Chapter 128 You Can Never Compare
Wen Jinian slowly woke up around 8 p.m. on the third night. In her hazy state, she saw a dark ceiling and fear instantly overwhelmed her. She instinctively curled up, but the movement aggravated her wounds, causing her to gasp for breath.

Chi Yige, who was working on his tablet with his head down, rushed forward upon hearing the sound and took her hand: "Niannian, you're awake!"

Wen Jin hesitated, as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself: "But what about her injury?" Chi Yige turned to look at her, his gaze firm: "Don't worry, I will arrange for a family doctor to follow up with her immediately."

Wen Jin was relieved and hurriedly helped pack her belongings.

Chi Yige quickly dialed Li Mingyi's number and instructed him to prepare a vehicle and pack hospital supplies.

He picked up a blanket and gently draped it over Wen Jinnian's shoulders, avoiding her injured area with his palms, and steadily lifted her up in a princess carry.

Wen Jinian subconsciously snuggled closer to him, drawing in the familiar warmth and sense of security.

Chi Yige did not have Li Mingyi raise the lift platform, but instead turned on all the rear seat overhead lights.

Forty minutes later, the car arrived at the villa in the hillside.
