Chapter 254 Game Over
The announcements on the walkie-talkie never stopped. There were announcements from Daves, Will and his group, and other colleagues who were about to arrive for support. All sorts of voices were mixed together, making the channel seem chaotic.

Eric selectively ignored most of the irrelevant announcements, gazing ahead with his attention focused on the corner of the avenue at the far end of his vision, where the dark blue Ford F-150 pickup truck had not yet appeared.

After thinking for a moment, Eric took advantage of a communication gap and pressed the call button: "10-Adam-1! This is 10-L-11! The suspect vehicle has not yet arrived at my location. Requesting authorization for clear rules of engagement."

The enemy possesses heavy firepower. Do you authorize the use of lethal force? Over.

His voice silenced the noisy channel for a moment.

In the dispatch center, Daves frowned, looking at the icons representing police forces on the large screen in front of him, which had formed a dense encirclement of the suspect. Although he hesitated for a moment, he still replied.

"10-L-11, this is 10-Adam-1! Your safety and the safety of the public are the highest priority!"

Eric narrowed his eyes slightly: "10-L-11! Received!"

But the next second, Daves's voice came through: "Authorization confirmed! Repeat, authorization to use lethal force! Over!"

Upon hearing this, Eric immediately blocked all subsequent announcements; this authorization was enough.

Next, we just need to act according to the circumstances.

"10-L-11! Received!"

In the dispatch center, Daves heard Eric's reply, gritted his teeth, and turned to leave; he had to go to the scene.

-

"So when will you arrive?"

Perhaps it was intuition, but Eric's heart skipped a beat, and a strong premonition told him that his target was about to appear.

The thought had barely crossed his mind when a furious roar of an engine came from around the corner of the road in the distance!

A dark blue Ford F-150 pickup truck, like an out-of-control beast, suddenly darted into the lane and charged at extremely high speed!

"They're here!" Eric squinted, leaned against the rear tire of the police car, raised his M4, and prepared to kneel and aim at the dark blue Ford F-150 pickup truck, firing a few shots to test it out.

But the police car was such a big target that Kieran, who was in charge of dealing damage, could naturally see it too. Even Eric didn't expect the other side to be so crazy.

Just as he was about to raise his gun, a gunshot suddenly rang out, rat-a-tat-tat-tat!

Bullets pelted the Explorer patrol car like hailstones, shattering the windows instantly. The hood and front grille rattled and dented from the impacts.

More bullets whizzed past the roof of the car, hitting the road behind it and sending up a trail of gravel.

Moreover, it seemed like the other side knew where the police would be hiding; stray bullets whizzed past Eric's side and landed on the car wall with a thud.

The fact that the gunman could maintain such a suppressive effect at such a distance demonstrates that he was well-trained and had excellent marksmanship.

As expected of a machine gun, its firepower was exceptionally fierce. Eric chose to retreat back into the rear of the massive Explorer police car, hiding his body in the sturdiest part near the wheel hub.

The entire vehicle trembled slightly under the impact of machine gun fire.

Eric, however, remained remarkably calm. He was safe here; although the enemy's firepower was fierce, it posed no real threat to his life.

The police car tilted sideways, with the engine compartment and trunk forming the main cover. Most of the bullets were absorbed by the upper part of the car and the engine.

Unless a bullet can accurately penetrate two high-strength alloy wheels simultaneously, or hit a single point at a very high angle to penetrate the axle, it cannot reach him.

But clearly, the enemy cannot do that.

Eric patiently waited for the perfect moment, carefully discerning the distance and direction of the engine roar.

"It's getting closer and closer."

The police car suddenly dropped to the right. Eric didn't risk peeking out; instead, he leaned forward from his crouching position, quickly lay down, and adopted a prone shooting position.

With the M4 rifle resting on the stable support formed by his left hand, the butt firmly against his shoulder, he looked out through the narrow gap between the vehicle and the ground.

Because the police car was positioned lower to the right, the view from under the vehicle was quite limited. While it provided a protective view, the angle also prevented him from seeing the pickup truck.

But that's okay, he doesn't need to see the whole vehicle, he just needs to lock onto the fast-moving front tire that's already showing its face!
boom! boom! boom!
Eric fired three short shots.

puff! laugh!
Three bullets hit the target simultaneously, and the high-speed spinning front right tire instantly exploded and disintegrated, with rubber fragments flying everywhere. The rim violently rubbed against the ground, emitting an extremely piercing screech and leaving a long trail of dazzling sparks.

The pickup truck, which was accelerating at full speed and trying to force its way through the checkpoint with firepower, suddenly lost control as if its front leg had been tripped by a giant rope! The front of the truck instantly went out of control and veered uncontrollably to the right.

"WTF?" Damon Ike, in the driver's seat, was completely taken aback by this situation. In his common sense, he never imagined that any patrolman could hit a tire moving at high speed.

"Hold on!"

Damon Ike tried desperately to steer the car back, but the immense inertia rendered all his efforts futile, and the vehicle went completely out of control.

Kieran, in the passenger seat, was also caught off guard by the sudden turn of events. The powerful centrifugal force slammed him against the car door, and the firing of his M249 machine gun went out of control, bullets flying wildly into the sky. Accompanied by the sound of rat-a-tat-tat.

The out-of-control pickup truck veered forward a few more meters, its right front wheel rim screeching wildly against the ground. Then, the front of the truck veered to one side, followed by a loud bang, and it crashed violently into a thick metal lamppost on the side of the road.

boom!
The hood twisted and deformed, white smoke billowed out, and the vehicle finally came to a complete stop.

"Fake!"

Kieran's professionalism and ruthless nature made him react first. He shook his head, which was still dazed from the impact, glanced at Damon, who was slumped over the steering wheel with a bleeding head, and it was unclear whether he was unconscious or already dead. Then he looked at the police car that was riddled with bullets not far away.

His ferocity overwhelmed everything! He kicked open the passenger door, which was deformed from the impact, and struggled to climb out. He didn't even care about the heavy M249. Instead, he instantly drew a pistol from his holster and tried to use the engine compartment and door as cover to find the person who had caused the car to overturn.

But he had no idea that Eric had already taken the next step in the same way.

He got up, moved a few meters toward the front of the police car, changed his firing position, knelt down, and took up his gun again.

Seeing Kieran draw his pistol and blankly try to locate him, Eric's eyes remained unmoved, and only one thought crossed his mind.

"Game over!"

Bang! Bang! Double burst fire.

Kieran had just noticed the movement on his flank and hadn't even had time to fully turn around and raise his gun when two 5.56mm rifle bullets accurately struck his torso.

One bullet pierced his right arm and entered his chest cavity, while the other struck his heart directly.

Kieran's body stiffened abruptly, the pistol slipping from his hand. He looked down at the blood gushing from his body, his eyes filled with disbelief and resentment. He opened his mouth, then fell straight backward, crashing heavily onto the asphalt road next to the pickup truck, where he remained motionless.

Eric maintained his aiming posture, slightly shifting the muzzle of his gun, and confirmed the presence of another person inside the driver's compartment through the shattered car window.

He lay slumped over the steering wheel, not making a sound.

At the same time, a notification sound indicating that the task was completed also rang out.

The entire battle lasted only a dozen seconds, simple and straightforward. It was indeed much easier than the mission on the train back then.

Anyway, I didn't feel any pressure.

"Is it that bald driver?" Eric raised an eyebrow, also feeling a sense of coincidence.

It seems he got this mission himself.

Eric glanced at the empty streets around him, pressed the call button, and made the announcement, saving these guys some trouble.

"10-Adam-1, this is 10-L-11. The suspect vehicle has been brought to a stop. Both suspects have been subdued. The scene is safe. Medical and forensic personnel are required. Over."

The report was clearly transmitted across the entire channel via radio.

A strange, brief silence fell over the channel; all the noisy announcements vanished instantly.

Daves, who was on his way to the scene, paused for a moment before realizing what was happening.

"10-L-11! Repeat! Say it again! The suspect vehicle has been forced to stop? The suspect has been subdued? Are you sure? Over!"

Eric's reply came the next second.

“10-Adam-1,这里是10-L-11。确认,深蓝色福特F-150皮卡,侧撞于我封锁点前方约20米处路灯。

Two adult male suspects, one motionless in the driver's seat and the other slumped outside the vehicle on the passenger side, both incapacitated. Repeat, scene safe. Requesting medical and forensic personnel. Over.

Daves let out a long breath, and his tense body finally relaxed.

This guy is really something.
At the same time, on Eric's side,
As soon as the words were spoken, the sharp sound of sirens converged from all directions.

Eric, with an M4 slung over his shoulder, looked back. Amidst the flashing red and blue lights, the first to arrive were the patrol cars driven by Will, Weston, and Darren.

The newbies have disappeared; they must have been ordered to stay in the safe rear area.

Under Eric's speechless gaze, the patrol cars screeched to a halt in a standard tactical formation near him.

“Eric!” Will shouted.

The car door was suddenly pushed open, and the three men quickly got out. Using the car door as cover, they pointed their guns warily at the smoking pickup truck and the fallen suspect, as if facing a formidable enemy.

"Guys, relax!" Eric said, spreading his hands helplessly as he looked at their tense expressions.

"It has ended."
