Chapter 24 Elevator Shock
Let's leave Yutian's body for now. We'll bury it in the suburbs a couple of days later when it's safe.

Director Tsugawa, with a hunched back, pushed a cart full of 'children's books' toward the elevator.

These children's books containing drugs need to be placed on the fourth floor, which is the children's reading area. It's safer to put them in the hidden compartment there.

In the afternoon, he was supposed to go to the children's reading area to check his bleach, but an uninvited guest was sitting there, preventing him from doing so.

I really don't understand why a man in his twenties would spend an afternoon in the children's reading area. That guy doesn't look mentally challenged. Even if he comes to the library, shouldn't he go to the literature section on the second floor?
The elevator doors opened, and Director Tsugawa pushed his cart inside.

After pressing the button for the fourth floor, he looked up and quietly gazed at the top of the elevator.

There was no foul smell or strange noise; the body should be able to stay for a few more days.

Yutian's wife came to the library earlier today to inquire, and I believe the other party will call the police soon.

It seems the body will have to stay on top of the elevator for a few more days until the police's attention is diverted from the library, at which point it can be disposed of.

Fortunately, the elevator was well-sealed, so the odor couldn't be carried down.

Ding.

The elevator reached the fourth floor, and the elevator doors slowly opened.

Just as Tsugawa was about to push his cart out, he saw a figure standing at the elevator entrance, staring straight at him.

The elevator lights illuminated the man's face: a brown suit, a blue tie, and a kind smile—the kind of person a fourth-floor children's librarian should be. Everything about him seemed so real.

"Manager, why didn't you let me know when the goods arrived? I could have gone down to help you. You're almost sixty years old, and bending over all the time can easily cause a herniated disc."

The other person's voice was clear, exactly the same as that of the man he killed yesterday, Yutian Kazuo. What was going on? Had the corpse come back to life?
He couldn't help but look up at the top of the elevator.

All that could be seen was the glaring overhead light; it was impossible to see if there were any signs that the ceiling had been pushed open.

Tsugawa didn't say anything; his clothes were already soaked with sweat.

The hand gripping the cart was trembling involuntarily.

It's Yutian? How could it be Yutian? Wasn't he dead?
Tsugawa's gaze unconsciously fell on Tamada's neck. He was the one who strangled Tamada; if the person in front of him was Tamada, his neck...
My gaze slid from the other person's face down to his neck, and I saw a purple lace mark encircling Yutian's neck, just above the tie.

The marks were purplish-red, with traces of blood still visible. This was the state the person was in when he carried them to the top of the elevator.

Yutian smiled and walked gracefully into the elevator, gently pressing the button for the first floor. "Director, why aren't you coming out? Did you forget something? I'll go down to the first floor to check for you."

This Tamada Kazuo was not a resurrected corpse, but rather Natsukawa in disguise.

He had overheard Tsugawa and Tequila's conversation clearly, and the two would not be in contact again for some time.

Since that's the case, then we can make a move against Tsugawa. Anyway, Tequila won't be contacting him again for the next few days.

Tsugawa must have been dealing with Tequila for a long time and should know a thing or two about it. We can take him back and torture him, and maybe we can get some other clues about the distillery.

The elevator doors closed slowly and began to descend.

Director Tsugawa remained stiff, staring straight ahead at the elevator doors.

However, the sweat trickling down his face indicated that he wasn't as calm as he had imagined.

Ding.

The elevator arrived at the first floor.

Director Tsugawa was startled by the sound of the elevator and his whole body trembled.

Xia Chuan chuckled and patted Director Jin Chuan's even more hunched shoulder. "Director, we've reached the first floor. Let's go check the entrance again to see if we forgot anything."

Director Tsugawa was so frightened that he finally couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed to the ground.

"W-who are you?"

His square face, resembling that of a large monkey, was as pale as paper, and his body trembled violently. He wanted to stand up and run away, but he had no strength to support himself.

"Director, are you alright? I told you not to lift things when you're old. You must have hurt your back."

As he spoke, Xia Chuan reached out to pull Jin Chuan, but was forcefully slapped away.

"You can't be Tamada, you can't be Tamada, Tamada, Tamada is dead!" Director Tsugawa ran out like a puppy, using both hands and feet.

Xia Chuan wasn't in a hurry; all the doors were closed, and there was no way to escape.

He casually pulled the cart along and slowly approached the other person under the dumbfounded gaze of the curator, Tsugawa.

"Don't come any closer!" Director Tsugawa shouted frantically, seemingly trying to attract the attention of people outside the library.

However, the library was very soundproof, and no one noticed the noise.

He's starting to regret it. He shouldn't have dismissed the security guards. If only he had some!
Xia Chuan squatted down in front of Director Jin Chuan, her expression shifting from a smile to blank in just one second. "Director, it's so hot up in the elevator, my neck hurts so much."

His pale face was filled with pain, his eyes were bloodshot, and his voice was exactly the same as Tamada Kazuo's.

Tsugawa felt a chill run down his spine; his already sparse hair stood on end. "It's all your fault! You're too greedy! How could I possibly give you fifty million? In the past two years, I've barely earned a hundred million. And you want half of that all at once? Of course I can't give it to you!"

Jinchuan began to wail, his expression pained and pitiful. He knelt on the ground and began to kowtow to Xiachuan, "Don't worry, go in peace. I... I will give your wife a lot of money, fifty million. I will send fifty million to your house tomorrow, no, tonight, I will send it right away."

As he spoke, he was about to stand up. The ground was wet, and Xia Chuan frowned. This old man either had diabetes or high uric acid. He smelled terrible.

Okay, I can't scare them anymore.

If they're so scared they poop out, how are we supposed to interrogate them?

Xia Chuan stepped forward and delivered a karate chop to the neck of Director Tsugawa. Director Tsugawa collapsed to the ground without uttering a sound.

After throwing the unconscious curator Tsugawa onto a trolley, Natsukawa went straight to the back door.

"I have arrived."

He spoke into his headset, and the back door opened, revealing a truck parked in front.

Frank stood at the door and waved the remote control in his hand.

A gust of wind blew by, and his face instantly fell.

"Peeed?"

Xia Chuan nodded.

Frank: "."

"You shouldn't have scared him, it's disgusting."

He cursed Xia Chuan for being boring, but his actions didn't stop.

Open the cargo compartment of the truck.

Enduring the smell, the two threw all the drugs and Tsugawa into the container.

Then he drove away.

The library's back door slowly closed after the two left.

The elevator remained silently stopped on the first floor. At the top, Yu Tian and the man's corpses still lay with their mouths wide open, but the stench was intensifying due to the temperature. It was likely that the smell would be noticed in a few days.

Of course, the first thing to be noticed should be the smell of urine in the lobby.

However, no one should be able to catch the culprit, because Director Tsugawa had dismissed the security guards in advance and turned off the only surveillance camera in the lobby. Even if Conan came, he wouldn't be able to find anything.

The truck drove into Frank's villa garage.

Xia Chuan quickly got out of the passenger seat, covered his nose, and was about to leave.

He still has the face of Yutian Kazuo, and his pinched nose is pulled into a strange arc.

The only downside to disguise masks is that if someone pulls on your face, they can stretch it out. Although it will bounce back, it will definitely scare people to death.

"Cool!"

Pulling the mask off my face, the feeling of my skin coming into direct contact with the air was extremely refreshing.

Although the disguise mask is very well made, its breathability is really not good. Wearing it for a long time will make your face feel uncomfortable.

"Hey, where are you going?"

Just as Xia Chuan was about to leave the villa, he heard Frank shouting behind him.

"It's eight o'clock, time to go back and nurse the baby."

Xia Chuan waved his hand, saying that being a stay-at-home dad isn't so easy.

Furthermore, he did not want to interrogate Tsugawa.

If I didn't need to pee, I might listen to what the other person knows, but right now... sorry, not interested!

Frank spat, but there was nothing he could do about Xia Chuan.

Moreover, he was the one who took on the IRS commission, so there was no other way but to endure some hardship.

Xia Chuan is quite resourceful. I don't know where he got the information, but he actually knows that the brewery is active in Japan. It's only been about half a month, but he has already obtained a lot of information about the brewery.

Things are moving in a positive direction.

The taste is getting worse.
"Disgusting! You son of a bitch, Xia Chuan, it's all your fault."
