Fear of food
Chapter 78 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 78 Remarks on the launch
Many authors no longer write author's notes when their books are published, but I will, because I talk a lot.
This book will be available at 10 a.m. tomorrow, possibly a minute or two later.
I will update 10,000 words at once.
If the initial subscription reaches 2,000, I will add two more chapters.
Please subscribe, please subscribe again, please vote with monthly tickets!
I would say I'm an author who likes to change things up, or rather, a self-destructive author. I never delve deeply into one theme; I write a book and then switch to a different theme.
The first book, "No One Can Break My Losing Streak!", was an invincible novel. The later book, "Evolution Starting from Clones", was a science fiction novel with a leveling-up and monster-fighting theme. The previous book, "I Cultivate Immortality by Relying on Length", was a lighthearted and joyful Xianxia novel.
This time, the scope is even wider, as they're venturing into the food-themed writing category.
Fortunately, despite his constant recklessness, he never died, and his grades kept getting better and better.
But this time I really didn't want to do anything reckless. I had the idea for this book, "Fear of Food," at the beginning of last year, but I didn't plan to write it this time.
It's not for any other reason than that I lack confidence.
I lack confidence in my writing skills and am not confident that I can write it well. I don't want to waste this idea. Originally, I planned to write one or two more books to improve myself before starting this book, "Fear of Food".
But the opening of my lighthearted family cultivation novel, which I spent a month preparing, was ruthlessly rejected by the editor. The rejection was thorough: "What kind of hook stone is this?!"
So I gritted my teeth and said: You editor, I'll show you what my imagination is like!
Therefore, this book, "Food Fear," has been released to the public ahead of schedule.
As it turns out, my current writing skills are indeed insufficient to handle this book, and I have made quite a few mistakes, both big and small, in the writing process (I will be more careful in the future).
This is directly reflected in the data. The book performs very well in all aspects, including the number of favorites, monthly tickets, comments, and recommendations, which are all quite good compared to other books published around the same time.
Only the most important tracking number has been decreasing instead of increasing since more than half a month ago, which is completely inconsistent with my collection number.
So I have a feeling that tomorrow's first-order figures might not be very good.
However, regardless of the circumstances, this book has far exceeded my expectations, receiving every possible recommendation during the new book season. Previously unattainable opportunities like secondary strong recommendations, public announcements, and the Three Rivers Awards have all come in full swing.
So cool!
All of this wouldn't have been possible without the support of all my brothers and sisters for this book. Thank you all for reading, voting, and giving me tips! I have no way to repay you, so I'll start by bowing three times to you: thump thump thump!
I feel somewhat guilty towards my editor-in-chief, Wutong. He fought for recommendations for me when my first round of recommendations failed, read my book aloud, patiently discussed the plot and ideas with me, and helped me revise unsuitable recommendation entries... He gave me a lot of comfort and encouragement. You could say he had high hopes for me... But I failed him; despite receiving so many recommendations, my performance actually declined.
I know many readers are waiting for this book to finish, and I sincerely beg everyone to support me with a first-day subscription so that my first-day subscription numbers look better. Otherwise, I really won't be able to face the boss, Wutong (crying).
I know that the reading experience of this book may not be very good, which is why many readers are saving it up and will probably wait until it's officially released before reading it.
However, subscription data after the product is launched is also very important. Poor subscription data can lead to not being featured in subsequent recommendations and may even affect the perfect attendance bonus.
My previous book, "I Cultivate Immortality by Relying on Length," clearly achieved a high average subscription rate of 4,000, but because of poor follow-up subscriptions, it never made it onto any bestseller lists from beginning to end, and it never received a single major recommendation. It was truly tragic!
So I implore the godfathers who support this book to enable automatic subscription. You can always trust the character of this struggling author and don't have to worry about me abandoning the book.
My previous three books had initial subscriptions of 370, 220, and 650 respectively, and I completed them all on schedule. This book is bound to do much better than my previous three books, so I will definitely treat it like a precious treasure and write it well; there's no way I'll abandon it.
For those who don't want to recharge, you can also go to the welfare center to watch the ads. You get 50 free chapter cards every day, which can be used to subscribe to 1 words, enough to follow two books.
Authors can still receive royalties by subscribing with free chapter cards.
I just tap it a few times while brushing my teeth every morning. By the time I'm done brushing, I've got 50 points. I don't even look at the ads.
Now let's talk about the update.
Readers who came from my previous books should know that I usually release ten chapters on the first day of release, but this time it was a bit of an exception.
When I started writing this book, I had sixty or seventy thousand words of drafts saved up. But when I got halfway through, I felt that there were big problems with the later drafts, so I revised them every day. Later, I found that the revisions were useless, so I just rewrote them all, which made all my drafts unusable.
Starting from the part about the time I was discharged from the hospital, I wrote and posted everything on the spot.
So I won't be able to release ten chapters this time, but I will try my best to update more in the future.
Although I write slowly, I sleep very little!
