Chapter 15 The Beast God is Enraged—

"Stop pretending! It's you!" Sang Jie glared at Fu Ying, her disgust evident in her eyes, as if she believed Fu Ying was the culprit behind this farce.

Fuying looked completely innocent, her brows furrowed, and her eyes filled with tears of grievance.

Immediately afterwards, she waved her hand, pointed at Sang Jie, her voice trembling as if she had suffered a great injustice: "It wasn't me, it was you! You must be afraid that I will expose what you have done, so you deliberately framed me!"

Sang Jie sneered, ignoring Fu Ying's words, and looked at Mo Yan instead: "You're looking for her, aren't you?"

Mo Yan had visited the Half-Mountain Tribe before, but there had never been any problems. If there was any accident, it was this female brought back by Green Mountain. It must be her fault!
Fu Ying thought to himself, "This silkworm beastman is quite clever; he's got a good brain."

Mo Yan tilted his large, triangular head, his voice carrying a hint of hostility: "Expose Sang Jie's actions?"

Fu Ying seemed to perk up and immediately shouted, "I heard it all yesterday at Thorn Cliff! The witch had Green Mountain killed because of the mermaid tail skirt in Green Mountain's possession! She knows I know the truth and is targeting me specifically. Don't think I don't know; you want to send both Green Mountain and me to the Cangshan tribe as tribute!"

These words immediately stirred up a huge storm in the Banshan tribe.

The beastmen whispered among themselves, their faces filled with shock and confusion.

Everyone knew that Green Mountain possessed a shimmering mermaid tail skirt, but the witch wanted to kill him for that very reason?
The chatter in the tribe was incessant.

However, Sang Jie, the instigator, remained calm, as if he were an outsider.

On the other hand, Green Mountain nearly fainted, her eyes rolled back. If Meng hadn't been supporting her, she would have wanted to dig a hole and crawl into it.

She's a deer-beastman, and she's not exactly a daring person. Exposing Sang Jie in front of so many people will only bring trouble upon herself!
"Green Mountain! Is what this little female is saying true?" The chieftain's voice was deep and angry, his eyes wide open.

Green Mountain opened his mouth, about to speak, when he heard Sang Jie sneer: "Chief, can you really believe the words of a strange female? Given my status in the tribe, do I need to snatch the mermaid tail skirt from Green Mountain?"

She paused, her voice growing even colder: "And when have you ever seen me wear a mermaid tail skirt?"

The discussion abruptly stopped, and the beastmen's gaze fell upon Fuying once more.

They naturally trusted the witch more than an ugly, unfamiliar female.

Of all the people present, only Mo Yan knew the truth.

He glanced at Sang Jie indifferently. The matter of the mermaid tail skirt was insignificant to him. He only wanted to know whether the female in front of him was the one who had played tricks on him last night.

Thinking of this, Mo Yan's thick waist suddenly arched, like a powerful bow ready to be drawn. His triangular head was raised high, and his huge mouth slowly opened, revealing a poisoned arrow that was ready to be fired.

Fu Ying's relaxed brows furrowed instantly. She was speechless. She was here revealing the truth, arguing her case, and giving the public a great truth, and Mo Yan was about to take action?
Her eyes were half-closed, and a cold glint flashed deep within them.

So what if you're a six-star patterned orc?
Relying on their superior numbers, they acted unreasonably, trying to stand up for their lovers, showing no martial ethics, right?

Fine, even if my identity is exposed, I'll beat you up!
Mo Yan keenly caught the fleeting coldness in Fu Ying's eyes, and his heart suddenly stirred.

His bloodshot eyes were fixed on Fuying, his gaze filled with ferocity and scrutiny.

A low, cold laugh escaped his throat.

That familiar feeling came back last night.

Just as Fu Ying was eager to make a move, Mo Yan unexpectedly turned around, his huge snake body quickly shrinking back to human form in the blink of an eye.

He was tall and slender, like a javelin, with his scarlet eyes fixed intently on Fuying.

Rather than killing the person, he preferred to find them and keep them as pets. An invisible orc could be very useful if necessary.

After a moment, Mo Yan curled his lips, stepped forward, and leaned closer to Fu Ying, saying, "Are you the tribute from the Banshan tribe this time?"

As he spoke, he squinted slightly, his nostrils flared, and began to carefully sniff the scent on Fuying's body.

He had been hoping to catch a whiff of familiarity, but the stench around him was like an impenetrable wall, shutting out all other smells.

Mo Yan frowned; enveloped in the pungent stench, he couldn't smell anything.

Sang Jie stood aside, witnessing the seemingly intimate scene between Mo Yan and Fu Ying. Her heart was burning with jealousy, and her hands unconsciously clenched into fists, her nails digging deep into her palms, but she was completely unaware of it.

She really couldn't understand why this ugly female could attract Mo Yan's attention so much.

Fu Ying felt Mo Yan approaching, her lips twitched, and a sense of unease welled up inside her. She silently took a step back without making a sound.

The people in their "extinction optimization department" are very picky and can't accept everything.

Fu Ying glanced at Mo Yan, about to speak to break the awkward situation, when suddenly her beady eyes narrowed, she turned her head sharply, her gaze like lightning, quickly scanning her surroundings.

"Rumble--"

A deafening roar erupted without warning, like a thunderclap from a clear sky, making the eardrums of the surrounding orcs ache, as if they were about to be torn apart by the force of the impact.

Immediately afterwards, the earth began to shake violently.

In the caves of the Banshan tribe, years of accumulated dust fell in wisps, like a fine gray rain.

The birds that had been roosting in the forest were startled by this sudden change, emitting sharp, piercing cries. They flapped their wings and flew into the air, circling for a long time before daring not to come down.

The wild animals in the mountains were thrown into disarray, fleeing in all directions in a panic.

Upon seeing this, the surrounding beastmen turned deathly pale, and fear quickly spread through the crowd.

In the midst of the chaos, someone shouted at the top of their lungs, "The Beast God is enraged—"

This shout acted like a fuse, instantly igniting the fear of the beastmen. In a flash, screams and cries mingled together, plunging the entire mountain tribe into chaos and panic.

"The Beast God is angry?" Fu Ying stood firmly in place, his face full of confusion.

She looked up and around, only to see flying sand and stones, and a scene of utter devastation. She thought to herself, "This looks like an earthquake, doesn't it? What does it have to do with the Beast God's anger?"
In such a chaotic and upheaval scene, even the cold, domineering, and arrogant Mo Yan's face darkened, his eyes revealed vigilance, and his flamboyant aura subtly subsided in the face of this sudden turn of events.

"Mo Yan! The Beast God is enraged!" Sang Jie was already pale as a sheet, her fear overwhelming her like a surging tide.

Her legs went weak, and she could barely stand. She staggered toward Mo Yan, desperately seeking refuge by his side.

However, Mo Yan waved his arm and pushed Sang Jie away without any mercy.

Sang Jie stumbled and nearly fell to the ground, her face full of astonishment and grievance.

Mo Yan, however, paid no attention to her at this moment. Instead, he quickly reached out and grabbed Fu Ying's arm tightly, as if Fu Ying was the only person he cared about in this chaos.
