Chapter 81 Song Yi's Drunkenness
He had heard Song Yi say similar things before, but he dismissed them as Song Yi's nonsense.

Three years ago, he had asked Song Yi about her parents, but she gave a vague answer. Jiang Lanye assumed that her family was not well-off and never asked again.

He also sent people to inquire about Song Yi's family background, but they couldn't find out anything.

She appeared out of nowhere next to me.

Jiang Lanye gripped her wrist tightly, pursed his lips, and asked, "Tell me, what is your world like?"

Song Yi looked at him blankly.

Anyway, it's not like this now.

Jiang Lanye asked in a low voice, "Where are you from?"

Song Yi seemed to be annoyed by his repeated questions and tried to shake off his hand.

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you."

"Jiang Lanye, we are not from the same world at all."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Lanye let go of her hand in a daze. Her knees went weak, and she squatted down on the ground, casually tugging at the carpet fibers.

Jiang Lanye stood there quietly for a long time until Song Yi suddenly let out a soft "ah," which brought him back to his senses.

"what happened?"

My legs are numb.

Forget it, why should he argue with a drunkard?

Perhaps she was just rambling.

Song Yi's appearance clearly indicates she is from the Central Plains; no matter what, she is from the same dynasty as him.

"Since it's numb, don't squat anymore, get up quickly."

"I can't get up."

She said in a muffled voice.

"My head is so dizzy, I feel so awful."

Jiang Lanye coldly summoned a palace maid and ordered her to bring in a bowl of hangover soup.

He then pulled Song Yi up. Song Yi lost her footing and fell into his arms, her voice carrying a faint smell of alcohol.

Jiang Lanye pinched her chin, forcing her to look up at him.

"Is the wine good?"

Her cheeks were flushed, and her eyes were moist, shining brightly in the candlelight, making her look exceptionally endearing.

"Is it good?"

His speech is becoming increasingly unclear.

Jiang Lanye lowered his eyes to look at her moist lips and said in a hoarse voice, "Really? I haven't tasted it yet."

"Then go and try it."

"Ah."

A palace maid hurriedly entered with a bowl of hangover soup. As soon as she entered the hall, she saw Consort Yun struggling to stand on tiptoe, her hands tightly gripping His Majesty's dragon robe, her whole body trembling.

The so-called aloof emperor was holding her waist, forcefully pulling her into his arms, and only slightly lowering his head to kiss her.

The palace maid's hands trembled, and she almost spilled the hangover soup on the ground.

"Your Majesty, the hangover soup has arrived."

She kept her head down, not daring to look at the two of them.

Jiang Lanye was suddenly disturbed and was in a bad mood. He reluctantly let go of Song Yi, who then slumped down on the carpet.

He strode over and took the hangover soup from the palace maid.

A faint smell of alcohol wafted over, seemingly emanating from Consort Yun.

The palace maid hurriedly retreated.

Jiang Lanye turned around and looked at the bewildered Song Yi.

She was breathing heavily, her lips were exceptionally moist and bright red.

He half-squatted down and said, "Drink it."

Song Yi's eyes were red at the corners. She looked at him and said tremblingly, "No."

Jiang Lanye was surprised.

"Why?"

Because he had just restrained me and kissed me so fiercely, he clearly wasn't a good person.

Now, Song Yi had another bowl of strange stuff in her hand, which she was unwilling to drink.

Jiang Lanye realized he couldn't reason with a drunkard, so he patiently explained, "If you don't drink, you won't sober up, and your head will hurt a lot when you wake up the next day."

He had done everything he wanted to do, and now he was extremely satisfied. He was in a good mood, and his voice was slightly hoarse, very clear and light. When it reached Song Yi's ears, it made her feel weak in the knees.

Song Yi accepted the hangover soup, but still hesitated.

Seeing that she seemed to want to do something else, Jiang Lanye asked softly, "What's wrong?" "After I finish drinking, I'm going to take a bath."

Jiang Lanye paused, staring intently at her.

"go by yourself?"

Song Yi smiled, "You'll come with me."

Jiang Lanye's tone suddenly deepened, and he said, half helplessly and half suppressing his emotions, "Drink it first and then we'll talk."

"Promise me first before you drink."

"Alright, I agree."

In front of Jiang Lanye, Song Yi finished all the hangover soup.

Without Jiang Lanye saying anything, the palace maids outside had already gone to prepare hot water.

Jiang Lanye pulled her up, finding her appearance utterly amusing, and deliberately asked:

Do you know who you are?

"I am Song Yi, I am Consort Yun."

He answered fluently.

Jiang Lanye asked again, "Then who am I?"

Song Yi looked at him and suddenly reached out to touch his eyebrows and eyes.

"You? You are...you are..."

Jiang Lanye's throat was dry.

Is it someone you like?

He still asked the question.

However, Song Yi seemed not to understand the meaning of his words and just stared at him blankly.

Jiang Lanye stopped pressing her about these things, feeling that with her current way of thinking, she couldn't understand the meaning of those words.

If Jiang Lanye simply agreed to like it without thinking, it wouldn't be the outcome he wanted.

After a while, a palace maid outside the hall whispered:

"Your Majesty, hot water is ready."

Jiang Lanye looked at her and relented, "Let's go, weren't we going to take a bath?"

Xi Chun was waiting inside when she saw Song Yi holding Jiang Lan Ye's hand tightly as they walked in, and she was startled.

Jiang Lanye said calmly, "Go ahead and wash."

Song Yi touched his hand: "Together."

Jiang Lanye took a deep breath and asked calmly, "Do you know what you're saying?"

Seeing that something was wrong, Xichun quickly went over and said, "Your Highness, you are drunk. This servant will help you take a bath."

Song Yi glanced at Jiang Lanye: "And what about him?"

Xichun nearly bit her tongue.

"His Majesty is waiting outside."

Song Yi reluctantly agreed.

Xi Chun immediately whispered to Jiang Lanye, "Your Majesty, there are servants and others here to serve the Empress."

Jiang Lanye replied, "Yes, I will wait outside."

The sound of water gradually rose inside the house.

Jiang Lanye could vaguely hear Song Yi's voice.

Even when drunk, his mouth never stops.

After an incense stick had burned, Song Yi suddenly called out loudly from inside: "Jiang Lanye!"

Jiang Lanye's eyelids twitched, and almost without hesitation, he pushed open the door and went inside.

The palace maids were startled.

His gaze fell on Song Yi.

She was half-submerged in the water, holding a clump of bubbles in her hands, which she handed to Jiang Lanye.

Jiang Lanye moved his lips, then fell silent.

He didn't answer, so Song Yi maintained that posture.

In the end, Jiang Lanye compromised, spread his hands, and inexplicably took a puddle of bubbles.

Her shoulders were slightly red from the hot water, and her collarbone was exposed, with water droplets still clinging to it.

Jiang Lanye didn't dare to stay inside any longer and hurriedly left with the bubble in his hand.

After her bath, Song Yi's cheeks were flushed from the steam, indicating that the hangover soup had taken effect. She sat obediently on the low couch, her eyes gradually becoming clear.
