The sect leader smiled and said, "It's alright."

A short while later, the Thunder Dragon reappeared, carrying something in its mouth. It dropped it at Zhou Qing's feet and then sadly turned its head away.

Zhou Qing looked down and found that the things Lei Jiao had dropped resembled the horns on its head.

He guessed that these were the horns that had fallen from Lei Jiao's head. Just as he was wondering what Lei Jiao meant by this, the sect leader laughed and said, "This is a gift from the ancestor to you. Why don't you thank the ancestor?"
