Chapter 13 New House
Seeing the pink Lamborghini, Yusjia thought that it didn't seem like the kind of sports car that a man like Meng Weiyuan would like.

She couldn't help but chuckle. It seemed that marriage wasn't so unbearable after all.

After all, her fiancé was really generous and lavish.

"So what if he acts like an old cadre? Who told Meng Weiyuan to be five years older than her? He's practically halfway into the ranks of old men, isn't he?" You Sijia couldn't help but think to herself.

The elevator leads directly to the courtyard on the first floor. Yu Sijia received her access card last week when she was in Nancheng. Now she is at the elevator entrance in the parking lot, where she is registering her facial recognition.

Uncle Chen didn't go up with You Sijia. His task today was to safely deliver her to the new house. Now that he saw You Sijia enter the elevator, he turned around and prepared to go to the venue to pick up his young master.

Yusjia was a little apprehensive before coming to the new house.

She didn't think she'd really like it if it were one of those old-fashioned courtyard houses. But even her future mother-in-law had said she could make as many changes as she wanted; wouldn't it be a bit inappropriate to make large-scale alterations?

Just as Yuska was debating whether to embark on a major construction project or simply find an excuse to move out, the elevator had already reached the ground floor.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Yusjia realized that her previous worries might have been unnecessary.

Although the house here has a long history, it is clear that this courtyard house has been renovated inside and out as Meng Weiyuan's new home.

Not far from her is the main entrance, where there is a complete screen wall.

It is a piece of elegant marble with natural patterns, reminiscent of the artistic conception of ink painting.

If you walk forward, you'll find a courtyard, which is probably used as a place to receive guests.

Surrounded by rooms on three sides, there is a century-old weeping crabapple tree in the center. However, it is not the flowering season, so there are no flowers in full bloom.

The room features huge floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, ensuring ample natural light. At first glance, it appears very simple yet elegant.

The interior furnishings can be clearly seen from the courtyard outside; they are simple yet artistic.

On the left and right sides, there are two separate small courtyards, which appear to be used as guest rooms.

One place is called Plum Garden, and the other is called Peach Garden.

One side of the planted area was filled with flowering plum trees, while the other side was filled with peach trees.

After passing through the courtyard where Yustia had initially seen the reception area, they finally entered the bridal chamber.

The central hall area is about 100 square meters, which is like the living room of her home in the South City Manor. The color scheme is rather cool, which is in harmony with the dry landscape garden outside the central hall.

The room on the east side was converted into a huge dining room, while the room on the west side was the kitchen.

After circling around this square courtyard and heading east, passing through a circular arched gate, Yustya looked up at the plaque above it, which bore three large characters—

Sixi Courtyard.

These few words do seem to demonstrate some skill.

Just as Yusjia was about to go inside, her phone rang.

She looked up and saw that the call was from Meng Weiyuan.

"Hello?" Yusjia answered the phone.

"It's me, Meng Weiyuan." A man's voice came quickly from the other end of the phone. "Where are you? I'm coming to find you."

Meng Weiyuan had already arrived at the entrance of the courtyard house, but this new house was a maze of winding paths and interconnected courtyards, and he didn't know where You Sijia was for the time being.

Yustya exclaimed, "Huh? You've arrived already?"

"Ah."

Yusjia glanced at the time and realized that she had been wandering around the garden for almost an hour and a half without realizing it, but she still hadn't finished exploring it.

"Sixi Courtyard," Yusjia read aloud the three characters above her head. "I'm here."

Meng Weiyuan seemed somewhat surprised to hear this reply, "You wait for me where you are."

The Sixi Courtyard is the true bridal chamber, the bedroom for the couple.

Meng Weiyuan arrived at Sixi Courtyard about ten minutes later. The man took long strides and walked quickly and hurriedly.

As Meng Weiyuan passed through the archway beside the path, he saw a slender figure.

When she went out today, Yusjia changed into a denim dress.

The light blue halter-neck denim dress perfectly accentuated Yuska's long, slender neck. The dress's cut hugged her curves, making her already incredibly thin waist appear even more delicate, perhaps even narrower than a man's palm.

Now that slender figure is squatting on the ground, a small ball that looks like a mushroom.

Meng Weiyuan stepped forward and asked, "What are you doing?"

The sound seemed to startle Yustia. She gasped and her body, which was crouching on the ground, swayed as if she was about to fall backward and land on her bottom.

The next moment, Yusya felt her shoulder being pressed down, and it seemed like something was sitting on her buttocks.

Yustia: "???"

She turned around, her large, clear eyes now filled with confusion and bewilderment.

"What are you doing!" Yusijia's eyes widened in shock. When she turned her head, she realized what she was sitting on—it was Meng Weiyuan's foot!
When this person saw that she was about to fall, his first reaction was not to pick her up, but to put one hand on her shoulder and one leg against her back, thus... in a very unseemly way, roughly preventing her from falling backward.

Yustya was confused and greatly shocked.

What kind of cosmic deadbeat straight man is this?!
Meng Weiyuan: "You didn't fall, did you?"

Yustia: "..."

The two were completely on different wavelengths.

She looked at the large hand that was already outstretched in front of her, feeling a bit annoyed, and slapped the man's hand with a "smack," then stood up by leaning against the wall next to her.

Meng Weiyuan frowned. Even if he was a straight man, he could sense You Sijia's displeasure.

"Are you really not hurt?" Although Yusijia looked like she didn't want to talk, Meng Weiyuan asked again.

"You've already blocked me with one leg, how could I possibly fall?" Yusjia replied irritably.

Meng Weiyuan was silent for a moment, then said, "I'm sorry, I didn't think things through just now."

He had no prior experience with intimate contact with the opposite sex, and besides, he wasn't sure if Yuska would be willing to have any physical contact with him in that situation.

"I'll carry you next time," Meng Weiyuan added.

His apology, reflection, and promises flowed smoothly and without any hesitation.

Even if Yuska had been very angry before, the man beside her was so calm and composed, and in the process of recognizing and solving the problem, no one could find any fault with him.

The dissatisfaction that had arisen from Meng Weiyuan's "rough rescue" was thus subtly resolved.

"What hug?" Yustia muttered. "I was just being careful, that's why there won't be a next time."

Meng Weiyuan followed her into the Sixi Courtyard. He didn't refute You Sijia's words. "Were you feeling unwell when you were squatting on the ground just now?" he asked.

Yustya: "...No."

"Huh? Really? Then why are you squatting on the ground?"

Yusja paused, bit her lower lip in frustration, and lowered her voice by two octaves in response, "We're observing."

Meng Weiyuan: "??? Observation?"

"Biological laws".

Meng Weiyuan: "?"

"Ugh, you're so annoying! Haven't you ever seen ants moving house?!" Yusjia said quickly, seemingly annoyed by the question.

She raised her head, glaring fiercely at the man beside her. Although she didn't say anything threatening, her eyes clearly conveyed that if Meng Weiyuan dared to laugh at her to her face, she would make him pay!
Meng Weiyuan's expression almost went blank for a moment. When he heard You Sijia's answer, he lowered his gaze slightly to hide the fleeting smile in his eyes.
