Chapter 188: Women are not allowed to stay in college

Tifa sensed something from her supervisor Aaron's expression and took the opportunity to declare on the spot that she was already taken.

After hanging up the phone call Eric had just made, she turned around and saw that the tall and muscular action expert was now like a punctured balloon, his embarrassment obvious, even his dark skin couldn't hide the flush on his face.

He leaned against the desk behind him, seemingly natural, but he didn't know where to put his hands and feet.

Tifa asked calmly, "What is it?"

She's a psychology expert, and now she's a profiler, so how could she not see that Derek is interested in her? To be honest, Derek's feelings, written all over his face, are as clear to her as an open file.

If it's just something to admire and find interesting, that's fine, but if the other party wants to take action, then I'd better not.

Her heart was completely occupied by that figure, so full that she could no longer see any other men.

"Uh..." Derek was momentarily speechless, his throat tightening as if gripped by an invisible hand. He had no idea what to say. He wished he could disappear on the spot. If there were a crack in the ground, he would definitely crawl into it immediately.

"Guys!" A slightly clear voice rang out promptly. It was the thin data analyst, Spyther, who pushed up his glasses.

"Want to hear some fresh, hot news? I'm wondering what it would be like if there was a bomb on our upcoming flight to Boston?"

This sensational topic, like a pebble thrown into calm water, instantly attracted everyone's attention and rescued Derek from the embarrassing rack.

These words drew everyone's attention and saved Derek, who quickly replied.

"Spitzer, from what you're saying, is there another plane crash recently?"

Tifa had no interest in such small talk, even though the probability of a fatal accident in commercial aviation was pitifully low, roughly equivalent to drowning in the shower or being struck by lightning, far lower than the risk of driving.

Every plane crash is a major news event that shocks the world.

But she had more important things to do: pack her things, leave, and go see the person who filled her heart.

Tifa turned and strode away, her movements swift and decisive.

However, Spyther's next words instantly stopped her in her tracks: "Yesterday, a bomb was found on a flight from Los Angeles to Quantico. However, it was dealt with by a hero who chose to remain anonymous and the air marshals on the flight."
So luckily, the plane bombed, but everyone survived.

To be honest, I just did a simulation. If their actions had been just a few minutes later, the result would have been a complete disaster, and many people would have died.

Tifa frowned slightly and turned to look at Spyser.

Out of curiosity, Derek asked, "Shouldn't we be in charge of the follow-up to this kind of case? Seriously, who exactly is that anonymous hero?"

Spyther shrugged. "I heard it's a patrolman from the Los Angeles Police Department."

These words struck Tifa like a hammer blow to her heart. She gritted her teeth and turned to leave, her large movement attracting the attention of Spyther and Derek.

They looked at each other.

Only Spyther pouted and mocked Derek, saying, "Who gave you the courage to think that a beauty like Tifa is still single?"
You actually want to pursue her? Dude, are you blind? Can't you see she doesn't even notice you?

Someone interjected: "No, I don't think Tifa sees men as a species at all."

Spyser wholeheartedly agreed: "Exactly! Only some hormone-crazed fool wouldn't see that, if it weren't for me." He deliberately dragged out the words.

"Spitzer!" Derek was furious, his dark face turning purple as he lunged at his foul-mouthed colleague to teach him a lesson.

The car sped along the road to the experience center, the scenery outside the window rushing past.

Tifa gripped the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force.

"The Los Angeles to Quantico flight. Bomb. Anonymous hero. All Los Angeles Police Department patrol officers survived; a few minutes later they would have been all gone."

Every word of Spyser's words resonated in her mind like a drumbeat, and a tremendous sense of lingering fear, like a chilling tsunami, instantly spread from the depths of her body.

She dared not think about what she would do if Eric died on his way to find her.

Eric, however, never mentioned it after arriving. Today, he even hugged her and said with a smile that he would do his best to complete her mission.

An indescribable rage and extreme panic surged through Tifa's chest.

"Damn it!" Tifa slammed on the gas, the engine roared, and the car shot toward its destination like an arrow.

-

Eric, along with Nadia and Jay, who were waiting at the entrance of the FBI Experience Center, saw a speeding BMW Mini Cooper approaching with a fierce momentum and suddenly braking on the sidewalk in front of them.

"Is this Tifa's car?"

Natie hesitated, but as a mother, she was keenly aware that something was wrong with her daughter.

“Yes.” Eric was equally puzzled as to what was wrong with Tifa. She seemed so relaxed on the phone, so what was causing this aggressive aura?
The next second, Eric, who was completely dumbfounded, along with Nadi and Geo who were equally bewildered, saw Tifa, who was silent and pale, push open the door and get out of the car.

The three noticed that Tifa hadn't even bothered to close the car door. She was walking quite fast, her brown chunky-heeled sandals making rapid and loud clattering sounds on the concrete, each step carrying an unrestrained force.

Before Nadia and Geo could figure out what was wrong with their daughter, only Eric noticed, because he saw the storm in Tifa's eyes and the subtle changes in her expression, a mixture of panic and fear.
Although he didn't yet understand the source of this change, Eric subconsciously opened his arms slightly as he looked at Tifa, who was heading straight for him.

Then, Tifa caught him as he crashed into her arms, clinging tightly to his waist and burying her face deep in his chest.

"what happened?"

Feeling Tifa's slight tremor, Eric smiled. In that instant, he seemed to understand why Tifa was behaving this way.

If there's anything else that's happened recently, anything that could have changed Tifa to this state, it's nothing more than yesterday's plane incident.

"Did someone bully you?"

“Hmm.” Tifa’s voice trembled slightly.

"Tell me his name, and I'll beat him up for you."

"Eric Stevens".

"Uh? Sorry, I don't think I can beat him."

"."

The two embraced, speaking riddles that only they could understand.

Nadi and Geo exchanged a glance, their eyes conveying a single message: "Girls grow up and leave home."
