Chapter 96 Wild Night
Chapter 96 Wild Night
After the third glass of fruit wine, Eric felt a little dizzy.
Before he could refuse, Kasha poured him a new glass, and she herself did not look drunk at all except for a slight blush on her face - this blush might have been the reflection of the fire next to her.
The ranger's enthusiasm was so great that Eric was a little overwhelmed.
According to her, except when she went to the city to sell things, she rarely saw other humans - there were not many humanoids. The nearest gathering place of wood elves was at least two days' journey away, so most of the time, she was alone.
Although she was already used to being one with nature, it was hard for her not to chat with humans when she met them, especially a good-looking man like Eric.
"In that case, why not live somewhere with more people?"
Eric bit into the venison in his hand. The ranger generously offered him many delicacies, and this was one of them. "For example, the nearby villages would be quite convenient for taking care of the woodlands here."
“It’s not that convenient.”
Kasha shook her head. "Mr. Eric, you have to know that there are many things in this forest that you can't see. It is also growing. You have to stay here to truly become familiar with it and understand it."
In the eyes of believers of the nature sect, the forest itself is a huge life.
"I don't see nearly as much as Miss Kasha can see," Eric said.
The ranger smiled, raised his hand to push his long hair behind his ear, and then held out the wine glass in his hand.
"..."
Eric clinked glasses with her and took a sip.
I guess she usually drinks by herself when she lives alone. This girl can really drink...
He glanced at the wooden barrel beside her, which was filled with her homemade fruit wine. According to her, she had a whole cellar full of such barrels.
The enthusiasm was irresistible, but how could he just drink without doing anything? Eric started looking for topics to talk about.
"Selling wine? ...I haven't tried it yet. I brew this for myself and drink it myself, I don't think of selling it. But I guess the taste isn't that great either."
"Of course, the fruit wine brewed by Miss Kasha tastes better than what I drank in the tavern." Eric didn't deliberately brag, the fruit wine really tasted good.
"But the wine in the taverns nearby is mostly served by wood elves." Kasha thought for a moment, "No matter how good my cooking skills are, I can't compare to them."
"How do you know if you don't try it? After all, it tastes really good to me," said Eric.
"is it?"
The ranger smiled and raised his glass again. "Then Mr. Eric, please drink more."
"..."
Let’s change the subject!
They ate and drank, and chatted from time to time. Eric's stomach, which had been hungry for a day, was gradually filled with wine and meat.
The accumulated alcohol also began to take effect, and Eric felt his head was a little dizzy.
Seeing this, Kasha stopped him from drinking and asked him if he wanted to go for a walk in the woods to wake himself up.
"…Walk around?"
Eric glanced at the sky. He didn't know where the moon had moved to. It wasn't even past midnight yet, but it was close.
The female monster finally revealed her true identity and wanted to drag him into the woods and eat him alive... Eric felt that he had really drunk a little too much.
After a while of random thoughts, he remembered that he hadn't responded yet. He wanted to decline, but he said, "Okay."
It turned out that when the female druid said about taking a walk in the woods, she meant that she would transform and carry him for a stroll, so Eric had no reason to refuse.
Kasha turned into a reindeer that was easy to ride again, and Eric sat on her and held the big horns on her head.
Without any warning, the reindeer beneath him kicked its hind legs and suddenly jumped out.
Eric sobered up instantly, bent down, and clutched the antlers tightly, "Miss Kasha?"
There was no response. Instead, the reindeer ran faster and faster, and even began to jump forward, with each jump being several meters.
Ups and downs, Eric felt like he was no longer riding a reindeer, but a mad bull.
It’s over, this druid is drunk too!
Eric trembled as he hugged the reindeer under him with one hand, and with the other hand he took out the Holy Spirit Pendant from his collar, held it in his hand and chanted a magic spell to calm his mind.
A white light lit up, and the reindeer beneath him suddenly stopped, then turned into a human form without any warning.
With a thud, Eric's body fell down and directly pressed on her. They both groaned at the same time.
Fortunately, the ground was relatively soft.
"Mr. Eric, I seemed to feel the fluctuation of divine magic just now?" "Yes... I cast it." Eric got up from her.
"Are you a clergyman?"
"You say I'm the leader of the clergy... Yes, I'm a clergyman, from Lesire. Didn't I just say that?"
"No." Kasha shook her head. "Sorry, I'm just a little scared. Let's continue."
After that, she transformed into a reindeer again.
Eric didn't know whether she was drunk or not, so he could only ride on her again, galloping and jumping with her, and finally came to a cliff.
The moon had not yet set, hanging on the other side of the sky.
The moonlight shone on his face, and the cool midnight breeze blew up from the bottom of the cliff. No matter how drunk Eric was, he sobered up at this moment.
He leaned close to the reindeer's ear and said, "Ms. Kasha...you can't go any further."
The reindeer took a few steps back, jumped on the spot, and shook its butt. Eric finally understood that it wanted him to get down.
He climbed down, and the reindeer regained its human form and suddenly fell to the ground.
"Ms. Kasha?!" Eric hurried to help her.
"It's okay..." Kasha took a few deep breaths. "It's just that I haven't carried someone for such a long distance in a long time. I'm a little tired."
Eric was speechless for a moment, "I thought Miss Kasha was drunk too."
The female druid smiled and said, "When I transform into an animal, I don't seem to be as lucid as when I'm in human form."
This cliff is only about a few dozen meters high, but it stands out in this woodland. The two sat on the top of the cliff and looked down.
The faint glow of fire in the distance is Kasha's hut.
Eric stood on a high place and looked around, but the visibility at night was not that good, and he didn't see any roads.
"You can see very far from here. I often come here alone." Kasha opened her arms to the breeze blowing from the bottom of the cliff, her eyes glowing with a fluorescent green light, as if it was some kind of magic of the natural cult that enhanced her vision.
“It feels very quiet here,” Eric said.
"Yes." The ranger smiled at him. "You can hear sounds from farther away and smell the scent of another forest."
Eric's senses were not so sharp. Looking at what he could see, he suddenly thought of something.
"Can Miss Kasha smell the horse?"
He drifted all the way and only remembered that he seemed to see the horse go into the water and follow him before he fainted, but when he woke up, it was gone and he didn't know where it ran to.
Kasha looked at him, "Is it Mr. Eric's horse?"
"Yes."
"I'll try...if it's nearby." She closed her eyes and blended into the night wind again. A layer of misty, faint green light surrounded her body and enveloped her.
After a while, she suddenly said, "Mr. Eric."
"Ok?"
Kasha closed her eyes and reached out to him, "I need your smell."
Eric thought about it and extended his hand.
The female druid grabbed his hand, pulled it in front of her and sniffed it, then turned around and sniffed along his arm, from his arm to his chest, and then to his neck.
"Miss Kasha, isn't that enough..."
She almost fell on him, and Eric could only raise his head and look at the moon in the sky.
Both shoulders suddenly felt heavy, and the feeling was different from that of human hands. Eric's heart skipped a beat and his eyes dropped. A big pink tongue licked his face from bottom to top.
"..."
The female druid turns into a black panther again.
She must be drunk, Eric thought.
The burden on his shoulders became heavier and heavier, and Black Panther's entire body pressed down on him. Eric soon couldn't hold on and fell backwards.
The pain of falling to the ground made him take a breath, but the black panther lying on his body was motionless, leaving only the sound of even breathing.
"...Ms. Kasha?"
The night is silent and floating clouds cover the moon.
