Chapter 8 Monster (Both chapters are released at the same time, please read them)

"This is a proper knight's battle!" Robin murmured involuntarily, his voice full of awe and yearning.

At this moment, he seemed to be in a whole new world, witnessing another level of power with his own eyes.

He thought of his past battles, those fights with bandits and militiamen, which seemed like children's play in front of these two knights.

His heartbeat accelerated rapidly. He was shocked by this powerful force and felt a strong desire at the same time.

He longed to have such powerful strength one day.

"You all stay here." Maliqi looked stern as he glanced at the knight apprentices under his command. After saying this in a decisive tone, he suddenly exerted force with his legs, jumped up, and rushed towards the battlefield like a cheetah.

The boar rider Benrot was in the middle of a fierce battle with Fitz. He caught a glimpse of Malizzi joining the battlefield from the corner of his eye. His face turned pale instantly, and a hint of panic flashed in his originally fierce eyes.

He knew in his heart that Fitz's strength was already too much for him to handle, and now with Malizzi's presence, the situation was undoubtedly getting worse for him.

As Maliqi stepped onto the battlefield, the aura around him suddenly changed, and a strong sense of oppression spread around like a tide.

The long sword in his hand flashed with cold light, and the blade cut through the air, making a sharp whistling sound.

He and Fitz looked at each other. Without much words, the tacit understanding of fighting side by side for many years made them reach a consensus in an instant, and began to besiege Benroth from different directions.

Fitz shouted loudly, raised his two-handed sword high, and slashed towards Benroth with a tremendous force, as if the sword could split the earth in half.

Benrot quickly raised his axe to block, his arm trembling slightly due to the huge impact.

At this moment, Malizzi appeared beside Benrot like a ghost, and his long sword pierced Benrot's chest like a poisonous snake.

Benrot was unable to dodge and could only turn sideways to barely avoid the vital parts, but the sword still cut his arm, and blood instantly dyed his sleeves red.

Benrot gritted his teeth, his eyes gleaming with ferocity as he tried to find a chance to break through. However, the two knights coordinated perfectly, leaving him no chance to breathe.

Malizzi's sword moves are sharp and varied, and each strike carries a deadly threat;
Fitz relied on his powerful strength to continuously suppress Benrot's counterattacks.

During the fierce confrontation, Benroth gradually became exhausted and his movements became slow.

Fitz seized the opportunity, took a step forward, and swept his sword across. Benroth was unable to dodge and was hit in the leg, kneeling on one knee.

Seeing this, Malizzi swung his sword at Benrot's throat without hesitation. With a scream, Benrot slowly fell down, and blood spread under him.

Knight Malizzi and Knight Fitz stood side by side, with the gradually cooling corpse of Boar Knight Benrot at their feet, and a strong smell of blood filled the air around them.

The two looked at each other, and at the same time, their expressions were solemn, their eyes full of vigilance and uneasiness.

"There is a problem here. Let's meet up with the lord as soon as possible." Knight Malizzi broke the brief silence. His voice was low and urgent, revealing unquestionable majesty.

Although he won the battle, various signs during the process made him suspicious, and he always felt that there was an undercurrent surging in the dark.

This is just an outpost on the periphery. There is no reason to leave the Boar Rider here to guard it.

Knight Fitz nodded slightly without saying anything. He raised his arm and waved it vigorously, signaling his troops to continue moving forward.

The team moved swiftly, the clatter of footsteps and the clash of weapons interweaving as they advanced towards the unknown ahead. Knight Malizzi turned and walked towards his own team. His gaze swept over the faces of the knight apprentices, including Robin, Eric, Lily, and Thompson, before he spoke calmly, "We'll be the last to march and provide vigilance."

Robin and the others immediately straightened up, with a determined glint in their eyes.

Knight Malizzi walked at the front of the team, his steps steady and powerful, always paying attention to the movements around him.

Robin followed closely behind, holding the long sword he had just seized tightly in his hand, and observing his surroundings vigilantly.

The team moved forward cautiously. There was silence all around, only the heavy footsteps echoing in the empty canyon.

As they walked, suddenly, a strange thick fog slowly spread out from the front, like a huge white python, winding towards them.

The fog spread quickly, covering everything around, blurring the vision and completely obscuring the road ahead.

Knight Malizzi immediately raised his hand to signal the team to stop. His brows were furrowed and his eyes revealed deep worry.

The sudden thick fog gave him an ominous feeling.

He turned to look at the knight apprentices behind him and whispered, "Everyone be careful, stay alert, and don't separate easily."

Everyone nodded and tightened their grip on their weapons. A tense atmosphere spread throughout the team, and everyone could hear their own violent heartbeats.

The next second, a militiaman screamed in surprise. The sound was sharp and short, as if something was strangling his throat. Then it stopped abruptly and fell into deathly silence.

"Knight Commander, Sam is dead." Another militiaman shouted in horror, his voice full of fear and trembling, which seemed particularly terrifying in this foggy atmosphere.

Knight Malizzi reacted extremely quickly and immediately shouted, "Form a formation!" His voice was firm and powerful, echoing in the fog like a huge bell.

Upon hearing this, the militiamen quickly moved towards each other, their steps hurried but with a well-trained tacit understanding.

At the end of the team were Robin and several knight apprentices. Although they also had nervousness on their faces, their eyes revealed determination.

Robin gripped the sword tightly in his hand, his palms were full of sweat, but his eyes were scanning the surroundings firmly.

At the front, Knight Malizzi stood there like a towering mountain, his eyes sharp, always alert to any slight movement around him.

Suddenly, Robin keenly heard a rustling sound. The sound was subtle but a little strange, as if something was approaching them quickly through the thick fog.

Almost instinctively, he raised his sword and swung it hard to the right front.

"Clang!" A crisp sound of metal collision was heard, Robin's arm was numb and there was a sharp pain in the palm of his hand.

He looked closely and saw a pair of dark green eyes staring at him in the darkness. They were definitely not human eyes.

In the dim light, you can see its long neck raised high, like a venomous snake ready to pounce.

The figure was twisted and strange, emitting a cold aura that made Robin shudder.

When the other knight apprentices followed Robin's gaze, the monster disappeared in an instant like a ghost, leaving only a dead silence and darkness.
