Chapter 205 Strong

As Eric expected, the gunfire from the small isolation door on the left first subsided, but then the next second, firepower took over, switching from fully automatic fire to short bursts of 2-3 rounds for continuous blocking.

It was obvious that these people already knew he had been forced to back down.

The firepower on the right side remained fierce, with continuous and seamless firepower suppressing the stair platform relentlessly!

A clear "click" was heard as the forwards, who had been suppressing the enemy's firepower, finished reloading.

The firepower was never truly interrupted; the left side of the isolation door was suppressed while the right side was reloaded, and the right side of the rear door section was suppressed while the left side was reloaded.

Both sides used continuous, alternating, and overwhelming firepower to pin Eric to the spot! They completely blocked all angles and time windows for his counterattack.

Footsteps began to sound; they had all emerged and appeared below.

His only option is to retreat, but that means the space will continue to shrink, leaving him no choice but to face the enemy head-on and see if his rapid and precise shooting can kill all the enemies in an instant.

But that's too risky. He might be able to easily solve it with his current skill level, but he doesn't want to try. Bullets don't have eyes.

Images flashed through Eric's mind, but his face remained expressionless. He simply glanced at the ceiling above his head, near the top of the stairs, following the handrail and the angle of the gunshot.

There was a fire hose wrapped in insulation material, and next to it was the water supply pipe for the café.

These enemies have focused all their attention on him and have no other ideas whatsoever.

It seems like they're under a lot of pressure.

They heard the enemy's footsteps on the first step.

Eric abruptly raised the muzzle of his Benelli M4 upwards, angled it forward, and aimed it at the old water pipe, guided by instinct and memory.

boom!
The third slug, with its terrifying destructive power, instantly tore the fire hose apart.

Everyone below was taken aback, unsure of what Eric was up to.

"Pfft! Splash!!!"

The cold water pressurized by the fire hoses gushed out from the ruptured pipes like a flood bursting its banks! The water instantly formed a dense curtain, drenching Ralph and the others below.

Ralph and his men were caught off guard; water rushed into their eyes, instantly blurring their vision!
Even more deadly, the water hitting the scalding hot gun barrel made a hissing sound and produced a wisp of steam, further interfering with vision and breathing.

They blinked instinctively, but the actions and procedures for suppressing fire inevitably suffered fatal delays and chaos. Water splashed everywhere, instantly turning the area around the stairwell into a messy, slippery mess!
Without the slightest hesitation, amidst the roar of the bursting pipes and the rushing water, Eric sprang up from his crouched position like a cheetah!
He swiftly half-turned his body on the slippery platform, instantly flicking the muzzle of his gun to the rear. He knew that the enemy's vision would be least obstructed at the rear, and their reaction would be the fastest!
Sure enough! The enemy on the right side of the rear section, holding an SG550, was startled by the sudden burst of the water pipe and the cascading water, but he immediately saw Eric get up. He reacted quickly and immediately raised his gun to aim!

Eric's gun was pointed at him faster. With his extraordinary reaction speed and pre-anticipated aim, he didn't even aim completely. He pulled the trigger as soon as his body was in position, relying entirely on his senses and muscle memory.

The enemy only saw a flash of light and instinctively tried to retreat, but the narrow space restricted his movements!
The slug pierced his heart, and blood spurted out along with a scream! The SG550 fell from his hand and landed on the ground. The impact sent him staggering backward, crashing heavily into the warehouse space behind him. He slid to the ground in pain, instantly losing his fighting ability!
In a split second, without even glancing at the results, Eric's pupils contracted, and all the enemies came into view. He pointed his gun at the enemy who reacted the fastest, and BOOM! A head exploded like a watermelon.

Then, Eric used the recoil from firing to retreat sharply, while his left hand swiftly braced his Benelli M4 at an angle, and his right hand precisely drew four slugs from the shotgun clip at his waist!
In the instant he stopped, he pressed his back against the side wall of the stairs leading to the second floor, using the upward angle of the stairs to provide brief cover. His right thumb pressed against the bottom of the bullet, and with a forceful push from his elbow, snap! Four bright red slugs were forced into the magazine opening at an astonishing speed!
The magazine is restored to four rounds, and there is one round in the chamber, for a total of five usable rounds.

The whole process happened in the blink of an eye! From the bursting water pipe to taking down the two men behind him, and then reloading and finding new cover, Eric's movements were as fast as a ghost.

However, the remaining three were equally ruthless, because Ralph and his companions knew that if they didn't act aggressively, they would die.

They haven't even seen the enemy's shadow yet, and they're about to be wiped out.

"He's by the wall on the stairs! Kill him!" Ralph roared, charging forward with his equally soaked but still ferocious companion, their eyes filled with utterly insane killing intent!
They unleashed a hail of bullets at the side wall of the staircase where Eric was hiding!

Rat-a-tat-tat! The wooden staircase side panels were smashed to pieces, and the ricochets emitted a dangerous whistling sound in the narrow space.

They chose the most dangerous and direct close-quarters attack! The narrow staircase restricted their formation, but the three of them, in a tight, overlapping column, charged upwards with considerable ferocity.

Eric pressed himself tightly against the cold concrete wall, feeling the vibrations from the bullet impacts while simultaneously catching the heavy, rapid thumping sounds of the stairs below, like those of a wild beast.

These guys are going to charge in together.

In a flash of thought, a figure appeared in the gap and came into his narrowed pupils. This figure was the fastest and the most threatening, and the muzzle of the gun was raised with his charge, about to be pointed at him.

Eric's pupils contracted to pinpoints, and his sense of time stretched out infinitely in that instant! His brain didn't have time to think; pure combat instinct and his body enhanced by Deep Blue points took over everything.

The flames spewing from the muzzle were particularly blinding in the dim light. Eric hadn't aimed at it at all; he had fired the shot entirely based on his extraordinary perception of the angle of the stairs, the enemy's height, and their charging speed.

boom!
The figure before him had his bones and organs crushed and exploded in an instant! His forward momentum was abruptly stopped, and he was hit head-on by a speeding truck, his feet leaving the ground and crashing into the side wall.

This inevitably hindered the charge of the two behind him, and although it was only a slight obstruction, it was enough for Eric.

In close combat, there's nothing else but reaction time and speed.

Less than 0.5 seconds! Eric leaned forward, his wrist pressing down on the gun at an almost imperceptible angle, the muzzle pointing at the second figure with the door wide open.
