Chapter 252 Fierce Battle

After a brief silence, Will's voice cut in:

"10-L-11, this is 10-A-3! Eric, do you need me to send a rookie over to help you? Over!"

Eric looked out onto the empty street: "10-A-3, no need. I have a good view here, one person should be enough for now. Keep an eye on your own sectors and don't let any curious citizens wander in. Over."

Darren's voice chimed in: "Hey, lone hero! How's it going? Isn't it a little eerily quiet? I'm practically deafened by all the horns on my end, a bunch of people are asking me why I can't get through, over!"

Eric seemed to be able to imagine the scene, a slight smile playing on his lips: "10-A-16! Quiet is better than noisy, at least no one's giving me the middle finger here, over."

Then came Weston's voice: "He's enjoying his solitude, don't bother him, 10-L-11, we're about 300 yards south of you, just call if you need anything, over!"

Eric said, "10-L-11 received! Keep the channel quiet!"

------------------

Just after the work on the perimeter began to be completed.

Westlake Community.

Westlake, a suburban-style, low-density residential area, has one house that is now completely surrounded.

Three black BearCat armored vehicles blocked the front street and flanks of the house in a fan shape. The fully armed SWAT team had established a solid offensive position based on the armored vehicles and nearby vehicles.

Two black and white LAPD patrol cars were parked diagonally, blocking the exit of the back alley.

An unremarkable old Chevrolet Caprice was parked at the outer intersection, while the detective's unmarked plainclothes car was positioned further out.

Police drones also buzzed overhead, providing real-time thermal imaging.

A total of twenty-seven combat units.

This is quite a large-scale operation; most police departments and law enforcement agencies cannot manage this kind of setup. The Los Angeles Police Department, as one of the three major police departments in the United States, is indeed well-funded and powerful. However, this is the kind of equipment one would expect to have to deal with long gun fire.

Next to the old Chevrolet, Costa stared grimly at the house a few dozen meters away. The hood of the car in front of him served as a makeshift command post, covered with a simple structural diagram of the house.

His hands and shoulders were covered in blood.

But it wasn't his blood; it was the blood of his teammate, White.

White was riddled with bullets by that damned guy, who hit him in the shoulder and chest.

Fortunately, he managed to pull him to a safe location in time, and he has now been taken away by medical personnel.

Given the current medical conditions, White should be fine. After all, the United States has considerable expertise in treating gunshot wounds, and unless the injury is fatal, it can usually be saved.

Thinking about this, Costa's face darkened considerably.

He did underestimate the suspect. After Joyna obtained the search warrant, the two of them tried to sneak into the suspect's house to check the situation, confirm whether the suspect was there, and then call for backup to carry out the arrest operation.

Unexpectedly, the other side opened fire with rifles from inside, catching them completely off guard.

It turns out that the suspect had installed hidden cameras outside, which is why he knew their every move.

More importantly, this suspect, Damon Ike, actually had an accomplice!
Kieran Meeker!

He started learning shooting at the age of six and was a former professional skeet shooter, considered one of the top marksmen in Los Angeles.

This finally explains why, despite the similarities between the two massacres, some organs were missing in the Mosley family murder case. It turns out that Damon Ike took them, possibly keeping them in the trunk of his car, where they were eventually discovered by Officer Eric Stevens, a Level 3 officer.

"Detective Costa, everything is ready." Next to Costa was a fully armed SWAT team, led by Captain Rafe, one of the original investigation team members.

"it is good!"

Costa said in a deep voice, "Captain Rafe, I'm not as professional as you, so I'll hand over the leadership to you for now."

"understand!"

Upon hearing this, Rafe nodded, his face expressionless, and immediately pressed the call button on his tactical headset.
"All units, this is SWAT-1. Suspect's location confirmed. Sniper, report the situation!"

A corresponding response immediately came through the earpiece:
Sniper-1: "Clear view from the bedroom window, no target detected."

Sniper-2: "The living room window was partially obscured, and I could see a shadow moving around, but I couldn't tell if the person was carrying a weapon."

Rafe said, "Roger that, keep the surveillance on! Negotiation team, this is SWAT-1, try negotiating one more time!"

It still comes down to procedural justice. When an encirclement has already been established, SWAT teams usually only attempt a surprise attack after negotiations have failed.

Because once the raid is confirmed, the suspect's fate is uncertain.

So, one of the negotiators, who was hiding behind the armored vehicle, picked up the megaphone again and shouted in as calm a tone as possible:
“Damon! Kieran! This is Officer Bowen. We don’t want things to get worse, right? Listen, we can talk.”

"Put your guns down first, okay? Let me hear your voices."

However, what responded to him, and what was seen on the scene, was a sudden burst of flames shooting out from the living room window.

boom! boom! boom!
A hail of bullets rained down, making the armored vehicle in front of the negotiator rattle and sparks fly. He quickly pulled back, cursing under his breath!
"SWAT-1, they've opened fire! Fully automatic weapons! They have no intention of negotiating!"

This time, Rafe didn't hesitate any longer and immediately ordered: "All units, final confirmation! Breakthrough team, break through the front and back doors simultaneously."

The attack group will proceed with the room clearing in the Alpha and Bravo sequence.

Snipers maintain continuous surveillance, and the authority to fire freely is limited to situations where there is a clear threat to life.

Cover team, lock all windows.

Action! Action! Action!

As soon as the words were spoken, the raid began instantly, with a group of fully armed SWAT officers sneaking forward.

boom!
boom!
Almost simultaneously, the front and back doors of the house were blown open by specialized breaching explosives, sending wood chips and metal fragments flying everywhere!

"LAPD! Get down on the ground!"

The roars of the SWAT team members, accompanied by the huge explosion of the stun grenade thrown into the building and a bright flash, rang out!
boom!
The four members of Alpha Team prepared to storm into the living room through the blown-open front door in a standard stacked formation!
However, the two suspects inside the house were not unprepared. They had anticipated the house would be stormed and did not wait in the center of the room to be surrounded.

The moment the three members of the Alpha team burst through the front door, fierce firepower erupted from behind the sofa in the corner of the living room and from the kitchen corridor.

Da da da da da!!!
boom!boom!boom!boom!
The Alpha team members who stormed in were forced to retreat while simultaneously opening fire.

The fierce battle has begun.

But the continuous roar of the fully automatic rifles instantly drowned out the SWAT team members' semi-automatic bursts! Bullets swept across like a storm of metal!
