Chapter 588, Part 2: Helping Me Cultivate
Chapter 588, Part Two: Helping Me Cultivate (Part 1)
"Is this the end of the fight?"
Wow, that's so fast!
"Yes, yes"
Inside the wooden house, upon hearing this, everyone shouted in surprise.
Hongxiu squinted her big eyes, snorted, and said, "What? Do you have to put on airs to slaughter a piglet?"
Xiao Feng thought about it carefully and couldn't help but chuckle, "With your skills, young lady, it's as easy as cutting melons and vegetables."
Hongxiu beamed with delight, exclaiming, "Brother Xiao, you speak so kindly! You really please me!" She raised her glass in a toast, "Please!"
"I also admire the boldness of Miss Hongxiu, please!" Xiao Feng laughed heartily and downed his drink in one gulp.
After the two finished their drinks, Ding'an eagerly asked, "What happened next? What happened after that?"
Hongxiu picked up a meat bone and gnawed on it noisily: "The big villain is dead, so the crisis of Buxian is naturally resolved."
"Is it over already?" Ding'an asked, somewhat disappointed.
"With that little beggar around," Ren Shaoyang laughed, "who can cause any trouble?"
“Yeah, that’s true.” Ding’an nodded, then sighed, “It’s just that the opponents are too weak and the game is too uneventful.”
"Break off your hand!"
Hongxiu swung her bone club, which resembled a dog's lick, and struck him hard on the bald head, scolding, "It's easy for you to talk when you're not the one suffering! How will you know how powerful that illusion is if you don't go?"
Ding'an was jolted awake by the blow, clutching his head and crying out, "How come I didn't know?" He raised his alms bowl and shouted, "I fought two snakes plus old Fahai!" He raised his voice, "You don't know, we fought so fiercely that the mountains collapsed and the earth cracked, and the waters flooded Jinshan Temple!"
Seeing that although he looked spirited, his expression was desolate, Hongxiu knew that Ding'an was facing a formidable opponent. Finally, she softened her tone and sighed, "Tell us about it later."
Ding An laughed and said, "Of course!"
Ren Shaoyang also picked up a piece of meat bone, gnawing on it as he said, "Little beggar, how long have you been staying at Buxian Immortal's?"
“About a month or so,” Hongxiu said. “After killing Qianye, I fought a woman in red, a man in blue robes, and a man wearing a golden three-faced mask.”
“These three are all skilled in martial arts. The woman's hidden weapons are like rain, the blue-robed man's sword energy is overwhelming, and the masked man's staff is powerful. They are more troublesome than Qianye.”
Ren Shaoyang laughed and said, "Well, even if it's troublesome, it's still no match for 'One-Knife Immortal's' demonic twin blades."
"Haha, isn't that right?" Hongxiu chuckled. "If it weren't for their pure aura and close relationship with my cheap disciple, I would have killed them long ago."
Although Hongxiu said it with a smile, Xiao Feng's heart still pounded: "No wonder Hongxiu calls herself a witch, she really has a strong killing intent! If it weren't for Shaoyang and Ding'an keeping her in check, I'm afraid this woman would have slaughtered the world long ago!"
Hongxiu continued, "Later, I taught 'Fire Greed One Slash' to Xiaohongxian. This little girl is quite talented, with amazing natural strength and endurance. She mastered it in just three to five days."
"A single stroke of the 'Fire Greed' sword shakes the capital; unparalleled brilliance belongs to Yao Hong!"
Xiao Feng recited this line and sighed, "My late master never forgot the unparalleled charm of the heroine Yao Hong. I never imagined it would originate from our Miss Hongxiu!"
Hongxiu smiled faintly, "I only taught her for half a month before she went to Kaifeng. First, she fought with the Black God of Wealth of Xiujinlou, and then she went to Bujianshan to make friends with Yan, the leader of the Mo Sect. She originally wanted to go to Hutuo River."
She paused, shook her head and smiled, "I don't know why, but I suddenly came back."
(P.S.: No particular reason, I haven't finished the update yet.)
After she finished speaking, everyone fell silent for a moment.
Xiao Feng clapped his hands and laughed, "Your experiences are truly fascinating!"
Ding'an patted his stomach and exclaimed, "I was wrong, I'll punish myself with a bag of wine!" He then raised the leather bag and began to drink it down in large gulps.
"Get out of here!" Hongxiu shoved him away. "Trying to sneak a drink? No way!"
Ding'an choked on his food, but he wasn't angry. He just hugged the leather bag and chuckled.
Ren Shaoyang raised his glass in a toast: "Have you had fun?"
Hongxiu stuck out her tongue and returned the toast: "Not bad!" After drinking the cup, she patted her chest and said, "I learned some of the secrets of craftsmanship from Master Yan, and I'll upgrade the donkey cart in the next few days."
"The Ink Sect's Creations of Heaven and Earth?" Ren Shaoyang raised an eyebrow, smiled, and nodded. "We'll wait and see."
"Oh, right!" Hongxiu slapped her forehead, pulled a small ball from her bosom, and handed it over. "Here you go!"
Ren Shaoyang took the small ball and asked curiously, "What is this?"
Hongxiu looked at the small ball, which was pure white, shimmering with iridescent light, and had eight holes, and laughed, "This is called 'Eight Sound Holes,' a peerless treasure given to me by the Giant Yan."
"The Eight Sounds Aperture?" Ren Shaoyang smiled. "It's quite a lucky item." He flipped his hand and put it into the Sword Realm. "Thanks."
Hongxiu laughed and said, "Why are you being so polite with me!"
Everyone ate and drank heartily. After finishing the meat and wine, they patted their bellies and lay down on their chairs.
Ren Shaoyang picked his teeth, looked at Ding An, and gestured with his lips.
Ding An was stunned, his eyes widening: "What do you mean?"
Hongxiu turned around and saw Ding'an staring wide-eyed at her with a silly look on his face. She was both annoyed and amused. She said, "It's your turn to tell a story!" Pointing to the golden bowl in his hand, she said, "Where did you get this spittoon? Why is it so precious?"
"Go away!" Ding'an said with a sullen expression. "What do you mean by a spittoon? This is a golden bowl, made of gold!"
"Alright, alright!" The little beggar's eyes flashed with golden light as he stared intently at the golden bowl. "Tell me your story."
Ding'an's spirits lifted, and he straightened up, excitedly saying, "You have no idea how different that world is after I went there!"
-
At the foot of Kunlun Mountain.
Ding An, dressed in a black robe, traveled upstream along the river. Looking around, he saw only the vast darkness and desolation.
This place is a vast expanse of desert, sparsely populated, but the river is clear. However, the further west you go, the narrower the river becomes, and people and animals can wade across it on foot, so it must be not far from the source.
Ding'an recognized the Kunlun territory at a glance, thanks to his tracking of the little beggar back then.
When Hongxiu regained her martial arts skills, her sister controlled her mind, and she ran away. Ding'an and Shaoyang chased her for thousands of miles before finally catching her at Yihua Palace.
Although the world they live in is different now, Ding'an looks around and the scenery is not much different.
Seeing the glaciers covering the mountain ridges in the distance, their whiteness dazzling, I knew I had arrived at the Bayan Har Mountains.
He climbed the mountain without stopping, and after turning around the rocks, he saw gurgling springs cascading down from the top of the mountain, converging into a stream. The stream water carried pieces of ice and made a rushing sound.
Ding'an lay down and gulped down several mouthfuls of water, exhaled a breath, and exclaimed, "Good water! Good water!" Then, hands on his hips, he nodded and laughed, "The spring water has ice crystals, and tastes as delicious as Guojiao! The cripple is right."
He sat at the source of the river, gazing at the vast, boundless sky, and frowned in thought, saying, "Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. I've come all this way to Kunlun, so I might as well go and check out the Valley of Villains!"
Ding'an was open-minded and had a strong ability to execute orders. He acted immediately, leaping into the air and floating on the ground, his feet sometimes sinking and sometimes floating, sliding forward for dozens of feet. When he felt he was about to descend, he would take another step, repeating this process several times until he disappeared in an instant.
This skill is precisely the "elegance" of the "Book of Forgetfulness," which Ding An had previously found difficult to use. Now, having rid himself of his inner demons, he suddenly felt the spiritual energy of heaven and earth surrounding him. When he unleashed it, it was as effortless as a soaring eagle.
The bald man, clad in black robes, moved with the wind, appearing like a celestial being traversing the heavens.
In an instant, we arrived at a valley with lush green grass and abundant vegetation. A waterfall cascaded down, its roar deafening, and water vapor filled the air, accompanied by the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers.
It truly is a blessed place for spiritual practice.
Just then, a woman's seductive laughter was heard: "Handsome monk, you neither kill me nor release me, what exactly do you want?"
A chilling voice suddenly rang out: "Demon, I need your help in my cultivation!"
"To help you in your cultivation?"
"If you can break my composure, then I'll let you go."
"Alright! I'll give it a try." The woman chuckled, her voice soft and sweet. "But I don't have much self-control. I'm afraid I'll lose my composure before you do." As she finished speaking, the sound of water arose, as if something was being swallowed or expelled.
"Hmm~, humph!" A cold, resolute voice sneered, "This humble monk has cultivated for a hundred years; how could I possibly be bewitched by a demon like you? I..."
Before he could finish speaking, the woman suddenly exclaimed, "Oh dear!"
"What are you doing?" a chilling voice demanded angrily.
The woman breathed softly, "Master's heart..." She lightly tapped her fingertips on the monk's robe, "beats so fast."
"Nonsense, nonsense!" Lin Ran shouted angrily.
The woman laughed even louder: "You've given up, and you've lost!" Her seductive laughter echoed throughout the valley.
"I won't lose to you!" Lin Ran's voice roared in fury, "You monster!"
Ding'an, who had been eavesdropping furtively from the mountaintop, was now completely bewildered.
He seemed not to believe his ears, quickly checking again before his eyes widened, he swallowed hard, and exclaimed, "My God! This monk is playing such fancy tricks?!"
Just then, a loud "boom" was heard, the air vibrated, rocks tumbled down, and the waterfall stopped flowing.
It was as if a great sun had risen from the foot of the mountain, with a bright red halo shooting out like an eerie bloodstain in the night, illuminating all directions in a strange and magnificent manner.
Ding An gazed at the strange light, a knowing look crossing his face: "He really is a philandering monk, his desires burning fiercely." He clicked his tongue in disapproval, "He's really been holding back for a long time!"
"Hmm?" Suddenly, a chilling voice roared, "What kind of monster dares to spy on us!"
boom!
These words were like a thunderclap, coming from below with a deafening roar.
A sliver of white cloud, like ocean waves, accompanied by thunder, stretched across the sky.
Suddenly, the white clouds parted like a curtain, and a monk stood on the cloud, his robes loose and his eyes glaring menacingly at them.
Ding An blinked and looked up.
Their eyes met, and they were both taken aback: "Wow, they look so alike!"
"Holy crap!" a woman's voice rang out, "You guys are playing such perverted games?"
Ding An stared intently and saw a naked, alluring woman in the monk's arms, baring her teeth and claws, twisting her waist.
Seeing Ding An looking at her, the woman angrily said, "You want me to serve two people?" She wrinkled her nose, grinned, and said, "You'll have to pay extra!"
The handsome monk's eyes widened, and he roared, "Demon!" He raised his hand to smash the woman to death.
"Hey, why are you so fierce?"
Suddenly, a figure flashed by, and Ding An leaped up, caught the woman in mid-air, drew a zigzag pattern, and landed back on the spot.
Once her feet were firmly on the ground, the woman let out a scream. Without thinking of anything else, she jumped up and yelled, "You damned monk! You fucked me and now you want to kill me? You're so heartless! Ouch!" She tripped and fell flat on her back.
She struggled to her feet but couldn't get up. Just as she was about to crawl forward, she felt a warmth in her hand. Ding An grabbed her arm and helped her up. He looked up at the handsome monk and said seriously, "You're backing out after you've already done your job. You're really shameless."
The monk Jun looked somewhat dazed, staring in surprise at his own palm, then at Ding An, who looked exactly like him, and said, "What exquisite fist techniques! Who are you?"
Ding An stood up, his black robe fluttering in the wind, and stared at the white-robed monk in the sky: "My name is Ding An, and yours is Ding An."
In an instant, the wind and clouds stirred, howling and rushing back and forth.
Two bald men were seen, one dressed in flowing white robes, standing on a cloud like a deity; the other in a black robe with wide sleeves, standing tall on the ground, exuding an imposing aura.
The woman looked left and right, up and down, and suddenly let out a long sigh, saying, "You two really aren't brothers or clones or anything like that?"
Upon hearing this, Ding An turned to look at her: "No."
The handsome monk also snorted coldly: "This humble monk is Fahai. How could I be on the same level as a demon like you?"
Ding An frowned and asked, "You frivolous monk, you keep calling me 'demon' this and 'demon' that when we meet, you really deserve a beating!" With a flick of his body, he disappeared from the spot.
brush!
Fahai felt a blur before his eyes, his body suddenly lost its balance, then his ankles tightened, and he was lifted up headfirst and slammed to the ground with a thud.
"Drink!"
Ding An increased the force in his hand, about to swing again, when he suddenly felt a strong cold wind behind his head, like needles pricking him. He turned his hand back to catch the object.
Suddenly, he felt his hand slip, and Fahai broke free from his grasp, kicking with his foot.
Bang bang bang!
Ding An trembled violently as several major acupoints, including Baihui, Shendao, Neiguan, Shenmen, Daling, Jianshi, and Xuanzhong, were hit.
The kick was incredibly fast, and the woman watching from the side stared in disbelief, feeling as if a thunderbolt had struck from the heavens.
The surrounding white clouds were blasted by the force of the energy, and dozens of white lines immediately appeared, resembling a spider web, creating a strange sight.
Fahai flipped and flew, landing gracefully. With a casual wave of his hand, the white net spread out, covering Ding'an.
The woman exclaimed in surprise, "Bald man, watch out!"
Before he could finish speaking, Ding An suddenly shouted, his expression changing drastically, and a terrifying purple light emanated from his body.
The woman froze instantly, then collapsed to the ground like a log with a thud.
Even with his profound skills, Fahai exclaimed "Ah!" and couldn't help but shudder, completely stunned.
But Ding'an broke free of the white net and cursed, "You wicked monk, you didn't just sleep with this lady!" He pointed at the woman, then at himself, "You even tried to kill a passerby like me!" He continued, "You are utterly lawless!"
The woman paused for a moment, then suddenly wailed, "Oh dear! Master Qingtang!" She flicked a snot at Fahai, "This bald monk slept with me and then called me a demon! You be the judge, is this how one cultivates?!" She stuck her tongue out at Fahai, "Even if you close your eyes, I still beat you!"
"That's right, that's right!" Ding'an slapped his thigh and shouted at Fahai, "What else do you have to say?"
The two cursed each other incessantly, but Fahai closed his eyes and stood motionless for a long time.
Suddenly, a weary voice seemed to rise from the horizon. At first, it was just a muttering to itself, and it was impossible to understand what it was saying. But the voice was indescribably anxious, as if it were recalling the past.
The sound gradually grew louder, carrying a faint sense of menace.
Ding An listened intently, and it was the Diamond Sutra, which he knew all too well.
Fahai repeatedly chanted: "If one seeks me through form or sound, that person walks a false path and cannot see the Tathagata."
At this moment, the mountain wind suddenly became fierce, howling through the forest and mountain crevices, mixed with the sound of chanting, as if countless demons of desire had gathered together, crying and laughing helplessly, desperately, and madly.
The fallen leaves were swept into the air, wildly sweeping over the monk, the demon, and the bald man present, swirling all over the sky.
When Fahai recited, "All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows, dew, and lightning; thus should they be viewed," he suddenly stopped, slowly raised his head, and grinned, revealing a cold, stern smile.
"A demon is a demon! It tempts all living beings and deserves punishment!"
Ding An's expression darkened. He slowly drew his eagle-blade and shouted, "Who is the demon?"
Fahai pointed at the woman, "She's a demon!" His fingertip then turned to Ding'an, "You're a demon too!"
With a whoosh, the eagle-blade in Ding'an's hand burst into flames: "Me too, you son of a bitch?"
“That’s right!” Fahai’s eyes were unfocused, yet a terrifying light shone from them. “You are a turtle demon.”
"Fuck your grandma!" Ding'an roared and slashed with his sword!
"Hmph!" Fahai sneered, "You dare to show off your meager skills before an expert?"
"Behold my six-syllable mantra! Old money, money back my home!"
His hands moved in a daze, forming a series of mudras—the Vajra Subduing Demon Mudra, the Marici Flame Mudra, and the Vairocana Buddha Mudra.
A burst of Buddha's light appeared from the edge of his palm, shimmering and radiating outwards, enveloping Ding'an.
