Game of Thrones: I am Dothraki, not a barbarian

Chapter 44: The Second Banquet at Hongmen

Chapter 44: The Second Hongmen Banquet
"Lord Kao, 500,000 is worth considering!"

Olenna frowned, stood up, and slammed her cane on the ground, which shocked everyone. The guards also stopped and looked a little at a loss.

If these guards were not called by her, then they must have been sent by that stupid son of Mace. Did he think that he could scare a barbarian king in this way?
Stupid! Mace, whose side are you on?
I originally had a chance to bargain with Laharo, but after this incident, in order to prevent the situation from getting worse, I had no choice but to agree for the time being.

She glanced coldly at the captain of the guards, then turned to Rhallor and said, "However, Highgarden has plenty of wine and flowers, but unfortunately no warships. I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place."

Rahalo stared at the captain of the guards and sneered.

He was not afraid of these guards. Almost all the members of the Tyrell family were here. He was confident that he could hold Olenna or Margaery hostage with a dinner knife, and they must understand this.

He slowly stood up, his eyes swept across everyone's faces, and pointed at the middle-aged man opposite him wearing a green robe and a purple grape badge on a blue background:

"You don't, he does."

In an instant, everyone's eyes were focused on Paxter Redwyne.

He is a man with sagging shoulders, a thin build, and only a few tufts of orange hair on his bald head. He is the Earl of the Arbor, the most important ally of the Tyrell family, and controls the Arbor, one of the three major fleets in Westeros.

Redwine's expression suddenly changed when he heard this, but he forced himself to remain calm and said, "I'm sorry, Lord Kao, I don't know what you are talking about."

Rhallor continued, "Your wife is Mina Tyrell, daughter of Lady Olenna and sister of Lord Mace.

You have two twin sons, Ser Horace Redwyne and Ser Hober Redwyne, and a daughter, Desmera Redwyne.

Your Qingting Island has more than thirty warships with 200 oars to protect your family's wine business.

I know you well, so please do not deceive your guests. Moreover, those who violate the guest agreement will be despised by others and bring shame to the gods, and you will not take action."

For a moment, you could hear a pin drop in the hall.

Margaery couldn't help but ask curiously, "Lord Kao, how do you know all this?"

"The mouth is a weapon, and so are the ears." Rhallor looked at Olenna again. "Now, the warship is no longer a problem, right?"

"He's crazy! Warship? Why does he think we will give him a warship!" a noble muttered in a low voice.

"The Arbor Fleet is his personal property, and the Tyrells have no control over it." The smile on Olenna's face faded.

Rhallor sneered, "The entire Reach has sworn fealty to you, House Tyrell. How dare your son-in-law disobey you? Or is it that you, House Tyrell, can't even control your own vassals? Did he just watch the son of Lord Mace die?"

Olenna's face darkened. If this were to get out, the prestige of the Tyrell family would be damaged.

She took a deep breath and said, "We can barely afford 500,000 gold royals, but we really can't afford ten warships."

"Can't give it to me, or don't want to?" Rahalo's voice grew colder, a murderous glint in his eyes. "I don't have that much patience. If I don't get what I want today, you can prepare a coffin for Sir Garlan."

Margaery was startled by Rahalo's sudden change of expression. Tears welled up in her eyes as she leaned over to Olenna's ear and pleaded, "Grandma, Brother Garlan..."

Olenna glanced at her granddaughter, and when she saw Willas again, she also had a pleading expression.

"Alas, two impatient children," she sighed to herself.

Gods, why are these people so troublesome!

It’s not that Olenna is so great, but that she always relies on the people around her to set her off!
And there was Rahalo, the barbarian king who was smiling just now, but turned hostile in the blink of an eye. She didn't dare to gamble with Garlan's life.

If Garland died, Mays would definitely go crazy. That idiot loved his son the most.

Ten ships, for other lords, would require a lifetime of struggle, but for the Tyrell family, it was just a drop in the bucket.
If word got out that a duke's son had died for a mere ten ships, wouldn't the Tyrells be laughed at? But even giving them ships would be a problem. A warship with two hundred oars could only hold two thousand men. Wouldn't that be aiding the enemy?

"Can you change the terms?" Olenna said, her tone softening. "For example, food or wine?"

"No room for negotiation," Rahalo shrugged. "Give it to me, or we'll meet on the battlefield."

"Okay, I promise you." Olenna weighed the pros and cons, made a decision, and then said seriously, "But you have to release Garlan first, and you have to leave the Riverlands!"

"No. Every rower is a soldier. I need to leave safely. I won't let anyone go until we get to the destination."

"It's a deal!" Olenna sighed. "Not only will the gods bear witness, but so will the horse god!"

In the end, the two sides agreed on the details, including when to pay the money, when to deliver the ship, and when to release the people.

After the negotiation ended, Rhahalo led his warriors and galloped out of Highgarden, leaving behind a group of nobles from the Reach, whose faces were as ugly as they could be.

The group sped along the road and soon met up with five hundred warriors waiting not far away, preparing to return to Nightsong City.

Halfway through their journey, they passed through a small woods when a large army, ready for battle, suddenly appeared in front of them, blocking their way.

Lahalo pulled the reins of his horse and looked around. He saw that the enemy army had at least 5,000 men, with shining helmets and armor, and they were full of murderous intent.

In the front row were the Reach's heavily armored knights, followed by spearmen and archers. Their formation was rigorous, and they appeared well-trained and well-equipped, though their mobility was far inferior to his light cavalry.

Mace Tyrell rode a tall horse, his golden armor shining, and the golden rose on his helmet swaying in the wind, but he was quite fat, and the warhorse under his crotch was breathing heavily.

He looked at the Dothraki across from him, anger welling in his heart.

These ragged and dirty grassland barbarians are just a group of wild dogs and are not worthy of fighting against the knights of Westeros!

When he heard that his son was captured, it was as if the sky had fallen. He was angry and hateful. His bloodline, the second son of the Tyrell family, was actually captured by these barbarians like livestock. It was a great shame and humiliation for him!
When he learned that the Dothraki were going to Highgarden to negotiate, he felt that the opportunity had come. What's the point of talking about guest rights with the barbarians? They only recognize long swords!

The most difficult part of defeating the light cavalry is actually how to find them. Now, he knows their marching route very well!

If anyone dares to arrest his son, he will arrest the Horse King!
Five thousand versus five hundred, I don’t know how we lost this battle!
"These barbarians, what do they think the River Bend is? They can come and go as they please?" Mace gritted his teeth.

Beside him stood Lord Randyll Tarly, the most capable commander in the Reach, perhaps even in the Seven Kingdoms. He was tall and thin, holding a long-handled battle-axe.

Landor fought throughout his life, his most famous battle being the victory over Robert's army at Ashford.

That was also Robert's only defeat during the War of the Usurper. When the news of the defeat came out, it shocked the entire continent of Westeros and made Randyll Tarly famous.

Lando is a calm person. Although he also looks down on these barbarians, he will not take them lightly.

The Dothraki are a people on horseback, and to look down on them is to be irresponsible to yourself and your soldiers.

"Lord Mace," Randyll warned, "The Dothraki are skilled archers on horseback. We must proceed with caution!"

Mace sneered and said disdainfully, "Landau, you're too cautious. They're just a bunch of thieves who can only steal chickens and dogs!"

We have five thousand elite soldiers, how can we be afraid of them? Today we will let these barbarians know what it means to offend the Tyrell family! "

Lando knew that Mace was so angry that it was useless for him to say anything. He could only silently clench his battle axe and prepare to fight.

However, at this moment, the Dothraki suddenly turned their horses' heads and began to flee in a panic!
