Chapter 342 Zhangchang

Chapter 342 Returning to the Factory
The constant clinking of glasses and the endless toasts can be quite tiring. These kinds of dinners are often the ones people go to less often, the more they want to go. For example, Yan Hui used to enjoy lots of delicious food there; now, he doesn't like going anymore, preferring to eat some barbecue outside the store.

Compared to other bosses, Yan Hui attends relatively few drinking parties, but he knows that starting this year, these parties will become more and more frequent. Even if he's not responsible for going out to do business, he'll still have endless dinner invitations. The good thing is that drinking isn't difficult; anyone can eat good food and drinks. It's just a matter of finding the right seat at the table and knowing your place.

Leaving aside what happened at the dinner table, after finishing this deal, Yan Hui headed to the next manufacturer.

This time, the plan was to communicate with four manufacturers. Yan Hui spent six days out and closed deals with three of them. The only one he couldn't reach an agreement with was a car company in Yuzhou. The biggest problem here was that Yan Hui hadn't contacted the right people. The people he contacted weren't high-ranking enough, and he couldn't find a way to communicate with higher-ups.

According to the person who found him, his direct supervisor is currently away on a business trip and will not be back for about a week.

The manufacturers here are a bit inflexible, so Yan Hui could only arrange a time for Yao Xin and the others to come next week. He needed to hurry back to Quancheng first. Since the last five samples hadn't been sent out yet, Yan Hui arranged a backup manufacturer for the two of them to handle the business themselves, while he went ahead alone.

In the past few days, the goods in Luoyang and Suining have been inspected and the payments have been received, but the company still doesn't have much money in its account, as all of it has been transferred to the raw material suppliers.

Yan Hui slept briefly on the plane, and as soon as he got off, he received several text messages. He immediately called back.

Yan Hui took a taxi all the way back to the company workshop, his phone ringing the entire time. Perhaps the topics he was discussing were things that ordinary people wouldn't normally encounter, because the driver frequently glanced at him in the rearview mirror, giving him a slightly scrutinizing look, which made Yan Hui feel a little pressured.

These days, taxi robberies are not uncommon. This is especially true in Jinan, and it happened during the day. If Yan Hui were traveling alone at night, he wouldn't dare to talk about these things.

After getting out of the car, Yan Hui finally breathed a sigh of relief. He still felt that he should bring a driver wherever he went in the future.
Back at the company, Yan Hui first went to find Chen Jian.

"President Yan, you're finally back! Things have been in complete chaos while you were gone," Chen Jian said, almost in tears. "I feel like I have to manage everything!"

"Haha, this is nothing!" Yan Hui went into the workshop and saw that only two reactors were working. He asked, "When can we get the production capacity up and running?"

"Do we have that many orders right now?" Chen Jian asked, somewhat surprised.

"Orders... We've talked to four glass factories so far, with a total demand of 12 pieces per month, which is going quite smoothly. My plan is to reach a production capacity of 7 to 10 pieces by December, and the orders will definitely keep up." Yan Hui was quite confident.

"That went really smoothly. The only problem with our factory right now is that we're short-handed. Seven or eight of the workers who came before left, most of them because I fired them. They were so stupid, it made me so angry! And there were three of them who insisted on smoking in the workshop, and they even told me that this stuff couldn't be lit and wasn't a dangerous item!" Chen Jian got angrier and angrier as he spoke.

He's really not good at management.

"Were the smokers fired?" Yan Hui asked.

"It's open! These same people even brought people to cause trouble the day before yesterday. Luckily, a few of our long-time workers were quite nice and stepped in to help, which resolved the matter." Chen Jian was furious just thinking about it.

"Who helped?" Yan Hui looked towards the workshop and said loudly, "A few days ago, some employees who smoked were a bit dissatisfied and came back to cause trouble. Who stood up to help them?"

"Huh? Mr. Yan," Chen Jian was startled. "It's all over now, it's alright, it's all gone." "That won't do," Yan Hui then shouted to the workers in the workshop, "Who's there? Come out, 100 yuan reward for each person."

Upon hearing Yan Hui's words, the group of men who had taken the lead immediately looked at each other, glanced at each other, and walked over.

“You guys,” Yan Hui recognized them at a glance.

Most of the work in the factory is actually not technically demanding, mainly involving tasks like moving things around, since these people don't need to operate the equipment for debugging.

Therefore, most of the workers did not need to be highly educated. Among the people who built houses for Yan Hui, four or five met the subsequent recruitment requirements and stayed here.

This time, it was these very people who stepped forward and helped Chen Jian.

"Here you go, five of you, 100 yuan each." Yan Hui took out 500 yuan from his bag and gave each of them 100 yuan. The five men were overjoyed.

They had been through the initial construction of the factory and had suffered alongside Yan Hui, so they knew what kind of person he was. They could see that Yan Hui had always treated them well.

"I have something else to tell you all!" Yan Hui shouted. "From now on, I will be working in the workshop. In about half a month, I will select six team leaders and two deputy workshop directors from among you! Team leaders will earn half as much as their team members! Deputy workshop directors will earn twice as much as their team members! Later, I will also find a way to promote workshop directors! Everyone, work hard!"

Yan Hui's words immediately boosted everyone's enthusiasm, and they started discussing who could be the group leader and who could be the deputy workshop director, making the workshop lively all of a sudden.

"There's another thing. Our rules and regulations are set in stone! Even I have to abide by them! Anyone who doesn't follow the rules and regulations and reaches a certain threshold will be fired immediately! Also, if outsiders cause trouble at the company in the future, don't rush to take action. However, anyone who contributes to the company will receive a bonus! Of course, if anyone is deliberately putting on a show for me, they'll also be fired!" Yan Hui's voice was loud, as if he was venting something.

After briefly explaining the new regulations, Yan Hui saw Zhou Ping a few meters away. He had rushed over as soon as he heard Yan Hui was back.

“You guys keep working here,” Yan Hui said to Chen Jian. “I’m going to go talk to Zhou Ping.”

"Hmm." Chen Jian nodded, then went to examine the reaction vessel.

As Yan Hui followed Zhou Ping out of the workshop, he asked about their recent situation: "While I was gone for the past few days, did you keep an eye on those people I asked you to keep an eye on? How are they doing? Have they gotten too cocky?"

"I don't think much has changed. They're still quite reliable at their work." Zhou Ping shrugged helplessly. "President Yan, please don't assign me these kinds of tasks in the future. I'm terrible at judging people! I'm already overwhelmed with work in finance!"

"You can hire two assistants, but let me make this clear beforehand: I'll find them myself, and they can't all be your relatives," Yan Hui said with a smile.
