"Two o'clock in the afternoon, in the clouds. I want to see you."

With one last reluctant glance at her phone, Su Li hurriedly put her makeup powder and phone back into her bag before the elevator doors swiped open. Lightly, she stepped out of the elevator and into the Friday Night Sky Lounge, "Cloud Lounge."

Through the sloping curtain wall, the bright, clear afternoon sunlight of winter spilled evenly onto the carpet embroidered with stars representing the four seasons. Su Li stepped on it, feeling its warmth and softness mirroring her own mood.

No wonder she was in such a good mood. A short two weeks had passed since New Year's Day, but her relationship with Gu Mufeng had become increasingly complicated.

In particular, when he doesn't act like an emotional person, these subtle emotional shifts become even more pronounced.

Su Li gently touched the dent where the scab had receded from her throat. In the nights that followed, Gu Mufeng felt as if he had found the only person to warm him on a dark mountaintop. He and she nestled close together, sheltering in his eagle's nest.

Love does not lie.

Although Su Li was extremely apprehensive about his love, Gu Mufeng became increasingly gentle and permissive towards her. This finally allowed her to gradually emerge from her shell and slowly try to be herself. However, after years of habitually flattering him, this was not easy.

Moreover, she seemed to have some kind of tacit approval from Gu Mufeng, allowing her to come and go freely in his life.

Su Li often thinks of him and misses him, wishing she could see him at the end of each day. Finally, Gu Mufeng has completely integrated into her life and occupied a place in it.

Whether in spirit or flesh, Su Li had already tasted the sweetness of his love.

Are they still considered to be in a sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship?

Clearly, her bank account says yes.

But her heart and his heart...

Su Li looked out and saw that the afternoon lounge was pleasant and comfortable, with the white marble ceiling stretching out like clouds, and only a few scattered guests chatting in the distance.

Behind the central bar not far away, the proprietress, Lulu, smiled warmly and waved to her:
"Pear Blossom's here? How's university? Come tell me, has anything fun happened lately?"

Su Li's close relationship with Gu Mufeng led her to become friends with Lulu, the proprietress of Yunjian, as if they were naturally compatible.

Su Li went to the bar. She figured Gu Mufeng wouldn't mind waiting a few more minutes for her.
"Fun things? Does staying up all night writing papers count?" Su Li smiled, "This semester is about to end, and college students are still overwhelmed by papers."

"A thesis, huh? That's great. So what do you want to write about? Have you decided yet? If you're too bored in the library, come write it here with me."

As usual, Lulu made Su Li a cherry Martini, resting her chin on her hands at the bar, smiling longingly.

"Hmm, I think I'll write 'The Lasting Influence of the Moors on European Post-Judgment Architecture'."

At this moment, Su Li recalled the Moorish Alhambra Palace: there, in a foreign land, there were violet sunsets, white crescent moons, and his arms that steadfastly reached out to her.

"Hold on tight."

Until he took her hand, held it to his heart, and personally handed over his sword of Damocles.

With her pearly white teeth clenched around the stem of a bright red, wine-stained cherry, Su Li's cheeks flushed slightly.
"Oh, Sister Lulu, I haven't thanked you for your financial support last time when you commissioned me to design the entryway."

Hearing Su Li say this in such a serious tone, Lulu, who was casually tidying up the bar, couldn't help but burst out with a sweet laugh:
"What 'financial support'? That sounds weird. You earn it yourself through your own abilities. Doesn't the client pay for the design? I rarely get to be a client who keeps their word."

"Wow, Xiaoli, did you hand-draw these renderings yourself? My entryway looks so beautiful!"

Su Li and Lulu were chatting and laughing around the renderings on their phones. Just then, Welsh, dressed in a jet-black suit and leather shoes, appeared out of nowhere, like a dark cloud.

He stopped a few steps behind the two of them: "Miss Su."

With his exceptionally tall and imposing stature, Welsh seemed unusually reserved today.

"The boss has instructed you to come to his office. He has an urgent matter that requires his personal attention and will be back immediately."

Su Li nodded. Gu Mufeng was always busy, but he never stood her up. She said a brief goodbye to Lulu and set a deadline for submitting the manuscript. With light steps, Su Li followed Welsh to the office behind the lounge.

She had barely stepped inside when Welsh closed the door and left behind her. She was now alone in the office.

This was Su Li's first time here.

Compared to the private room where she was "confined" by Gu Mufeng last time, this office was really small and didn't directly face the sun.

Facing you, outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the Parrot River, like a shimmering ribbon of light, makes a wide bend here. Cargo ships drift leisurely, alternating between sunlight and the shadows of tall buildings.

The room was covered with a pure black wool carpet and black walnut wood wall panels, which made Su Li feel gloomy and heavy. But through the half-open curtains, the room was filled with a stagnant afternoon haze that made her feel at peace.

At the far end of the room stood only a simple, spacious desk. On its spotless, gleaming surface, a half-empty cognac glass lay scattered, and white documents lay flat. The black leather office chair was now empty, turned to one side, just as it had been when he had hurriedly left.

Su Li thought to herself: Is Gu Mufeng usually here, manipulating the entire gray world?

Sitting in the sofa chair, Su Li waited patiently, quietly recalling Gu Mufei. Before she knew it, more than half an hour had passed.

He had never made her wait this long before.

Perhaps things were tricky. Su Li thought it best not to disturb him rashly.

Feeling bored while waiting, Su Li got up and began to look around: Perhaps his office was like a bedroom, with a whole wall of books for her to pass the time?
Her gaze searched for any trace of the wall cabinet, her eyes glancing casually across it. But the white documents on the table were too striking, immediately capturing her attention.

Although it was blurry, Su Li hesitated: Wasn't that a photo of her mother?

Without thinking twice, in a few steps, before she even realized it, she was already hunched over Gu Mufeng's desk, intently studying his work:

Name: Su Yan

Gender: Female
age……

This is a very detailed report, with her occupation, education, marriage, children, and even her mother's reclusive lifestyle habits all laid out on the paper, leaving nothing out.

For a moment, Su Li was completely stunned, and she lay on the table, frozen in place.

She knew that Gu Mufeng collected and used intelligence, but what about her mother?
Su Li frowned. She didn't understand.

At that moment, shock overwhelmed everything. Forgetting all her usual calculations and caution, Su Li instinctively picked up her mother's report. Beneath it lay another document. The same format, but seemingly much thicker.

The photo at the beginning of the report looked even more familiar to Su Li:
Name: Su Li

Gender: Female
age……

The content is almost identical, or even more detailed.

Su Li, her entire twenty-four years of life. Her personal experiences, personality traits, lifestyle, even the teacher she harassed when she was fourteen, his name and whereabouts.

Even details about her being materialistic, the specific names and family backgrounds of her ex-boyfriends, how she befriended them, and how she used them before breaking up with them.

Her hobbies and inclinations are all meticulously recorded.

It was like a shadow, always by her side, sharing her fate, yet her own breath suddenly stabbed her in the chest, each blow fatal.

Completely out of habit, her fingers mechanically, Su Li read through the pages one by one. The turned pages fell to the ground like snowflakes. Her mind was completely blank.

Before she knew it, she realized that she only had a thin piece of paper left in her hand.

She had already flipped to the end of the report.

The clean, sharp, white paper sat in her cold, stiff hands. At the very bottom of the report's presenter's page, two lines of deep blue-gold ink, the penmanship sharp and piercing, stood out starkly.

Her flowing, elegant calligraphy, coupled with her emotionless tone,...

She knew it all too well:

"She likes good looks and money. Get close to her, bribe her, seduce her, use her. The mother is more valuable than the daughter."

Suddenly, Su Li felt a void in her heart.

The last page of paper fluttered down from her hand. Her eyes were already blurred with tears.
