Being a knight is not easy

Chapter 78 Discovery

Chapter 78 Discovery
Robin stood in front of the forge in the blacksmith shop, hammering the red-hot iron rhythmically with the hammer in his hand, sparks flying everywhere.

He was originally in a relatively calm mood. After all, the two months of training and forging had made him feel fulfilled and satisfied.

As he was about to finish the last knight's dagger of the day, a loud commotion suddenly came from outside the blacksmith shop.

"Have you heard? Two months ago, the Viscount Blot was destroyed! The culprit who slaughtered the entire family has been found."

"Is it true? Who did it?"

"It's said that the Black Bear Bandits did it, but there's a traitor behind the scenes! I heard there were two key figures, one named Robin Gabriel and the other named Marich Hale. They worked together to break into Winston City!"

Robin's hand trembled violently, and the hammer almost missed the target. His heartbeat suddenly accelerated, and his mind went blank.

"Robin Gabriel? That's not..." Monroe's voice came from the side, with a hint of disbelief.

Robin looked up and found that everyone in the blacksmith shop had stopped what they were doing and was looking at him.

Damus walked over with a frown on his face, holding a notice that had just been sent from outside.

"Robin, what's going on?" Damus handed him the notice with a hint of seriousness in his tone.

Robin took the notice and quickly scanned its contents. It detailed the massacre of Viscount Blot's family and listed him and Maliqi Hale as wanted criminals, accusing them of "colluding with the Black Bear Bandits, betraying Viscount Blot, and attacking Winston City."

Robin was speechless for a moment.

In the eyes of the nobles, he was almost a traitor.

But if he doesn't betray Lord Blot, he must die.

Damus stared into Robin's eyes, as if trying to determine if he was lying. After a moment, he sighed, "Robin, I believe you're not that kind of person. But now the entire kingdom is looking for you. You must find a way to prove your innocence as soon as possible."

Monroe also came over and patted Robin on the shoulder: "Robin, I believe you. But the situation is very unfavorable for you now. You have to leave here quickly."

Robin nodded, feeling a mixture of anxiety and anger.

He knew that he had been framed. Who on earth wanted to frame a mediocre little knight like him?

"Damus, Monroe, thank you for your trust." Robin whispered, "I will find a way to prove my innocence."

Damus nodded and took out a bag of gold coins from his pocket and handed it to Robin: "Here, you'll need them on the road. Remember, don't trust anyone easily."

Robin took the gold coin and nodded gratefully: "Thank you, boss."

At this moment, hurried footsteps were heard outside the blacksmith shop, accompanied by the soldiers' shouts: "Search for the wanted criminal Robin Gabriel! No one is allowed to leave!"

Robin's expression changed. He quickly put away the gold coins, picked up the quiver next to him, and said to Damus and Monroe, "I have to go. Take care!"

Damus nodded and pointed to the back door of the blacksmith shop. "Go through that way. Be careful."

Robin didn't hesitate and quickly left through the back door.

As Robin stepped out of the back door, he caught a glimpse of a huge net hood in the sky from the corner of his eye.

Fortunately, the system sent a timely reminder before he went out. He reacted quickly and rolled on the spot, narrowly avoiding the sudden big net.

"He is indeed a traitor. Don't let Robin Gabriel get away." Accompanied by a burst of noisy shouts, a group of people rushed out from all directions.

They held weapons in their hands and stared at Robin fiercely, as if he were their sworn enemy.

Robin was shocked. He never expected that he would be labeled a "traitor" and encounter such a situation.

He stood up quickly and looked around warily, trying to figure out what was going on. He saw that these people were wearing uniform clothes and looked like members of an organization, but he couldn't remember when he had offended such a group of people.

"What are you talking about? How am I a traitor?" Robin asked loudly, with a hint of anger and confusion in his voice.

He hoped to get the reason out of these people, but all he got in response was more intense shouting and increasingly rapid footsteps.

"Stop talking nonsense and follow us, then you'll know!" A sturdy man in the lead said viciously, waving the long knife in his hand.

His eyes were full of hostility, and he obviously regarded Robin as a traitor who had committed a heinous crime.

Robin's heart sank, knowing it was pointless to say more now. These people had clearly come prepared and wouldn't listen to his explanation.

He must find a way to escape as soon as possible, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous if he is caught.

His eyes quickly scanned the surroundings, his mind racing with thoughts of how to escape.

The space on the street behind the blacksmith shop is not big, and there are enemies all around, so it is not easy to break out.

But he couldn't just sit there and wait for death, he had to find an opportunity to rush out.

Robin took out the two money bags from his arms and threw them into the sky. Hundreds of gold coins fell to the ground, causing a scramble among the onlookers.

Robin seized the opportunity, knocked down the two knights with two moves with his bare hands, and quickly rushed towards the Red Fruit Street District.

"Don't let him run away!" the strong man shouted and chased after him, waving a long knife.

Robin was extremely fast and rushed to the Hongguo Street District in a few steps. The street was crowded with people, and Robin quickly blended into the crowd, trying to escape with the cover of the crowd.

However, the enemy was clearly not going to let him off easily. The strong man and a group of people were chasing him relentlessly, and the pedestrians on the street were frightened and gave way.

"Damn, these people are really haunting!" Robin cursed softly, but continued running forward.

He couldn't keep running like this, he had to find a place to hide. Just then, he saw a narrow alley in front of him and immediately turned into it.

The alley was cluttered with debris and dimly lit, making it a perfect place to hide.

Robin quickly hid behind an abandoned wooden box, held his breath, and waited quietly.

A few seconds later, the strong man and his men rushed into the alley. They looked around but obviously found no trace of Robin.

"Where are the people? Why are they gone?" the strong man roared angrily.

"Boss, he may have run far away, let's continue chasing him!" a younger brother suggested.

The strong man nodded and continued to chase forward with his men.

Robin breathed a sigh of relief, but he knew he couldn't stay here for long.

Robin hid behind the wooden box, listening to the footsteps of the strong man and his men gradually moving away, and felt a little relieved.

He carefully stuck his head out, confirmed that there was no one in the alley, and quickly crawled out from behind the wooden box.

The end of the alley led to another street. Robin decided not to take the main road, but to continue walking through the alley to avoid being discovered as much as possible.

He tiptoed through the alley, glancing back every now and then to make sure no one was following him.
