Chapter 6 Inviting people
Jiang Mian waited on the sofa in the living room.

A short while later, Rong Fei slowly walked back, and there was no one behind him.

He went alone, and came back alone.

Jiang Mian stood up from the sofa. Although she had some guesses, she still asked, "Didn't I tell you to call someone over? Where are the others?"

Rong Fei simply walked to the sofa, leaned his long legs against the white leather sofa, and always exuded a relaxed air. He tilted his head slightly, lifted his eyelids, and looked at Jiang Mian: "I called them, but they didn't come. What can Rong Fei do?"

His tone of voice was always indifferent, but there was always a calmness that could infuriate someone.

His beautiful silver eyes slowly fell on Jiang Mian, and for a moment there seemed to be a cold indifference as if staring at an inanimate object: "Why don't you go and call him yourself, Master?"

When Jiang Mian looked at him again, the man had already looked away. The coldness he had shown just now seemed to be her imagination.

"Then I'll go and invite him myself." Jiang Mian's lips twitched slightly, and he walked away.

Rong Fei's gaze lingered on Jiang Mian's departing figure. After a while, he slowly took a step and followed her.

Since last night, this woman's behavior has become somewhat unpredictable.

Following the memories in her mind, Jiang Mian went to the first room, instinctively choosing to find the familiar snake beast master.

After all, Jiang Mian was more familiar with the Snake Beast Lord than with the others.

When Rong Fei saw that Jiang Mian had first approached the snake-beastman, his eyes flickered slightly.

People will subconsciously seek out the person they feel most familiar with or have the best relationship with first.

The snake-beastman had the worst relationship with her; they barely exchanged a single word.

Rong Fei thought she would go to the scorpion beastman first, since the second most obedient one was the scorpion compared to him.

This is truly surprising.

Jiang Mian arrived at Lin Yu's door, knocked, and slowly said, "Lin... Lin Yu, come out for a moment. We need to discuss something."

When Rong Fei saw this, he was even more bewildered. Didn't this woman usually just kick the door open and go in?
Jiang Mian naturally knew that her actions were different from those of the original owner, but she didn't intend to hide it; she would live her life in her own way.

She knocked on the door, but there was no response.

Jiang Mian:......

"Heh ha..." Rong Fei next to him chuckled softly as if he couldn't help it.

Jiang Mian turned her head and glanced at him. Rong Fei also slowly lowered his eyes to look at her, his casual and playful smile undisguised.

They really don't respect their owner at all!
Jiang Mian:......

She is broad-minded and doesn't hold grudges against petty people.

Jiang Mian looked away and raised her hand to knock a second time when the door in front of her suddenly opened.

She stopped raising her wrist, and when Lin Yu looked over, she slowly lowered it: "Come out for a bit, we have something to discuss later."

Lin Yu, standing before them, had changed into a clean, pure black outfit. Except for his skin tone, everything else was black, creating a stark contrast with Rong Fei, who was dressed in pure white.

Her slightly wavy, long black hair still covered the right half of her face, revealing only her left side and her narrow, red eyes.

The right half of his face, hidden by his black curly hair, seemed to be covered with dense black snake scales.

Because the original owner thought that half of his face was covered in snake scales, which was ugly and disgusting, he wouldn't allow him to show that half of his face.

Jiang Mian remained silent for a moment, then said nothing.

Lin Yu's pair of red, jewel-like eyes merely swept coldly over Jiang Mian's forehead, which was covered with a pink bandage, without saying anything more, and simply walked out.

Jiang Mian knew he had agreed when she saw him walk out. Unlike Rong Fei, who was dressed in clean white, he was dressed in black and seemed to be hidden in the darkness, walking as if he were silent.

The two men followed behind her.

The words "Black and White Impermanence" suddenly popped into Jiang Mian's mind.

She pushed the thought out of her mind and went to find the next orc.

Jiang Mian didn't think much about the orcs; he just went to find the one whose room was closest.

Actually, the rooms of the five orcs were all side by side.

Jiang Mian took a few steps and stopped in front of a door.

Butterfly Beastman, she seems to have just rolled off someone's bed last night.

An awkward silence settled over Jiang Mian.

Of all the orcs, the original owner liked the beautiful and energetic butterfly orc the most, and harassed her many times.

It can be said that the Butterfly Orcs bore the brunt of the harassment firepower for the other Orcs.

However, the future must always be faced, so Jiang Mian still knocked on the door: "Hmm, Zhao Ci, are you there?"

I wonder how the other person dealt with the drugging last night. They probably took care of it themselves, right?
The door opened the next second.

Zhao Ci clearly possessed a face that was extremely beautiful and alluring to the emperor, but her pair of purple-gold quicksand-like eyes always carried a compelling coldness, and her entire aura was mixed with icy shards, making her gorgeous face appear sophisticated and giving off an unapproachable feeling.

No wonder the original owner liked this kind of thing. If this beastman fell in love with someone, his coldness would be crushed, and he would probably be left with a withered, thick, and beautiful love.

Jiang Mian's lips twitched slightly. The original owner really wasn't afraid.

In the era when humans domesticated beastmen, the birth rate of pure humans became increasingly low. Now, it is strictly forbidden for humans and beastmen to have illicit relations. If discovered, the human will be imprisoned and the beastman will be executed.

With humanity on the brink of extinction, the rise of the orcs seems to be a result of the evolution of the times.

Orcs are superior to humans in every way, not only in terms of wound healing, strength, and lifespan...

Jiang Mian snapped out of her reverie, feeling somewhat melancholy. Looking at the butterfly beastman before her, she wasn't particularly interested, but slowly said, "Let's go, we need to discuss something later."

She turned and walked toward the next room.

Zhao Ci thought Jiang Mian would still look at him with that disgusting gaze, but he didn't expect her to be so indifferent today. He was puzzled and frowned slightly. His heart was still full of disgust for Jiang Mian, but he still followed her.

I don't know what this woman is up to.

Jiang Mian arrived at the wolf-beastman's door and knocked: "Hey, Li Yan, come out, come out."

The door was suddenly pulled open, bringing with it a gust of wind as volatile as its owner's temper.

The man had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, with well-defined muscles. He wore simple clothes, and his exposed shoulders were taut and full of power, as if he could smash someone with a single punch.

Standing tall in front of Jiang Mian, her figure appeared extremely petite.

Jiang Mian felt an overwhelming pressure on her face.

"What is it?" A cold, impatient voice rang out.

Li Yan's gaze swept over the orcs behind Jiang Mian, finally landing on Jiang Mian herself. Her voice was mocking: "What? Another whipping contest?"

Jiang Mian:......

Not only did they not want to say another word to her, but Jiang Mian herself didn't want to say another word to them either.
