Chapter 86 The Rebellious Son Has Arrived Too

Jiang Manman suddenly looked at Yan Changye.

Yan Changye remained calm and disdainful, immediately interrupting the other party as soon as they finished speaking:

Behind him, Shen Zongqian glanced silently at Yan Changye's back, his expression slightly bitter.

Besides the Xie family's businesses, what other work locations could Hong Kong possibly have? Did they expect a lowly special assistant to conjure them up?

Yan Changye was unaware that his casual remark had put immense pressure on his assistant. With the soft, fragrant body in his arms, he was in a great mood. He swiped his card to enter the suite and then carried Jiang Manman to the bathroom.

An hour later, Shen Zongqian, carrying a change of clothes he had retrieved from Yushui Bay, knocked on the suite door.

Yan Changye opened the door wearing a bathrobe, his expression showing annoyance at being interrupted. Shen Zongqian respectfully handed him the bag of clothes, which Yan Changye opened and glanced at, frowning slightly: "Only clothes?"

Shen Zongqian coughed lightly: "Yushui Bay didn't have any of those, so I bought a box at the convenience store downstairs and put it at the bottom of the bag."

Yan Changye lazily hummed in agreement: "You can go home now. Come find me again tomorrow afternoon."

He turned and went inside, about to close the door, when Shen Zongqian forced himself to lower his voice and say, "BOSS..."

"explain."

Shen Zongqian glanced into the bathroom; the sound of water was coming from inside, but Jiang Manman probably couldn't hear it. He then spoke softly:
"You said you'd take your wife to visit the work site tomorrow... that's a bit challenging, I don't know how to prepare."

"No need to prepare, she can't get up."

Yan Changye gracefully closed the door.

The dimly lit, ambiguous bedroom was quickly filled with a sweltering atmosphere.

It had been a long time since we'd last met, and this time, the banquet lasted until after 10 p.m. before we were able to satisfy our cravings.

On the other end, a dirty face appeared on the screen. Xie Jian had a messy, frizzy hairstyle, his face was covered in mud, and his body was also covered in mud stains, making him look extremely disheveled.

Yan Changye's face darkened: "What have you done today?"

"I played in the mud for a while." Xie Jian stared at Yan Changye with his big, round eyes. "What time are you coming back? I'll wait for you to come back and give me a bath."

Yan Changye remained silent, offering no explanation.

Jiang Manman leaned over and greeted Xie Jian, "Hi, Xie Jian, Uncle Yan is with me tonight. He'll come back to keep you company tomorrow, okay?"

Xie Jian was suddenly struck by Jiang Manman's appearance in the video and exclaimed in surprise, "Manman, you've come to Hong Kong?"

"Yes, but I'm leaving tomorrow, and time is too tight, so I might not be able to see you," Jiang Manman said apologetically.

Xie Jian blinked, seemingly lost in thought.

Jiang Manman's voice was gentle: "Alright, look at you, go take a shower and go to bed early."

Xie Jian then remembered that he was still in a very disheveled state.

His face flushed, and he stammered, "I'm usually very clean."

Jiang Manman smiled and said, "Yes, I know."

Xie Jian was extremely embarrassed by the laughter: "Then I'll go take a shower."

After saying that, he hung up the phone.

Yan Changye turned off his phone, and after thinking for a moment, he turned off Jiang Manman's phone as well.

Jiang Manman glared at him: "Why did you turn it off?"

"My wife and I finally had some time to relax, and we don't want to be disturbed again."

After Yan Changye finished speaking, he decisively threw his phone onto the sofa next to him.

Xie Jian stood straight at the hotel entrance, his hand still poised to knock. He was wearing the trendy Chinese-style outfit Jiang Manman had made for him, and his fair and delicate face was cleaner than Yan Changye had ever seen before. Beside him lay an adorable suitcase and a backpack full of homework.

It took Yan Changye a while to recover from his daze: "What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"

Xie Jian blinked and said in a childish voice, "I'm here to join you guys."
