Chapter 64 Flowers, the Binding Marks Bound Me
When Teng returned, he brought back a lot of prey, mostly herbivores.

He handed the cleaned, snow-white animal hide to Fuying, his dark green eyes full of flattery: "Huahua..."

Fu Ying pursed her lips, pulled Teng's hand and sat him down at the table. She pulled off the animal skin covering him, and looking at the bloody mess on his neck, her face darkened slightly: "I saved you, only for you to treat yourself like this?"

Teng's face was pale, and she asked cautiously, "Are you angry?"

Fuying released his grip and stared coldly at Teng.

Teng's fingertips trembled slightly as she gently climbed onto Fuying's wrist and lightly grasped it.

His crimson lips parted several times, finally letting out a hissing breath: "I..."

As his Adam's apple bobbed, the bloody, mangled mark on his neck trembled slightly. Teng's voice suddenly lowered, and upon closer listening, it even carried a hint of sob: "To touch you with such filthy markings, I feel... disgusted."

Fu Ying: "..."

She looked at the stubborn Teng with complicated emotions, and took out some medicine powder to sprinkle on his wound.

"Do you hate Fuying that much?"

As Teng watched her profile as she bent down to apply medicine to herself, his tense shoulders and back finally relaxed.

His dark green vertical pupils widened slightly, and the red around his eyes still lingered. His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and his voice was low and hoarse, almost gentle: "In the past... seeking revenge against Fu Ying was the only force that kept me alive."

Teng paused, gently pressing his forehead against the back of her hand, his breath trembling slightly: "But now... there's something more important in my life."

"Flowers, the patterns bind me."

“A female like Fuying, even if she doesn’t die by my hand, she will die by someone else’s hand.”

"I'm starting to get scared. I'm afraid I'll suffer the backlash from the insignia and won't be able to stay with you forever."

Teng's mutterings made Fuying pause slightly.

She looked down at Teng and whispered, "You don't want to kill her anymore?"

Teng's dark green eyes suddenly turned crimson, filled with sinister ruthlessness, but ultimately softened into gentleness: "Killing her will kill me. I don't want to die with her. I only want to be with you now."

Fu Ying let out a soft sigh, hooked her fingertips under Teng's chin, stared at him intently for a long time, and said, "This mark is a part of you, and I like it just as much."

The next moment, Fu Ying pressed his lips against Teng's ear, brushing against the tip of his ear: "If I see you gouge out your talisman again and hurt yourself, I'll kiss every single spot where the talisman was, understand?"

Teng stared blankly at Fuying, then suddenly chuckled, her dark green eyes like a crescent moon: "Alright."

Fu Ying patted Teng's head: "Good boy."

She turned to look at the prey scattered on the ground and said, "Shall we have hot pot today?"

"Hot pot?" Teng looked puzzled.

Fuying stepped forward, picked up the prey, and said, "Just wait, you don't need to do anything."

Teng snatched it away, his handsome face full of seriousness: "No! The male's responsibility is to feed the female. Just tell me what you want to eat, and I will make it and feed it to you."

And so, Fuying became a "useless" person who had everything done for her.

She sat to the side and gave instructions. Teng was quite talented in cooking. Soon, the pot was bubbling with fiery red spicy broth. Smelling the familiar aroma, Fuying almost cried. Luckily, she had brought hot pot base!
"Achoo—Achoo—" Teng Leng's pale skin turned bright red from the spiciness of the hot pot, but he didn't leave the stove for even a moment. However, looking at the bubbling, fiery red broth, he hesitated: "This...is this really edible?"

"Of course!" Fu Ying nodded emphatically; she had been waiting for this for far too long.

Seeing her eagerness, Teng's brows relaxed, and the rising steam from the pot softened his features, making him look even more gentle: "Then eat more, so that the baby in your belly can grow up well."

This fatherly tone almost made Fuying choke.

Her eyes flickered slightly as she asked, "Teng, is there no way to break the bonds on the Beastman Continent?" Then, fearing the sensitive snake-beastman might misunderstand, she quickly added, "Don't misunderstand, I'm just curious. After all, Fu Ying has harmed so many males. Are they all destined to risk their lives to kill Fu Ying and avenge themselves? Wouldn't that be too unfair? Can't we break the bonds before taking action?"

Teng's previously tense jaw relaxed slightly, and her dark green eyes held a gentle warmth.

He shook his head, his deep voice tinged with sarcasm: "On the Beastman Continent, only females can break a partnership contract, but no female would do so, because if she does, she will be the one who suffers the consequences."

"Does the markings also restrict females?" Fu Ying was slightly surprised; she really didn't know that.

Teng nodded slightly: "When a female initiates the break of the bond, it means abandonment, which tramples on the male's dignity and life. The male who is broken will be branded as abandoned and will never be accepted by a female again."

He raised his hand and touched the mark-like scar on his neck, his voice icy: "Females are naturally favored by the Beast God. Without restraint, they would wantonly play with and abandon males."

After hearing this, Fu Ying understood and nodded, saying, "So, at least after breaking the bond, the male won't be bound by the bond markings. Even if the female dies, the male won't be affected!"

Upon hearing this, Teng curled her lips and sneered, "A female like Fuying is selfish and self-serving; she would never break the bond."

"Alright, stop thinking about it. Fuying was taken away by Danyue, and she may be hiding on some small island. Her beast husbands can no longer transform into beast form and are on the verge of death. Perhaps she will continue to hide and no one will be able to find her."

"Eat something, you must be hungry."

As she spoke, Teng looked up at Fuying, her eyes filled with tenderness.

Fu Ying nodded, picked up a piece of meat with her chopsticks, dipped it in sesame sauce, and took a bite. It was delicious!

The meat of wild beasts in the Orcish Continent is chewy, firm, and filling.

However, since becoming pregnant, Fu Ying has had a huge appetite. In no time, she had eaten all the meat of a herbivore. Even so, Teng nagged her for most of the day, complaining that she didn't eat enough.

"You should try some too." Fuying picked up a piece of meat with her chopsticks and fed it to Teng.

"Hiss—" The scalding spiciness shot up to the tip of her tongue, and Teng's pale face instantly flushed with a light red. Her dark green pupils were covered with a layer of shimmering water, and even the corners of her eyes were tinged with a vibrant color.

Fu Ying chuckled, then suddenly leaned in and kissed his burning lips.

She joked, "It has to be my Teng, even a bite of hot pot tastes delicious!"

When Mo Yan reached the entrance of the cave, he smelled a spicy aroma in the air. He frowned and walked in, and heard Fu Ying's smiling voice and Teng's ambiguous soft hiss.

His face darkened, his crimson pupils contracted, and his eyes were filled with a sinister displeasure.

Teng suddenly turned to look at the cave entrance and said coldly, "Since when have you taken to eavesdropping?"

Mo Yan strolled lazily into the cave, a playful smile on his wicked face.

He slowly examined Teng, a meaningful smile curving his lips: "Brother, congratulations, you actually have a day when you can regain your strength."

Teng didn't even lift his eyelids, his voice as cold as ice: "Finished?"

Mo Yan shrugged, bent down slightly, and glanced at the spicy hot pot with his narrow eyes: "I'm here to deliver a message. Someone from outside the tribe has come specifically to see you."

"Looking for me?" Teng frowned slightly, his dark green eyes narrowed, and a hint of wariness flashed in his eyes.

Ever since his beast crystal was mined and he returned to the Cangshan tribe, everyone has been avoiding him. Who would want to find him?

Mo Yan's crimson eyes flickered slightly as he glanced at the relaxed Fu Ying, then looked at Teng, a mocking smile curving his lips: "Now that your strength has recovered, you've forgotten your 'brothers' who shared your misfortune?"

He deliberately dragged out his words, his fingertips casually stroking the cave wall: "You shouldn't have forgotten, right? After all... you are all Fuying's 'beastmen'."

He emphasized the word "beastman" heavily, with a blatant provocation.
