Chapter 7 Golden Light Mantra
Chapter 7 Golden Light Mantra
The Taoist book left by Jin Guangding is titled "The Divine Mantra of the Eight Yang of Heaven and Earth".
The pages of the book are yellowed and very old. The text is written in different styles and is densely annotated. It seems that at least a dozen people have left their marks on it.
Zhenren Mingyi had seen Jin Guangding's master, Master Jin Guang, take action. Although he had never seen this scripture, he was clear about their family's ways.
Yang Qisheng had read the scriptures and had an impression of them in his mind, so Mingyi Zhenren could explain them to him on the spot.
The "Eight Yang Divine Mantras of Heaven and Earth" records eight kinds of divine mantras, all of which originated from the orthodox Xuanmen, and were later collected and sorted out by people from the unorthodox sects, and derived and improved to form many schools.
The lineage of Master Jin Guang only has the "Golden Light Divine Mantra".
While Yang Qisheng was flipping through the scriptures, he asked questions in his mind one after another, and Master Mingyi answered every question.
When he finished reading the entire book, he not only understood the entire content of the scripture, but also had a detailed understanding of the practice of immortality.
The key to the Taoist alchemy method is to cultivate the inner alchemy.
In order to refine a golden elixir in the body that can enlighten the soul, cleanse the body, turn decay into magic, change fate, and rejuvenate, one needs to go through four stages: refining Qi to build the foundation, setting up the furnace to refine the evil, setting up the tripod to refine the罡, and combining medicines to refine the elixir.
The vast majority of practitioners follow this path, but their methods vary, and the properties and quality of the elixirs they refine are also different.
In "The Divine Mantra of Eight Yangs of Heaven and Earth", the method of practicing Qi and building the foundation is: focus the mind on the upper Dantian, mobilize the Qi, blood and vital energy to gather, and visualize the primordial spirit in the Niwan Palace emitting light and turning into a "little golden man".
At midnight every day, let the primordial spirit descend along the Ren meridian in front of the chest into the lower dantian. The lower dantian stores essence, and let the primordial spirit be immersed in the essence to bathe and cleanse. At noon, let the primordial spirit return to the Niwan Palace along the Du meridian at the back.
Repeat this process over time, and over time, the spirit and qi will combine, and supernatural powers will naturally arise.
Jin Guangding himself is a cultivator in the realm of refining evil spirits.
To refine the evil, you must first set up the furnace, that is, build the furnace in the lower dantian.
This furnace is placed behind the navel and in front of the kidneys. It absorbs sunlight every day and fuses it with its own essence to condense it into a "golden light furnace". After it becomes stable, it continues to absorb sunlight and refine it into golden light elixir in the furnace.
The evil spirit is refined, which is different from the previous foundation-building period where only true energy can be used. When the evil spirit is used to cast the same spell, the power will be doubled. If a strand is separated and attached to an object, a kitchen knife that has been rusted for many years can instantly be transformed into a magical weapon that can cut through iron like mud!
Yang Qisheng exclaimed at the miracle, but Mingyi Zhenren scoffed at this method of cultivation. He would explain any questions Yang Qisheng had, and would be very patient no matter how reluctant he was. However, he would point out the drawbacks after each sentence:
"Beginners' minds are not stable, their vital energy is insufficient, and focusing on the upper Dantian can easily lead to hallucinations...
If you guide the vital energy to flow into your head in large quantities and cannot refine it with the civil and martial fires, it is very easy to "burn the ladder to heaven" and become possessed by the devil...
A beginner's primordial spirit is not yet solid, and going up and down every day is exhausting and tiring. This will plant hidden dangers in the future of forming a golden elixir, and it is basically impossible to cultivate a sixth-grade golden elixir or above..."
"Alright, alright. This 'Eight Yang Divine Mantras of Heaven and Earth' is an unorthodox teaching. I will only read it, but I won't practice it." Yang Qisheng smiled and put the book away. "Master, please teach me our sect's 'Five Lingbao Talismans'."
The method of Taiyi Palace's "Lingbao Wufujing" is indeed different from the previous one. It starts with supplementing and exercising the vital energy of the five internal organs of the human body, and cultivates it day by day, making it thicker and thicker, and finally guiding the qi back to the origin and toward the heart, which is the Five Qi Returning to the Origin.
"As for our sect's magic, you only need to follow the steps and practice sincerely. Not only will you not have any risk of going astray, but your speed will also be no slower than others. It can be said to be both stable and fast, and its power and magical powers are thousands of times greater than theirs!"
To practice Qi and build the foundation, you must first practice Qi and then build the foundation.
Qi training is divided into two stages. First, cultivate one's own essence and qi to achieve "perfect spirit and sufficient qi", and then use the strong true qi to open up the meridians of the body one by one to achieve "all meridians are connected".
Yang Qisheng had been practicing the Guixu method since childhood, and had already cultivated a body of pure and powerful Qi, even more powerful than many immortal cultivators who possessed "perfect spirit and abundant Qi"! At the same time, all of his meridians, including the twelve main meridians and the eight extraordinary meridians, had already been fully connected!
It turns out that all rivers, big or small, will eventually flow into the sea, and all the sea water in the world will eventually return to the abyss.
Guixu is the deepest crack in the seabed. Anything that enters it will completely disappear, turn into nothingness, and return to the original Dao.
When the Great Dao creates all things, it comes into being from nothing. The Dao creates one, one creates two, two creates three, and three creates all things.
When all things return to the Tao, they return from existence to non-existence, all things return to three, three return to two, two return to one, and one return to the Tao.
Guixu is the "one" closest to the Tao body.
Guixu Dafa regards one's own Dantian as Guixu, and can absorb acquired true qi of any attributes into it, transform it into innate true qi, and then spit it back out for one's own use.
It's just that Wanhai enters Guixu voluntarily, not because of Guixu's coercion. Therefore, this technique cannot forcibly absorb the true energy of others, but can only refine and absorb the internal force of the opponent.
No matter whether it is hot, cold, sharp or dull, any attribute of true qi absorbed by him can be transformed into innate true qi.
If one continues to harmonize the five internal organs and activate the river cart, one can embark on the path to immortality. However, the ancestors of the Yang family did not dare to let their disciples practice immortality, so when they created this technique, they did not include the part about practicing immortality.
Yang Qisheng started practicing this internal skill since he was in his mother's womb. Over the years, he fought with others in life-and-death duels and absorbed the true qi of many masters. He transformed all of it into the purest innate true qi and stored it in his dantian.
Now, he has obtained the "Lingbao Five Talismans Sutra", which is just right for him to continue with the part about cultivating immortals!
It was like a floodgate had been opened, and the massive amount of true energy accumulated over the years poured out.
He mobilized these innate true qi, divided it into five parts, and injected it into the five internal organs of the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys. According to the mental method taught by Mingyi Zhenren, he transformed it into the five elements of true qi: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth.
Then, he mobilized the five qi to the heart palace and nourished the primordial spirit.
After only one day and night, he reached the first level of the Qi Refining Period: perfect spirit and full of energy!
The second level of the Qi Refining Stage is "All Meridians Gathering Together".
The meridians in Yang Qisheng's body were originally unobstructed, because both martial arts and cultivation required opening up the meridians throughout the body and circulating them in the body.
There is only a difference in quality: in martial arts practice, the mind or qi circulates through the meridians, and usually it is the acquired true qi that circulates; in cultivating immortality, the qi and spirit circulate through the meridians, and it is the innate true qi that circulates.
There are also some differences in the running routes of the two.
For example, when practicing the Ren and Du meridians, or cultivating internal strength through martial arts, the true qi rises along the Du meridian, flips over from the Baihui point on the top of the head, connects to the Ren meridian downward, then goes back to the perineum and reconnects with the Du meridian, forming a circle.
The innate true qi cultivated through cultivation also rises along the Du channel at the beginning, but when it reaches the back of the brain, it no longer rushes upwards, but instead penetrates through the foramen magnum and goes straight into the Niwan Palace in the skull to enlighten the primordial spirit.
Besides these, there are many more.
Yang Qisheng replanned the route according to the method taught by Mingyi Zhenren. It only took him half a day to easily open up all the key points and complete the opening of all meridians!
