Fatal Desire
Chapter 33 Biting the Ear
Chapter 33 Biting the Ear
Zhao Yansen laughed: "Are you being reasonable? When did I ever kick you out? You always wanted to leave, didn't you?"
As soon as Zhao Yansen finished speaking, he suddenly felt a warm and moist touch on his ear. Song Xi gently bit his ear with her teeth.
"I don't care, you just want to get rid of me. If you do, I'll bite you, I'll bite you..."
The car was dimly lit, and visibility was poor, which unconsciously amplified the other senses, making them several times more acute than usual.
Ears are a sensitive area for most people. Song Xi licked and nibbled at his ear again and again. His warm breath, mixed with the scent of Hennessy, sprayed onto his earlobe. Zhao Yansen was caught off guard and felt a short, tingling electric current.
Song Xi continued biting, but he didn't let her have her way. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away.
"Is he drunk or sober?"
Above the bustling city, stars are embedded in the inky sky, like glittering gems.
As night fell, the Bentley drove along the deep road. The scenery outside the window flashed by like a movie in rewind, with occasional rays of light reflecting into the dimly lit cabin and falling on the man's high nose bridge, making his handsome face appear even more profound and sharp.
Zhao Yansen's dark eyes scrutinized Song Xi. Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were unfocused, and they shimmered with a spring-like luster, clearly indicating that she was drunk and out of her mind.
With her wrist held firmly by the man's strength, Song Xi couldn't break free. She wisely said, "Let me go, and I won't bite you."
The alcohol she drank had a strong aftereffect, and her head was already spinning. She had been forcing herself to stay awake before, but now she had relaxed.
Zhao Yansen judged her state of intoxication and knew that she was confused, so he did not hold it against her.
Song Xi was very drunk. She first shrank back, then swayed and fell backward. Just as her head was about to hit the barrier, Zhao Yansen's strong arms caught her waist and pulled her back into his arms.
He clicked his tongue lightly: "If you bump your head, you'll definitely try to frame me again when you wake up, saying I'm abusing you."
Song Xi closed her eyes, leaned against the man's firm chest, rubbed against him to find a more comfortable position, and then remained still.
Her hair brushed against his chin, cool and soft, like a feather gently sweeping across him.
Zhao Yansen looked down at Song Xi for a long time, then reached out and gently pinched her cheek.
Song Xi did not react.
With her warm and soft body in his arms, a feeling he hadn't experienced in a long time, he felt her very close to him. Zhao Yansen's senses were sharp, and he could smell the clear fragrance of roses and lychees, the scent emanating from Song Xi.
He leaned back lazily in the leather chair, his long arms loosely wrapped around her waist. The familiar scent lingered in her nostrils, and she inexplicably felt like taking a nap.
The car drove into Yanshan Villa, passing through gardens and fountains, and finally stopped in front of the main building, which is in the French architectural style.
Zhao Yansen lifted his eyelids slightly and looked at Song Xi in his arms in the light of the villa. She was still fast asleep and showed no signs of waking up.
He placed the back of his hand on her forehead to check her temperature; it was neither hot nor cold, so she didn't have a fever.
Zhao Yansen carried Song Xi out of the car, strode into the villa, and carried her directly upstairs to the bedroom, placing her on the large bed.
Almost the instant he released her, Song Xi woke up.
The huge crystal chandelier overhead emitted a bright white light. She lay flat on the soft and comfortable bed, opened her eyes, and was not used to the strong light. Her vision was white for a while, and it took her a while to adjust.
The room was extremely luxurious and bright, with almost no gloomy, opulent space.
Very strange.
Song Xi propped herself up and sat up, only to be startled by the tall figure standing at the head of the bed.
Zhao Yansen carefully examined her from head to toe three times before asking, "Are you injured anywhere?"
"No." Song Xi wasn't fully sober; her head was still a little dizzy.
Zhao Yansen's gaze moved from her face down to her bare feet.
Song Xi's skin was fair, but not in a subtle, jade-like white; rather, it resembled the pure white of fresh snow, clear, bright, and realistically fair.
Now, those snow-white feet were covered with shocking red marks. Zhao Yansen couldn't help but frown.
He called Luo Xiao, who answered quickly.
“Mr. Zhao.” “Call the doctor over.” Zhao Yansen said succinctly.
"Yes."
Song Xi sat on the bed, her eyes darting around. Before she could finish looking around, she saw Zhao Yansen sitting on the edge of the bed, his large hand pinching her ankle.
“Brother…” Song Xi trembled.
"Shut up."
Zhao Yansen cradled her ankle in his broad palm, gently placing it on his knee. He lowered his eyes and examined her swollen foot for a few seconds: "You sprained your ankle?"
She was able to remain calm when she encountered a vicious thug not long ago, but now, facing her brother, she couldn't help but soften.
Song Xi gripped the blankets with her fingers, her face pale, and nodded.
Zhao Yansen held her ankle with one hand and pinched the ball of her foot with the other, carefully twisting it, and said in a deep voice, "No bones are broken, but a tendon is twisted."
A burning pain shot through Song Xi's ankle. She gasped silently, cold sweat beading on her forehead from the pain.
Zhao Yansen glanced at her and said, "If it hurts, just say so. Why are you always showing off?"
Song Xi bit her lip and remained silent.
"Alright, I won't say anything more. You throw a tantrum over just one word." Zhao Yansen pinched her other foot and placed it on his knee, rubbing it a few times with his long, slender fingers. Song Xi felt ticklish and couldn't help but shrink back.
“This foot isn’t sprained,” she said softly.
Zhao Yansen heard this, but he didn't let go. He examined her foot carefully for a moment to make sure that she hadn't sprained her ankle as she said before putting it down.
His eyelashes were very long, and when he lowered his eyes to check her injuries, his eyelashes cast a fan-shaped shadow on his eyelids.
Song Xi stared at him intently and asked, "Brother, did you get Cheng Nian home safely?"
Zhao Yansen calmly raised his eyes, his deep gaze looking directly into hers.
It's as if she can't even protect herself, yet she has the mind to care about others.
Song Xi explained, "Cheng Nian is my assistant, that young lady."
As soon as he finished speaking, there was a knocking sound at the door, followed by Luo Xiao's voice.
"Mr. Zhao, the doctor has arrived."
The doctor, a middle-aged woman, entered the house with her medicine kit and first-aid supplies after receiving permission from her employer. Without asking, she knew the injured person was the girl in the bed.
Zhao Yansen glanced at it out of the corner of his eye, stood up, and stood in front of the French windows.
Luo Xiao followed the doctor in, his eyes fixed straight ahead, not even glancing at Song Xi, and went straight to Zhao Yansen to give a methodical report.
After Luo Xiao finished speaking, before leaving, he stood a meter away from Song Xi and said to her, "Miss, that girl has been safely returned."
Song Xi was telling the doctor where she felt unwell when she heard this. She smiled at him and said, "Okay, thank you."
The doctor gave Song Xi several instructions: move her feet, sway them from side to side, and then rotate them. When she swayed her feet to the right with a larger amplitude, the pain suddenly intensified, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.
By the floor-to-ceiling window, Zhao Yansen stood with his back to them, an unlit cigarette between his fingers, looking at Song Xi's reflection in the window with a slight frown.
Perhaps because she had changed doctors, the pain struck again, and she could no longer hold back, letting out a soft moan unconsciously.
The groans of pain were ordinary to the doctor, but when they reached Zhao Yansen's ears, they evoked unusual and ambiguous memories.
His eyes suddenly darkened, and his Adam's apple bobbed slightly involuntarily.
After repeated diagnoses, Song Xi was found to have no fractures. As the doctor applied ice packs to her skin, she looked up at the tall, upright figure and asked in confusion:
"Brother, where is this?"
