Chapter 51 Summoning
Sleepless: Thank you, but no need.

Scorching Sun: Good.

Beside a patch of weeds, Li Yan replied with a simple "okay," naturally realizing that the orc doctor still didn't want to befriend him.

He didn't press the other party too much. Now, many questions can be answered by asking the other party through the quantum computer, which has reduced the mortality and disability rates of the Liyan Squad.

However, it was precisely because of this that Li Yan wanted to recruit this person into his team even more.

He planned to make the invitation after the two of them got to know each other better.

After turning off his personal terminal, Li Yan glanced up at Jiang Mian, who was sitting on the steps.

The woman sat on the highest step, her two long, straight legs stretched out, her feet touching the ground in the yard. Her trousers were slightly raised at the ankles because she was sitting, revealing a section of her fair ankles. A beautiful red mole on her ankle was strikingly pretty and brightly imprinted in his eyes.

She lowered her eyes and scrolled through her personal terminal, her posture relaxed and at ease.

Li Yan thought that the ankle would look even better with a thin gold chain.

After realizing what he was thinking, his gaze darkened again. He irritably squatted down and began violently pulling up weeds, then angrily threw them aside.

Damn it, it must be because of the yellow waste. There was only that female in the room at the time, so it's only natural that he dreamed about her!
He could never like that stupid woman!
Soon, Li Yan had cleaned up the yard.

Jiang Mian was still looking at the personal terminal when she suddenly felt as if the light in front of her was blocked by a wall, and it became darker.

She paused, looked up, and saw Li Yan with a gloomy expression.

It was quite intimidating to have such a strong and tall orc standing in front of me.

"Alright," Li Yan said coldly.

Jiang Mian silently shifted her gaze to the courtyard and saw that it had been tidied up.

"Thank you for your hard work." Jiang Mian slowly stood up, supporting herself on the ground, and smiled slightly at Li Yan. "If you need my help next time, you can also come to me."

"Heh..." Li Yan chuckled lightly and glanced at her indifferently.

Although he didn't say anything, it was as if he had said everything, as if he thought Jiang Mian was talking nonsense and that he couldn't count on her being of any help in the future.

Jiang Mian:......

Since the other party had tidied up her yard, she didn't say anything.

Li Yan left immediately.

Jiang Mian paused for a moment when she saw the equipment for setting up the shed in the backyard, then quickly turned around and called out to Li Yan, "Hey Li Yan, why don't you help me set up the shed too?"

Li Yan paused in his steps upstairs, turned around to look at Jiang Mian, his handsome and sharp face expressionless.

"This is troublesome." Jiang Mian simply smiled and said three words in the face of Li Yan's cold expression.

Her beautiful, dark eyes curved slightly, looking rather cunning and adorable.

Li Yan's gaze lingered on Jiang Mian's face for a moment, then, realizing the thought that had crossed his mind, his expression turned sour again.

He strode towards Jiang Mian, his face sour: "Jiang, you're really getting more and more bossy with me!"

Jiang Mian's eyebrows twitched. She hadn't really ordered the other person around that many times, so why was he being so stingy?
This guy strode towards her like a gust of wind, looking like he was about to beat someone up. Was he really going to hit her?
As Jiang Mian's thoughts raced through her mind, she subconsciously took a step back.

To everyone's surprise, the other person simply strode up to her side, paused when he saw her backing away, glanced at Jiang Mian, seemingly understanding why she had taken a few steps back, and then gave a light scoff, his gaze seemingly asking what kind of person Jiang Mian thought of him.

He glanced at Jiang Mian, said nothing, and went straight to the yard to help her install the rain shelter. "There are light shields in the city, so even if it rains, it won't get in. Why do you need a rain shelter?" Li Yan looked at Jiang Mian with a puzzled expression as he set up the shelter.

Jiang Mian was helping him hand over the materials when she heard this, and said, "A rain shelter isn't just for blocking rain, it can also block light. I want to build a small experimental shed here."

Although the daytime light here on Exile Star is always gray, gray light is still light.

"You can even do experiments?" Li Yan chuckled as if he had heard a joke.

Jiang Mian:......

"Don't laugh yet. If I actually make the potion later, you'll be proven wrong." Jiang Mian glanced at him quietly.

Li Yan didn't take Jiang Mian's words to heart at all, nor did he want to argue with Jiang Mian about this trivial matter. He just wanted to quickly get the tent sorted out for her and then leave.

Ignoring Jiang Mian, he continued to focus on his work.

Jiang Mian also knew that this guy didn't take her seriously at all.

Jiang Mian:......

Forget it, she'll just let him set up the tent. As for whether he respects her or not, she doesn't need to care. Anyway, they'll part ways eventually.

Li Yan was very quick and efficient, and soon helped Jiang Mian set it up.

"Thank you for your hard work." Jiang Mian looked at Li Yan with a satisfied smile.

Looking into Jiang Mian's crescent-shaped eyes, Li Yan couldn't help but curl his lips slightly, without even realizing it. He raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead and casually said, "Alright, I'm leaving."

"Okay, go and rest." Jiang Mian's voice was soft, tinged with a sweet smile.

It brushed against Li Yan's heart as lightly as a feather.

Li Yan's dark eyes flickered slightly. A moment later, his sharp brows, adorned with a row of red bone nails, furrowed slightly. Without saying a word, he turned and left.

Jiang Mian looked at the cleaned-up yard with satisfaction, waiting for the equipment and medicinal plants she bought on the StarNet to arrive so she could begin her potion-making journey.

Just a wall away.

"Hey, you little rascal, are you trying to seduce your older sister by showing off your little butterfly wings in broad daylight?" The woman stared at Zhao Ci's beautiful and alluring face, her heart fluttering. "Want to come with me? I'll treat you well."

What a captivatingly beautiful yet melancholic face! Yet, the owner of this face possesses an intimidating coldness that ignites a desire to conquer him, to shatter his aloofness, and to witness his subservient demeanor.

Zhao Ci frowned, his purple-gold eyes turning a dark, cold color.

Unexpectedly, upon returning, they were blocked by humans once again.

Behind the woman were four or five strong orcs.

"Get out." The imperial edict's voice carried a chilling, icy tone.

Upon hearing this, the woman's smile vanished instantly, and she said softly, "Don't refuse a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit."

She took a step back and gestured for her five orcs to step forward: "If you five can't tie up this butterfly orc and take it back today, you'll be punished."

The five orcs looked at the imperial edict, their gazes instantly turning fierce.
