Chapter 177 Lock
However, from the characteristics of this pistol, Eric could tell that Bill must be a man of exceptional strength.
"You trust me that much?" Eric asked Bill.
Bill said earnestly, "My intuition has always been right. My intuition tells me that you are a good person, because people with ulterior motives would never be as carefree and cheerful as you."
Upon hearing this, Eric didn't hesitate and quickly took the Sig Sauer P226 from Bill, examining it thoroughly.
Bill gave Eric a deep look. Just from Eric's incredibly smooth examination process, he knew his intuition was right. This young man was indeed extraordinary.
He didn't say much, but walked to the area under the counter and opened one of the flight attendants' lockers in front of Nancy. He took out a small box, inside which was a SIG P226 pistol.
Nancy opened her mouth, completely unaware that this thing existed in the cabinet. She wanted to say something, but ultimately kept her mouth tightly shut.
After Eric finished his inspection, he looked at Bill, who had already taken out a second pistol, and subconsciously asked, "What would happen if I accidentally killed this suspect?"
Bill, who was inspecting SIG P226, paused for a moment: "If the threat is imminent, then you..."
But at this point, for some reason, Bill suddenly had a feeling that something big was about to happen. He felt that if he gave in on this issue, this young man would definitely cause a huge mess.
Because he sensed that Eric was requesting permission to do something.
"But it's best not to. Giving you this gun is already against the rules, so..."
Eric chimed in, "I understand, so this is for me to use for self-defense? What if the suspect has a gun and is holding hostages?"
Upon hearing this, not only Bill was a little stunned, but even Nancy stared blankly at Eric's calm face, as if she had seen some monster.
“It should be fine,” Bill said.
“That’s fine then.” Eric smiled.
Nancy's lips twitched. This guy could still laugh at a time like this. Inevitably, a question arose in her mind: Who is this young man?
Only Bill looked at Eric as if he had found a reliable teammate, and said.
"You keep an eye on business class, I'll keep an eye on economy class! If things get out of hand, I'll authorize you, as a federal marshal, to temporarily carry a firearm for self-defense."
These two cabins are located directly in front of and behind the service cabin.
“OK!” Eric nodded, hiding the gun in his waistband.
Seeing this, Bill continued, looking at Nancy, "I need you and the flight attendants to cooperate."
Nancy took a deep breath, nodded, and lifted the curtain to leave.
Less than a minute later, Nancy's reply came: the flight attendants were already in position in the cabin and had woken up the sleeping passengers.
Bill nodded to Eric, signaling the operation to begin.
Eric stepped forward and stood at the edge of the service cabin, lifting the curtain with one hand.
The moment the curtain was pulled back, Eric's gaze fell upon the four people in the business class cabin: two men and two women.
Although the four people were scattered, one man and two women were in the middle, and the remaining man was right in front of them.
His appearance attracted the attention of some passengers, and Eric's gaze unconsciously lingered on the man in the middle.
This is one of the targets, Kelvin Nash.
The man happened to be looking up at him.
Their gazes met, and Eric narrowed his eyes slightly.
The man's gaze was too calm; not even a micro-expression appeared. He only showed hesitation, even glancing at the flight attendants standing in the aisle. Like Eric, Bill didn't go out either. He simply stood in front of the service cabin curtain, lifted it with one hand, and, meeting the gazes of some people, began to speak loudly:
"Ladies and gentlemen, please pay attention!"
This statement immediately drew everyone's attention, including the business class passengers Eric was facing.
Under Eric's gaze, they all looked up at him.
“My name is Bill Marks!” Bill shouted, pulling out his badge to make sure both the front and rear cabins could hear him.
"I am the Federal Air Marshal on duty for this flight. I apologize for disturbing you, but the Transportation Security Administration has recently implemented a new policy that requires us to conduct random searches on this flight."
As Bill spoke, he began to walk forward, silently approaching the nearest target: "Unfortunately, this flight is one of the three selected this month."
After silencing the passengers' doubts with this statement, Bill put away his badge, his gaze occasionally lingering on the seven targets in economy class, and said loudly:
"I will now begin the investigation. If your name and seat number are called, please stand up and stand in the aisle. If you are carrying illegal items or weapons, you'd better stand up now."
With that, Bill stopped in his tracks: "Now, everyone, please put your hands on the front seats, right now."
As Bill's voice rang out, the passengers in both cabins hesitated for a moment, but after glancing at the flight attendant, they placed their hands on the seats in front of them.
This includes the eleven targets on the list.
However, Eric's gaze remained fixed on the man sitting in the last row named Kelvin Nash.
"Zek Montoya".
As Bill spoke, he gestured for the first target nearby to stand up.
Then he called out loudly, "Theo Ramsey." That was the first target in business class.
Eric looked at the man next to him whose name had been called and nodded to him to stand up.
Although the man was suspicious, he did not ask Eric's identity, assuming he was just another air marshal. He then stood up in the aisle and cooperated with the inspection.
Eric casually searched him and nodded, "Can you take out your luggage?"
-
"Carly Edwards!"
Having searched his first target in economy class, Bill moved on to his second target, then simultaneously announced his second target in business class.
"Aishie Cooper!"
Eric had just finished checking the luggage when he moved on to the next person, gesturing for the second person to stand up and cooperate with the inspection.
It must be said that Bill's actions undoubtedly put considerable pressure on the suspect who sent the message, and this pressure is even increasing exponentially.
Eric's peripheral vision had been fixed on Kelvin Nash, the last person to catch his attention.
The other person's expression was no longer relaxed, but became increasingly serious. Although they tried to hide it well, they could not hide their micro-expressions.
The iris constricts to a pinpoint shape, but there is no blinking reflex.
Slightly lift and press the lower eyelid upwards.
Eric didn't believe this guy had nothing to hide, so after checking the second target, he slowly walked towards the third target. At this point, the two were getting closer and closer, only two seats apart.
