Chapter 25 Status
Jiang Manman hid in the bathroom in a rather disheveled state.

She buried herself in the cold water to calm the shameful turmoil in her heart, and even thought of two or three ways to die together with Xie Yuheng.

But it wasn't until ten minutes later that the faint sound of swiping the room card was heard.

Then, the hotel suite door opened and closed casually. Unhurried footsteps circled the bedroom before heading towards the bathroom.

Jiang Manman, who was soaking in the bathtub, flinched and stared intently at the bathroom door like a frightened bird.

A large, jade-like hand slowly opened the bathroom door, revealing a dashing and carefree face.

As he spoke, he strode over, pulled her out of the water, wrapped her in his bathrobe, and then carefully examined her. When his gaze fell on her bound wrists, his expression instantly turned extremely ugly!
"Which bastard did this?" he asked, carefully untying her wrist. Once her wrist was free, the first thing Jiang Manman did was run to the bedroom and flush the aromatherapy bottle down the toilet.

Yan Changye followed her out and, seeing her series of actions and sensing the faint fragrance lingering in the room, he understood what was going on almost instantly.

He looked at Jiang Manman, who was still trembling, and took out his shirt and handed it to her: "Go change your wet clothes first, and then I'll take you to the hospital."

Jiang Manman looked at the shirt in his hand but didn't take it.

Yan Changye met her gaze for a few seconds, then awkwardly looked away: "Don't worry, I'll get justice for you today. Let's go to the hospital first. I see you're not holding on much longer; it must be so uncomfortable to keep that thing going like that..."

“Yan Changye,” Jiang Manman suddenly spoke, “what are you doing here? I remember you were away on a business trip…”

Yan Changye glanced at her and laughed angrily: "You don't actually think I set this up, do you? What kind of person am I, Yan Changye, that I would need to resort to such despicable means?"

After he finished complaining, he patiently explained, "This room was booked for Xie Yuheng by several wealthy families in the capital. I was in Hong Kong for two days straight on business, without drinking water or sleeping. Unfortunately, the last hurdle required Xie's signature, so I had to fly back in my private jet, grab the documents, and corner him at the hotel to get him to sign them. Jiang Manman continued, "Then how come it was you who came in?"

Jiang Manman picked up a document from the bedside table, glanced at it, and believed it.

Jiang Manman said slowly and deliberately, "I'm not going to the hospital. You help me."

“Because of Xie Yuheng.” Jiang Manyan didn’t intend to hide anything. “Today, in order to curry favor with Xie Yuheng, they dared to kidnap me. If things don’t work out, there will be a second time, a third time, until that bastard surnamed Xie clearly states that he no longer needs me. Yan Changye lowered his eyelids and said with an "Oh," "So you were just using me."

Amidst the rustling sounds, Yan Changye picked up his phone, turned on recording mode, and placed it aside.

"What are you doing?" Jiang Manman's voice was no longer as calm as before; it was soft and coquettish.

Yan Changye feigned composure; "Oh, just recording a video, in case you don't recognize me tomorrow."

"I will admit it."

Yan Changye let her tear open his clothes: "We're so familiar with each other, are you sure you can bring yourself to do it?"

"Um……"

Yan Changye became coy and subtly avoided her gaze: "Isn't it inappropriate? We have no official status or relationship..."

Jiang Manman's patience ran out: "I'll give it to you!"

Everything that followed descended into chaos. Yan Changye's characteristic shrewdness and caution as a businessman led him, even in this awkward and unpleasant moment, to meticulously write down a densely packed set of terms for her to affix her fingerprint.

Not only that, but he even said something utterly shameless:

"I only want to be the plaintiff, not the defendant. Just to be on the safe side, you do it yourself."

That night was exceptionally long. Jiang Manman couldn't remember whether she came on her own or not; she only remembered the endless, passionate entanglement that lasted until dawn.

At eight o'clock in the morning, she was half asleep when that bastard dragged her out of bed: "Let's go, give us a title."
