Chapter 393 Fated Encounter

Gin jumped and quickly hid behind a tree, his face showing a mix of emotions. He had just crouched down when he was discovered. When did Shuichi Akai's observation skills become so sharp?
"What did you want to say?"

Gin suddenly remembered that Tequila seemed to have something to say to him.

“I was thinking, this spot has been spotted, and the person who fired the shot should be Shuichi Akai. Do you want to move to another spot?”

Xia Chuan licked his lips. This wasn't his fault; it was Gin who had just plopped down without thinking twice.

Gin:
The wound on his shoulder didn't seem to have hit the bone, and Gin simply stopped the bleeding and left it alone.

"Bourbon, draw Shuichi Akai's attention. I need three seconds."

He only needs three seconds to lie down, lock onto the target, aim, and fire. Gaining three seconds to deal with Bourbon shouldn't be too difficult.

Amuro Tooru was naturally pleased with the idea and nodded, saying, "No problem!"

Shuichi Akai, who was crouching on a large tree, frowned.

Did I just hit Gin? Wasn't that place originally tequila?
Never mind, as long as it hits, that's good enough.

Unfortunately, the opponent appeared too suddenly, and he didn't have time to aim accurately, so it seems that he only hit the shoulder.

Shuichi Akai was savoring the feeling of hitting Gin when a bullet whizzed past his ear.

The branch snapped instantly!

Shuichi Akai's heart tightened, and in the brief moment of his distraction, he was given an opportunity.

Fortunately, the other party was using a pistol. At this distance, the accuracy and stability of the bullets were reduced; otherwise, the shot might not have grazed his ear and hit the tree branch.

Shuichi Akai dodged behind a tree trunk, used it for cover, jumped down, and climbed up another tree.

Puppet Ridge has nothing but lots of trees!
"Shuichi, the fire is getting bigger and bigger, we have to hurry! Create some distance and let 'Cobra' use its machine gun to sweep the area!"

Judy roared as the forest fire drew ever closer, the scorching heat soaking through the agents' clothes and making their guns increasingly hot to the touch.

The Apache's explosion created a massive fire that spread outwards, with scattered fires igniting trees elsewhere. From the sky, orange-red circles could be seen expanding.

The battleground between the FBI and the distillery lies in the gaps between these circles, and now the space for maneuver is gradually shrinking.

Especially at the distillery, there were many people and not enough space, and several members on the perimeter without cover were targeted by concentrated fire.

If this continues, both sides will likely perish in the flames before a decisive battle is achieved.

"No! The probability of hitting the target with high-altitude strafing is too low, and the distance is too close, which could easily injure our own people."

"The key point! This is a rare opportunity, we absolutely cannot let it pass by hastily. He must personally end Gin's life!"

Shuichi Akai tightened his grip on the sniper rifle and re-aimed at it.

At the winery.

Gin glared at Bourbon, telling him to cover for him, but he ended up beating Bourbon so badly that Bourbon didn't dare to show his face. Who the hell can you reason with this guy?
If you call Bourbon an idiot, he was such a good shot; if he had a sniper rifle, he might have hit him in the head. But if you say Bourbon wasn't stupid, why didn't he aim a little higher?

Now look what's happened, we have to reposition ourselves again!
And the fire was so big.

"Brother, why don't you take off your black robe first?"

Xia Chuan had wanted to say this for a long time: wearing a black robe in the summer is one thing, but now that we're surrounded by flames, the temperature has already exceeded forty degrees Celsius. It's not like we're in a sauna, is it?

Even he had taken off his black suit.

Does Gin have something shameful hidden under his clothes? Like, are his pectoral muscles a D cup?

Huh.
What am I even thinking?

Xia Chuan shook his head, glanced at Gin with his long, flowing hair, and his expression grew increasingly strange. "No need!"

Gin glanced down at his soaked clothes, waved his hand dismissively, and quickly ran off to another spot.

This position has been exposed. If Shuichi Akai changes positions, he will have to change positions as well. A good sniper is one who frequently changes positions.

Amuro Tooru holstered his gun and stepped back, moving with Natsukawa in the opposite direction of the fire.

"Where's Chianti?" Amuro Tooru asked casually.

"Uh..." Natsukawa was taken aback. Amuro Tooru hadn't asked, and he really couldn't remember this guy.

If I remember correctly, the direction Chianti fell from seems to be the same direction the three surviving CIA agents left in.

Thinking of those muscular CIA hunks, Xia Chuan couldn't help but shudder for Chianti.

"She should be in heaven by now!"

"Dead?" Amuro Tooru's brows relaxed slightly. The death of the codenamed member was a good thing, but it was a pity that Louis hadn't appeared after fighting for so long.

It's strange that the police haven't shown up yet, and it's unclear whether Yuri succeeded.

Starting yesterday, all communication devices of the personnel who came to Puppet Ridge were confiscated, even though he only arrived today.

However, upon arrival, their communication equipment was confiscated, and with signal jamming, they were unable to contact the police at all.

In his anxiety, all he could think of was to hold back on the battlefield. He never expected Yuri to be so perceptive and discover that this was a trap.

"Whether they live or die is unknown, but they must be having the time of their lives."

Neither Natsukawa nor Amuro Tooru revealed their identities, but they knew each other's backgrounds, so they spoke quite casually.

"The police haven't shown up yet; we don't know if they've discovered the organization's plan."

Xia Chuan tentatively asked, "Where do you think those police officers are?"

"I don't know." Amuro Tooru shrugged.

"Ok."

Xia Chuan calmed down and thought about it. Under these circumstances, Yuri should not choose to get close no matter what, so it's not a big problem.

Moreover, he had secretly prepared a backup plan, so even if something went wrong, he would most likely be able to save Yuri's life.

Louis, on the other hand, must have left. Otherwise, given such a commotion, he would have surely come to check it out.

As the number of people on both sides decreased, the area available for hiding shrank, and the battlefield began to move outward from the fire.

At this point, the "cobra" had absolutely no chance of getting close.

The temperature difference created by the flames caused the air pressure to be very unstable, and coupled with the sudden strong wind, Cameron on the Cobra could only stare helplessly at high altitude.

He also noticed red lights flickering on the mountain road not far away.

"Shuichi, the Japanese fire department seems to be arriving at the scene soon. Once there are too many people, the Black Organization will probably retreat. We really don't have much time left!"

"Shasha. I understand."

Shuichi Akai quickened his pace, wielding the sniper rifle with effortless ease, and hit two outer members on the moving target.

As they moved, through a gap in the tree trunk, Shuichi Akai spotted Gin, who was also running away from the fire.

The two seemed to have a telepathic connection, or perhaps it was a fateful encounter, as they looked into each other's eyes and headed in the same direction away from the fire zone.
