Journey 1995:Non-Stop

Chapter 339 Heading to Chang'an

Chapter 339 Heading to Chang'an (Bonus Chapter 1010 for the Silver Alliance's Elbow)

The first order went very smoothly.

Such smooth sailing was also within Yan Hui's expectations.

There are currently no competitors in the market. Yan Hui must take advantage of the approximately one-year lead to distribute the product and complete the initial capital accumulation. Only in this way can he continue to invest in research and development and maintain the brand value.

From research and development to today, Yan Hui has been personally involved in every step. His workload is unimaginable to outsiders. In the past year, he has worked an average of more than 400 hours per month.

It's not that Yan Hui is working so hard or deserves so much respect—that's not the case at all. It's just that he's under immense pressure doing his job. If he were thinking about resting under these circumstances, he might as well be waiting to die.

Yan Hui wouldn't impose his own workload on others, as that would be unfair since the rewards wouldn't be equal. Others should just focus on doing their jobs well.

It is precisely because of this working style that Yan Hui's team has been able to get ahead of Dr. Luo, and is now almost a year ahead.

At noon, the car factory treated Yan Hui to a meal, and the dishes served were very plentiful.

"By the way, Mr. Yan, I heard from Manager Wang that the driver picked you up at the city government gate this morning? Could it be that Mr. Yan is quite familiar with the leaders of our city government?" Mr. Liu asked casually while eating his meal.

"No, it's just that it's more convenient to pick us up this way. Everyone knows this location," Yan Hui explained casually.

"I see," Mr. Liu nodded, thinking that Yan Hui was a person who spoke the truth.

"Well, today went fairly smoothly. Mr. Liu, you are one of our early partners, and we will guarantee to supply polyurethane according to the contract. Our contract will proactively stipulate our liability for breach of contract." Yan Hui took the initiative to change the subject.

“That’s also what I’m worried about. We need 5000 units this month, which means we plan to gradually replace the silicone sealant within a month. If there are any supply problems on your end, we will be under a lot of pressure.” General Manager Liu couldn’t help but look at Yan Hui with higher regard.

Yan Hui gives off an impression of being young, too young. He looks only in his twenties, but he appears very mature, as if he has been in business for more than ten years.

"Don't worry, I've been in the supply chain business for many years and have never had any problems. We will deliver the goods a week before you need them. If the truck has an accident, we will send a second truck. It won't affect your company's use," Yan Hui explained.

"That puts my mind at ease. Now, let's make the payment."

"Initially, we pay after the goods are delivered. After six months of cooperation, we need to collect half of the deposit before we ship the goods."

"Of course, of course." Mr. Liu had finally gotten the main questions clear.

Simply put, there is no risk in the early stages; the only issues are the stability of supply and the level of quality control.

Based on the samples we saw today, there should be no problem.

Chemical products are different from other fields; if it works, this batch will work too. As long as Yan Hui isn't just repackaging imported goods to fool people, it proves that Yan Hui's factory does indeed have the capability to produce qualified polyurethane.

However, this company had also used Sika and Henkel products, and there were subtle differences in color between them and Yan Hui's product. The technicians determined it wasn't a rebranding, but rather a genuine new product. This slight color difference wasn't a quality issue with Yan Hui, but simply a production choice. Yan Hui didn't drink much at lunch; he only had two glasses before leaving, citing busy business and other matters in the afternoon.

Mr. Liu was very kind; he specially arranged a car to take Yan Hui and the others to Shuangliu Airport.

This time, Yan Hui didn't sign a contract. Since it was their first collaboration, he took all the pressure upon himself. He had already dispatched a truck, loaded with 5000 tubes of polyurethane adhesive, to ship the goods from Shandong Province. Two people accompanied the truck: the company's newly hired legal representative and Liu Jianlei.

They came here to complete the handover and sign the contract. Because Yan Hui was very cooperative, General Manager Liu also said that as soon as the goods arrived and passed inspection, he would immediately transfer the payment.

The communication was simple and direct, and Yan Hui left by plane that very night.

Besides the car factory in Suining, Yan Hui had five other factories on his shortlist, all of which he planned to visit. Because of his successful start, Yan Hui was in a good mood after arriving at the airport and promised his two buddies a nice "treat" when they got to Chang'an that night.

The second potential customer is a car factory in Chang'an City (not Chang'an Automobile). This factory produces passenger cars and has a larger production capacity than the Suining Automobile Factory. However, since passenger cars use less adhesive, the required quantity should be about the same.

It was past 10 p.m. when they landed in Chang'an. Yan Hui took Song Zhiyuan and Yao Xin in a taxi and headed straight to a high-end restaurant in the city.

Unfortunately, the chefs had all gone home by this time, so I had no choice but to go to a barbecue stall for some.

Of course, barbecue is also a good thing. Few men of this age can resist barbecue, and everyone enjoyed it very much.

"It's still so much fun to come out with President Yan. In just two days, I've already been to three cities. I can't believe it!" Yao Xin still felt dazed.

“Yes, I’ve never been to any of these places before.” Song Zhiyuan took a big bite of meat, looking very satisfied.

“You won’t have many opportunities to shine if you come out with me, but you’ll have to rely on yourselves from now on. I’ll be in charge of developing the initial medium-sized car factories. Before the Chinese New Year this year, we need to find a way to secure a supply contract with a large car factory. After that, all the business will be yours. But if necessary, just give me a call anytime, and I’ll fly over to help you,” Yan Hui said.

“Okay, if the other boss wants to see you, I’ll call you.” Song Zhiyuan nodded.

"President Yan, I feel like I'm still intimidated when I meet the big boss," Yao Xin said somewhat uncertainly.

"It's alright, you'll get used to it after a while. Look at me this morning and at noon, I didn't budge an inch when negotiating the price. Our product is the best choice for them. As long as they have basic trust, they will definitely choose our product! You must have confidence in the product," Yan Hui encouraged.

As a salesperson, don't overthink it; just blindly trust your company's products. As for the actual product quality, that's the technical department's problem to solve.

"Mmm!" Yao Xin said, slightly excited. He wasn't actually prepared for this.

"Judging from the current situation in China, we cannot be replaced in the short term. Even if new competitors emerge, we will still be ahead." Song Zhiyuan was much more confident than Yao Xin in this regard.
