Chapter 41 The Long Street Slaughterhouse

Chapter 41 The Long Street Slaughterhouse (2)

Just by looking at the train schedule, several questions that might be related to the mission popped into Lu Jinzhao's mind.

However, everything still needs to be analyzed after entering the platform.

When the train arrived, Lu Jinzhao was already quite adept at getting on board and having his ticket checked.

After boarding the train, the money on her ticket to save her life had reached 1500.

"This is still far from enough to buy your life."

She certainly didn't think that she would be able to obtain a destiny by participating in this event. She just knew from the forum that the price of buying a destiny was extremely expensive. If she happened to encounter a good destiny, but didn't have enough money to buy it, then it would all be for nothing.

No one has given a clear price, only that different fates have different prices, with the lowest starting at two thousand.

However, if she doesn't spend too much money on this event, she can get the lowest price for the money she's saved up afterward.

As the train headed towards its destination, the passengers chatted with each other and those they knew. Occasionally, someone would try to socialize with passengers they didn't know well, since they would be facing platform duties together.

Wei Ling quietly leaned close to Lu Jinzhao's ear and told her about a few passengers she knew. Among the other 10 passengers, two were people Wei Ling knew, and they had worked together on platform tasks before.

Wei Ling briefly described the two people's personalities, and then added, "Back then, neither of us had any supernatural items, and we were both newcomers who were not very familiar with each other. I don't know if they have any supernatural items now."

"Personality may vary slightly, but intelligence is unlikely to change."

Even if a person experiences a major upheaval and undergoes a drastic change in temperament, it is impossible for them to go from having a pig's brain to becoming a genius.

Those two people who survived with Wei Ling from the D-level platform to the present day are certainly not pig-brains, but in Wei Ling's eyes, they are not particularly smart either.

After the two women got into the car, they had a brief chat with Wei Ling, but their conversation was too probing and their attempts to reminisce were too deliberate. Lu Jinzhao was too lazy to listen to what they were saying.

She also realized that if she survived enough times on the platform, there would be fewer and fewer unfamiliar passengers.

Because as the class increases, there will be fewer and fewer high-class passengers. Perhaps, at Class A, a train will be filled with acquaintances.

Lu Jinzhao just thought about the survival rate of his previous two appearances.

"If the sheepskin doesn't cause trouble," she added silently to herself.

Soon, amidst the passengers' conversations, the train arrived at the station.

As the car door opened, Wei Ling suddenly said, "We can't be getting off in some kind of room again this time, can we?"

Lu Jinzhao was about to say no, but for some reason she didn't speak. When she stepped out of the car and looked up, she found herself standing in a house, and her lips twitched slightly.

"Wei Ling, that jinx!"

Clearly, neither of them had a pleasant memory of starting the game in a house.

But the situation is even worse now.

Because she was the only person in the house.

Lu Jinzhao was not in a hurry, but first observed the room.

This appears to be an ordinary room in a small town from the last century. The furniture is very old-fashioned. There is no television, only a radio. A plastic tablecloth covers the wooden table, and next to it is a red kettle. A calendar hangs on the wall, but it seems to be outdated, hasn't been turned in a long time, and is a bit dirty.

It looks like a "home".

Judging from the layout, this is the living room. The door to the back is closed, leading to the bedroom. As Lu Jinzhao approached, she heard a weak cough coming from inside.

"Cough cough."

anyone?

She paused, her muscles tensing.

A few seconds later, an elderly and weak voice came from inside: "Come in."

Lu Jinzhao thought for only two seconds before stepping forward and opening the door.

There is no information available right now, and the room has absolutely nothing to do with "butchers" or "slaughterhouses." We have to actively seek information, even if there are pitfalls, we have to step into them.

The door opened, and a faint stench wafted out. Compared to the living room, the bedroom was unusually dimly lit, but it was still possible to make out that an elderly person was lying on the bed.

She was facing the doorway, and upon seeing Lu Jinzhao, a surprised smile appeared on her deeply lined, aged, and somewhat deformed face: "Good child, you're back. Are you on vacation?"

It seems that players have been assigned identities at this platform?
Lu Jinzhao nodded in agreement with the old man's words: "Yes."

"Great! Now that you're back, you can go buy meat for me."

As soon as the old man finished speaking, Lu Jinzhao knew that he had opened the right door.

The clue to the slaughterhouse has come true.

The old woman opened her mouth as she spoke, revealing her bare gums. She had lost all her teeth long ago. Even so, did she still want to buy meat to eat?
Just as Lu Jinzhao was about to ask something, the radio in the living room suddenly started playing.

——Sizzle

First there was a slight static, then a rough male voice came from inside.

"Damn rats!"

"Rat has sneaked in; they want to steal meat! Catch them before sunset today and bring them to me; I'm going to slaughter them!"

The man roared, his voice filled with extreme anger.

After listening to the broadcast, the old woman on the bed suddenly brightened her cloudy eyes and spoke in a trembling voice:
"Quick, quick, take my ticket to the slaughterhouse! There's fresh meat to eat! There's fresh meat!"

The old man's thin hand stretched out from the bed. His five fingers were covered with wrinkled skin and had no flesh, making them look particularly terrifying. What he was clutching on his fingers was a hostage.

Lu Jinzhao endured the stench and took a few steps inside. Amidst the old man's twisted smile, she accepted the hostage, but didn't immediately let go. Instead, the old man suddenly looked up at Lu Jinzhao's face and slowly spoke through his toothless mouth:

"Good boy, you'll bring the meat back for me, right?"

Lu Jinzhao did not show any fear. Even though the atmosphere in the room was rather strange, she simply nodded calmly: "Yes."

As soon as he finished speaking, the old man on the bed smiled again and released his grip on the hostage.

"Okay, go ahead, but be back before dark."

The room was too dimly lit, and with the stench and the strange old man on the bed, Lu Jinzhao didn't want to stay any longer. She took the hostage and quickly left the room.

Once outside, she examined the ticket more closely and noticed something that caught her attention.

The meat ticket was marked "Long Street Slaughterhouse," but it didn't specify the amount or exchange quantity. It had a red stamp on it, but the stamp wasn't a character; instead, it was a cow's head.

"It seems this is one of the clues."
