Chapter 93: Forbidden Land Hunt
Chapter 93: Forbidden Land Hunt
"Old Cat... maybe he can help me." Robin's heart moved, and he remembered the amulet and explosive crystal that Old Cat had given him before.
Although the old cat's purpose is unclear, at least for now, he has no intention of harming himself.
Robin took out the amulet from his arms and felt the faint fluctuation of magic within it.
This amulet can not only hide his magic fluctuations, but also contact the old cat at the critical moment.
"Let's try it." Robin whispered, then injected magic into the amulet.
The amulet flickered slightly, and then the old cat's deep voice came: "Robin? You're still alive?"
Robin breathed a sigh of relief and whispered, "Yes, I escaped. Kajani and the Wizard Council were fighting, and I took the opportunity to escape."
The old cat was silent for a moment, then said, "You did well. Now, you need to leave Tutankhamun City as soon as possible and head to the 'Ash Wasteland' in the north. It's a place that neither the Wizard Council nor the Dark Wizards can reach, and you can be safe there for the time being."
Robin frowned. "Ashes Wasteland? Isn't that the legendary forbidden land?"
The old cat smiled and said, "It's because it's a forbidden area that it's suitable for you to hide. Moreover, there are some ancient ruins there that may help you improve your strength."
Robin nodded, and had a general understanding of the old cat's plan.
He now had no choice but to follow the old cat's instructions.
"Okay, I'll head to the Ash Wasteland as soon as possible," Robin whispered.
The old cat's voice came again: "Remember, be careful on the road. The Wizard Council and the Dark Wizards may set up ambushes along the way. I will wait for you in the Ash Wasteland."
The light of the amulet gradually faded, Robin put it away, took a deep breath, and stood up.
Robin quickly packed his equipment and headed north.
To avoid being tracked, he chose a remote path that passed through dense forests and barren mountains.
Along the way, he remained vigilant at all times, using the "Snake Breathing Method" to enhance his sensitivity and perception to avoid contact with any possible enemies.
A few days later, Robin finally reached the edge of the Ash Wasteland.
The scene before him made him gasp—there was no grass growing on the wasteland, the ground was covered with charred cracks, and the air was filled with a burning smell, as if the land had been burned by fire.
"This is the Ash Wasteland..." Robin whispered to himself, with a flash of shock in his eyes.
The reason why this wasteland is called a forbidden land is because a shocking wizard war once took place here.
That war not only destroyed the land, but also left behind countless dangerous magical traps and ruins.
Robin took a deep breath and stepped into the Ash Wasteland.
Although this place is dangerous, it is the only place where he can be temporarily safe.
Not long after he went deep into the wilderness, a low roar suddenly came from the distance.
Robin quickly hid behind a huge rock and looked towards the source of the sound vigilantly.
In the distant sky, a black energy wave and a blazing flame collided violently in the air, bursting into a dazzling light.
"Kagani and the people from the Wizard Council... they actually chased us here!" Robin was shocked, and a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
He must find the old cat as soon as possible, otherwise he will not be able to survive in this wilderness.
He ran quickly into the depths of the wasteland, trying to avoid the battle behind him.
Just as he was about to enter an ancient ruin, a cold voice came from behind him.
"Robin Gabriel, do you think you can escape?" Robin turned around suddenly and found Kajiani standing not far away, with a strange light in his eyes.
His black robe fluttered in the wind of the wasteland, and the staff in his hand exuded a strong dark magic.
"Kajiani..." Robin whispered the name, his heart full of vigilance.
Kajiani sneered, "I didn't expect you to escape here. However, the Ash Wasteland will be your burial place!"
Robin gripped the sword tightly in his hand, and the life force and magic power in his body surged at the same time.
"Kagani, your death is coming!" Robin said coldly, then swung his sword towards Kagani.
Robin's blade flashed with golden light and went straight for Kajiani's throat.
Kajiani simply waved his hand lightly, and a dark barrier appeared in front of him.
The sword blade hit the barrier with a harsh friction sound, but it could not break through.
"With the power of an ant, you dare to fight against me?" Kajiani sneered, then waved his staff, and a dark energy wave rushed towards Robin.
Robin rolled over quickly to avoid the energy wave, but the speed of the energy wave was too fast. He could only barely avoid the vital parts. His left shoulder was hit by the energy wave, and he felt a sharp pain.
"Damn it..." Robin growled through gritted teeth, feeling the severe pain from the wound. His shoulder had been injured twice, and this time he might really be crippled.
He could no longer compete with Kajani, and continuing to fight would only lead to his death.
Kajiani obviously didn't intend to give Robin any chance to breathe.
He waved his staff, and the dark magic around him quickly condensed, turning into countless black blades, suspended in the air, pointing directly at Robin.
"It's over, Robin Gabriel." Kajiani said coldly, then waved his staff, and the black blade shot out instantly, heading straight for Robin.
Robin gritted his teeth and swung his sword with all his might to block, but there were too many black blades. He could only barely break a few of them with his sword, and the rest of the blades went straight to his vital points.
At this critical moment, a black shadow suddenly rushed out from the side and blocked Robin.
The black blade hit the black shadow, but made a dull sound, as if it had hit some indestructible barrier.
"Old Cat?!" Robin looked at the figure blocking his way in surprise. It was none other than Old Cat.
The old cat didn't look back, but whispered: "Stand back, leave this to me."
Seeing this, Kajiani's eyes flashed with surprise: "Who are you? How dare you interfere in my affairs!"
The old cat sneered, with a hint of disdain in his tone: "Kajiani, do you think that you can do whatever you want just because you have broken through to the first ring of wizard? Today is the day you die."
Kajiani roared, swung his staff, and released a powerful dark magic that rushed straight towards the old cat.
The old cat quickly swung the dagger in his hand, and a silver light cut through the darkness, easily dissolving Kajiani's attack.
Robin stepped aside, his heart filled with shock.
He didn't expect that the old cat was so powerful that he could easily dissolve Kajiani's attack.
Kajiani obviously hadn't expected the old cat to be so powerful. A flash of panic flashed in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by anger: "Who are you, a fallen angel? Or the Wizard Council?"
He waved his staff, and the dark magic in his body surged wildly, and the air around him seemed to be dyed black.
