Chapter 14 The King of Clams
Yun Jiao smiled as she held the coconut snail, which was bigger than her face.

She didn't stop them from selling them not because she was greedy and wanted to eat them, but because she felt there was something inside the snails.

It should be a pearl, but she couldn't say for sure until it was opened; her senses were very vague.

"Jiaojiao, how did you learn to swim? Swim for Fifth Brother to see."

Yun Jiao handed him the precious conch shell and earnestly instructed him, "Take good care of it, brother, don't lose it, baby."

Yun Xiaowu nodded: "Okay, okay, I know it's your treasure, I'll take good care of it."

Yun Jiao was finally satisfied, and then she demonstrated how she swims on the spot.

Yun Chenxi and Yun Xiaowu watched as she, like a little fish diving into the water, swam around easily and freely.

Yun Chenxi was dumbfounded: "I didn't teach her to scuba dive, did I?"

Yun Xiaowu's eyes widened: "I thought I was fast enough at swimming and diving, but compared to Jiaojiao, I'm practically a terrible student!"

"Holy crap, why isn't it up yet?!"

A minute had passed, and if Yun Jiao hadn't been able to see her still swimming, Yun Chenxi would have really thought something had happened to her.

He plunged into the sea and pulled the person out.

"How are you feeling? Don't you feel short of breath and uncomfortable, like you can't catch your breath?"

Yun Jiao had a rosy complexion and looked very energetic. She even giggled when being hugged.

When asked, she tilted her head slightly, looking a little puzzled, and asked, "Do I need to breathe again?"

Oh right, humans can't breathe in seawater.

Yun Chenxi: …………

Are you speaking in human language?

"Second brother, I'm not feeling bad."

Yun Chenxi: "You... I'm even jealous."

Yun Jiao flapped her chubby little legs, which were as white as lotus roots, and said, "I want to play more, Second Brother, let me go."

"Go on, go on. If you can't hold your breath and feel uncomfortable, remember to float to the surface to breathe."

Yun Jiao obediently replied, "Okay."

Although he let Yun Jiao play by herself, Yun Chenxi didn't dare to take his eyes off her, afraid that the little one would get carried away and run into the deep water.

Yun Jiao, on the other hand, was quite comfortable, as her view of the seawater was completely unaffected.

She could see the clams emerging from the sand on the seabed very clearly.

With a quick grab of her chubby little hand, she snatched a plump clam into her grasp.

There's one here, and one there too...

These things are buried in the sand on the beach. Clams are not worth much, and people who go beachcombing usually dig them up to take home for their own families to eat.

Many of them just surfaced directly in the sea.

The water here is shallow and somewhat murky at the bottom; you can't see anything unless you look carefully.

The clams were tiny; even the biggest one wasn't as big as her chubby little hand.

Soon, Yun Jiao picked and chose, then swam to the surface with a bunch of plump clams in her arms.

"Brother, brother, look!"

Yun Erge and Yun Xiaowu looked over at the same time, and then neither of them knew how to respond with their expressions.

No, is she here to learn to swim or to buy goods?
Are these clams so easy to find? And they're all so plump.

"Where did you find it?"

Yun Xiaowu was eager to try it out.

"there."

She pointed with her chubby little hand.

"Come on, let's take my brother with us."

Yun Chenxi: "Don't go too far."

Yun Xiaowu: "Don't worry, I'll take good care of my sister."

Yun Chenxi glared at him: "You're the one I'm most worried about. Be mindful of your distance."

He also had to keep an eye on Yun Xiaojiu and his other younger brothers who were searching for things on the beach; he simply couldn't keep track of everyone.

Yun Jiao and Yun Xiaowu went diving together and soon found another clam.

However, Yun Xiaowu couldn't see very well in the seawater. The water wasn't deep, and the sand in the seawater would churn up with the slightest movement, making the water murky and preventing him from opening his eyes.

Unbeknownst to anyone, Yun Jiao's eyes were protected as if by a transparent film, allowing her to see the situation in the sea more clearly without being harmed.

Yun Xiaowu searched for a while, but he didn't find many clams. Instead, the water became increasingly turbid as he struggled, so he quickly floated to the surface.

Not long after, Yun Jiao also poked her head out of the water.

"Fifth Brother, look!"

Good heavens, she was carrying another bunch, about a dozen clams.

He searched for a long time but only found four or five.

This gap is too big.

"You can't see anything from inside, how did you find it?"

He said, if it were really that easy to find someone, no one else would have thought of this method.

"That's how I found it."

"Let's put these in the bucket first."

Swimming to the beach, they tossed clams into a bucket, the clinking sounds adding to their satisfaction.

"Find some more to take back and eat."

Yun Xiaowu grabbed Yun Jiao's hand: "Let's not go into the sea, let's just look on the beach."

After soaking in seawater for so long, I hope I don't catch a cold.

Yun Chenxi: "Come over and change your clothes."

Yun Jiao is still a three-year-old little kid, so it's okay for her to change clothes like this.

I changed her into a slightly larger white undershirt, but she didn't wear pants, so they wouldn't get wet and I'd have to change her again.

This t-shirt reaches just above her knees; it could practically be worn as a skirt.

"Here you go, little sister, let's dig for razor clams together."

Yun Xiaoliu handed her a small shovel.

The other boys from the Yun family were already digging around in the sand, it was hard to tell if they were digging for food or just playing.

Yun Chenxi took a screwdriver and a small bucket and went to find the surrounding rocks: "I'm going to pry some oyster meat. Xiao Wu, watch over your younger brother and sister, don't let them go into the sea."

"understood."

Yun Jiao: "Second brother, I want to go too."

"No, those rocks are too slippery, and they're covered in sharp shells. You could easily get hurt. Jiaojiao, be good and play in the sand with your brothers."

Yun Jiao: She wasn't just playing around; she genuinely wanted to help find the item.

If she's not allowed to go, she won't go. She can dig up a lot of things even when she's digging in the sand.

Holding a small shovel, Yun Jiao began to get busy.

She found a patch of sand and started digging where there were holes in the ground.

"These razor clams seem to be much bigger than the ones we usually eat."

It looks so plump and delicious.

Never mind, keep digging...

"Hehe... another huge razor clam."

Yun Jiao fiddled with her little hands even more enthusiastically.

After Yun Xiaowu had been digging for sand clams for a while, he glanced at his younger brothers who were running around, and then at his younger sister who was obediently digging in the sand with her back to him not far away, hardly moving at all.

My younger sister is definitely the better behaved!

He walked over and exclaimed, "Jiaojiao, you... Holy crap!"

Yun Xiaowu stared at the razor clams in Yun Jiao's bucket, speechless.

"Where...where did you dig this?"

They've dug around here before, and even other people from the village have come, but no one has ever dug up so many king clams at once!

That's right, Yun Jiao dug up the king razor clam.

The razor clams here are mostly long bamboo razor clams, small and thin, not much thicker than a chopstick, and extremely difficult to dig out.

But the king razor clam is much thicker and bigger than the long bamboo razor clam; it's about the thickness of two fingers.

His sister's luck is incredible!
