Chapter 70 Short Holiday
The next morning, Alan showed up at Eric's side on time as usual and greeted him with a smile.

Eric handed the letter to her and said, "I hope Miss Alan can deliver this letter to Archmage Agnes as soon as possible."

"I will not let His Highness Eric down, but I have to wait until the high priest sets out to return to Lutia." Alan took the letter and slowly put it into his chest in front of him.

Eric ignored her blunt advances and asked, "Does the High Priest have any other plans?"

Seeing that he didn't respond, Alan poked him with a complaining look, but quickly replied, "No more. After leaving the Holy City, the High Priest will return directly to the Cathedral in Lutia."

In a week at most, the letter will be delivered to the moon elf, Eric thought.

When he was about to go to the seminary for class, he was surprised to find that Yalan was still following him. "Miss Yalan, is it necessary for you to continue following me now?"

"Hate it! What I said to His Highness yesterday wasn't all false," Alan said. "Before the High Priest leaves, I really have nothing else to do."

And another thing she said yesterday was that she preferred to be with him because he was good-looking.

The real plan is to continue observing his intentions, Eric thought.

The relationship between the two is now very delicate. Although they were still strangers yesterday and even secretly confronted each other, after being frank with each other on certain things, they felt that their relationship had suddenly become closer and they were almost like friends.

"Then please feel free to do as you please, Miss Yalan."

The two came to the seminary's school. Sophie, who had arrived earlier, greeted Eric with a smile, but her expression changed at the speed of light when Alan appeared behind him.

"Good morning, Miss Sophie." Alan took the initiative to greet her.

"Hmm... hello." Sophie hummed and then remembered that Eric was there too, and responded reluctantly.

The two of them still sat on either side of Eric and attended a day of classes just like yesterday.

When the afternoon class ended and they were about to leave, Sophie couldn't help but pull Eric aside and whispered, "Your Highness, is that Aram going to stay with us all the time?"

"It's only been a few days," Eric said. "Doesn't Sophie like her?"

"I just think her smile is fake," Sophie commented mercilessly, and then she saw Eric also laughing and muttering something.

"Your Highness?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it." Eric shook his head and said, "If Sophie doesn't like her, just ignore her."

"Uh-huh."

After separating from Sophie and saying a few perfunctory words to Alan who was waiting, Eric returned to the monastery alone and went to see the saint first.

"Have you figured out the purpose of that Aramean woman?" asked the saint.

Although he felt that the saint would not bother to care about the Arameans even if she knew the truth, Eric had promised Aramean that he would not tell this to any third person.

"Want to sleep with me." Eric said.

The old lady looked at him for a moment.

"Last night, someone saw Prince Eric go to the scripture hall to meet that Aram woman. So, did she sleep with you?"

Eric was not surprised that the Saint knew of his movements. He lowered his head and said, "I'm not so presumptuous as to do such a thing in the Sutra Hall."

"I'm glad you understand." Even though he had done many bold things, what the saint admired most was his sense of propriety in knowing what he could and could not do.

After asking a few more questions, the saint lost interest in the Aramean woman and waved her hand for Eric to leave.

Before leaving, Eric had something to mention. "Tomorrow is the seventh day. Shouldn't it be time for a day off?"

The saint glanced at him and responded.

"I want to go to the outer city," said Eric.

"Don't push your luck, Your Highness Eric."

"I just want to go out and get some fresh air. You can send a few knights to follow me."

The Saint looked at him for a while, then waved her hand, "Don't do anything that would be beneath your dignity."

Eric was delighted, "I promise I won't embarrass Her Highness the Saint."

"It's your own face, Your Highness Eric."

Back in the hut, Eric stretched his arms and stretched himself lazily.

"It's the weekend..."

He didn't know if he had begun to adapt to this kind of life. After enduring a week and having a day off, he actually felt very happy.

However, it is better to enjoy the pain happily than to endure the evil you have done with tears.

Eric thought about it and realized he didn't have anything in particular he wanted to do. He was only familiar with the Holy City through the game, and had no idea what it actually did. Right now, he just wanted to go out for a stroll. When Alena returned from the Saint's Abbey, Eric invited her to go out with him the next day.

Alena was stunned for a moment, then quickly agreed, "It's just that I don't have many opportunities to go out, and I'm not very familiar with the outer city."

"Don't the nuns have any holidays at all? Do they have to stay in the monastery and practice all year round?" Eric asked.

Alena shook her head. "Not really. The head nun has a few days off every month and can go out. It's just that I can't think of anything she could do outside."

Eric smiled and said, "I don't know, I just want to go out. You stay with me."

Alena also smiled, "Yes, Your Highness."

The next day, the saint received the news early in the morning that Eric had taken Alena out of the city.

The old man shook his head. "If this continues, the nuns in the entire monastery will become restless... Especially those young ladies from noble families, I'm afraid they will throw themselves into his arms."

"His Highness Eric is still young and will mature in a few years," said Sister Gabi. "As for the other nuns, they are governed by the monastery's rules."

The Saint gave a vague response, then looked at her after a while and asked, "How is Alena doing in the Saint's Academy?"

"I'm diligent, hardworking, and have my own ideas, but sometimes I can still feel a little restrained," Gabi replied.

"Hey." The Saint shook her head. "Look at what she's become over the years... But if she changes too quickly, I'll be worried."

Gabi said nothing, just listened.

"Eric liked her more, but in the first few years after my death, he couldn't leave you." The saint looked at her, "When he thinks you're old enough, you should return to the monastery in your hometown to retire as soon as possible."

Gabi looked up at the Saint, and realized that Her Highness was worried about her situation after her death, so she bowed deeply.

"I will remember your Highness's words."

"Well, I won't talk too much about what happens after death right now." The Saint Lady waved her hand and muttered again, "But if I died today, that kid would probably be scared half to death... Then he'd be busy from now on."

Eric, who was already wandering in the outer city, was unaware of the saint's sudden idea. He was immersed in the long-lost relaxation and comfort, enjoying his brief freedom.

The outer city of Lasir was gradually built by the believers who gathered here. Even the most devout believers could not do without food, clothing and daily necessities. Especially when most of the people who could settle here were wealthy nobles or rich people, commercial development also became extremely prosperous.

Wandering around, one feels dazzled and overwhelmed.

Eric would probably be more relaxed if it was only Alena who went out of town with him.

"Miss Yalan, you're out of town now. Why don't you report your whereabouts over the past two days to High Priest Xinmagu?"

Alan smiled at the quasi-saint and the mature nun who were looking at him, "The high priest doesn't care about me that much. As long as I can be by his side when he leaves Lesier, that's enough."

But he cares a lot.

Eric sighed silently, although he no longer had anything to be on guard against her.

"Did I disturb His Highness Eric?"

"It would be great if Miss Yalan's understanding could have taken effect earlier."

"You are so frank that I feel ashamed."

"We country nobles are just like that, speaking directly."

Even so, Alan followed them around the outer city for a day, and only said goodbye to Eric and Alena in the evening when Eric was about to return to the inner city.

A formal farewell.

"This should be the last time I see Your Highness." Alan looked at them, his eyes mainly focused on Eric's face. "I will properly carry out Your Highness's instructions, and I hope Your Highness will not forget my words."

"of course."

She raised her hand to the place on her chest where the letter was stuffed, and deliberately cast a coquettish glance, "I can still feel the warmth of your highness's palm here."

"..."

Eric was too lazy to respond, but when he saw Alena staring at him from the corner of his eye, he could only say, "Miss Alan, please find a safe place to keep my letter."

Alan smiled one last time, bowed to the two of them and said goodbye, then turned and merged into the crowd, quickly disappearing.

"See you again someday, Your Highness Eric, Ms. Alena."

Better not to meet him, Eric thought, turning to look at the brilliant sunset and letting out a breath.

His vacation is over.

"Let's go back."
