The True Lord has arrived
Chapter 3 Black and White
Chapter 3 Black and White
When magnesium powder and water meet, hydrogen gas is produced. When it comes into contact with an open flame, it explodes at an extremely high temperature. This temperature hits the eyeballs directly and is unbearable. The pain feels like a chisel is being plunged into the forehead.
The little demon was in excruciating pain, its brain went numb, and it took two breaths before it could howl.
Zhou Yan had already pulled his hand back to avoid getting burned.
Before the man could even open his mouth and howl, Zhou Yan had already wrapped his left hand around a rough piece of clothing used for wilderness search and rescue, forming a large ball, and shoved it into the man's mouth, with two fingers shoved into his throat, preventing him from making a sound.
At the same time, tackle the guy to the ground and subdue him.
Zhou Yan's heart pounded wildly, but the intense desire to survive and the suppressed anger burning within him gave him a three-fold increase in strength.
The monster's eyes were in excruciating pain; its eyeballs were almost cooked by the intense heat, and it couldn't scream.
It struggled, but was suppressed.
Before I went blind, in my fiery red vision, I saw a pair of fierce pupils.
The human eye.
Black and white.
Zhou Yan pulled out a Swiss Army knife from his lower back with his right hand, flicked it, and the blade came out. He took a deep breath; to be honest, his body was still trembling a little.
Fear rises, courage intensifies.
He held the knife in reverse and stabbed fiercely.
A finger-length blade pierced through the monster's eyeball.
The man finally let out a shrill scream from his stuffed throat. His voice was weak, his body struggled and trembled, and then he stopped moving. Zhou Yan maintained his stabbing motion with the knife.
It took several breaths to stop.
He loosened his grip, gasping for breath. All his strength vanished instantly; his arms and legs felt weak. He exhaled, collapsed there, and murmured:
"grass."
"Scared me."
The lying monster was speechless.
Zhou Yan didn't rest for long. He had to hurry. He sat up and planned to strip the monster of its clothes and put them on, but he was slightly taken aback. He saw a black mist floating up from the monster's corpse and then flying towards him.
The next moment, Zhou Yan felt a buzzing in his brain.
He sensed a book in his mind, or rather, in his deeper consciousness. This book seemed to have always been there, only awakening after he personally killed a monster in his mortal body.
…………
Although the birthday banquet for the Weaver Girl of Nanshan is scheduled for three days from now, many monsters have already arrived today. As one of the forces under the jurisdiction of the landlord, this manor still has to prepare some food to entertain these guests.
Just as the jade scroll appeared in Zhou Yan's mind.
All the monsters, big and small, in the entire village were stunned.
Whether they were drinking, eating, or playing drinking games, they all paused, then either whispered, spoke, or muttered to themselves, all saying the same thing.
"smell good--"
Butcher Zhao sniffed and muttered, "He looks so much like the person we caught today... no, that's not right..."
"It smells even better than that person's."
………………
Zhou Yan stripped the monster of its clothes and put them on himself.
This almost knocked him unconscious.
Everything went black before my eyes, and I think I could see my great-grandmother.
It took several breaths to regain his balance.
Then, looking at the clothes he had only worn a few times, his eye twitched with a pang of heartache, but in the end, he still put the nice clothes on the person opposite him and arranged the guy in a side-lying position, as if he were asleep.
He casually picked up some soot from the bottom of the pot and wiped his face before heading outside under the cover of night.
We were very cautious at first.
After taking a few steps, he suddenly felt something was wrong. What kind of legitimate monster would be acting so suspiciously on its own turf? Looking at his own face in the water tank next to him, he saw that it was pitch black, and he was wearing a loose, dark blue coat that looked disheveled and hadn't been washed for days.
A rusty machete belonging to a little demon hung from his waist, and he wore a pair of hemp shoes with ear loops on his feet.
Being overly cautious only draws attention.
Thoughtful.
Zhou Yan laughed and cursed, "Timid and cowardly? What are you afraid of?" He pulled his collar out a little, making him look even more sloppy and unrestrained. He first paced around, then took steps, and finally swaggered out.
He doesn't look like someone who was captured at all; he looks more like a local monster.
As for the jade book in his mind, Zhou Yan didn't have time to ponder it. He only knew that it couldn't be opened yet, as if the treasure had a spirit but hadn't recognized him. Zhou Yan was too lazy to care; he just wanted to get out of here.
He was naturally bold and had a carefree personality.
Now that he was slightly out of trouble, he felt more confident and went outside with a lantern.
When encountering minor demons along the way, do not hide or avoid them, but take the initiative to strike up a conversation.
The local monsters mistook him for a servant brought by the Third Aunt of the Weaver Girl, while the outsiders thought he was a newly added monster in the village. Zhou Yan carried a lantern, his tattered sleeves rolled up, swaggering around with an air of complete ease.
He even pretended to be a foreign monster from a drunken monster carrying a bottle of wine, asking him for directions, saying he was ordered to buy something.
The drunken monster, in its dazed state, believed most of what it heard and slurred:
"Ha, easy, easy, brother, you, you just go straight ahead, past the place where we brothers drink, head towards the big locust tree, and go straight past the third small tree next to it. The way we brothers go isn't that winding."
"We can't follow the same path our great-aunt and her family took, can we?"
"Ha, thanks then, brother!"
Zhou Yan chuckled twice and even took a wine jug from the drunkard. A moment later, he arrived at the place, only to find it was a kitchen. Inside, there was a small cubicle. Pushing open the door, he saw a bunch of strange-looking monsters drunk in the main hall outside.
Further ahead is the small door leading out.
Should we try to slip past this bunch of drunken monsters?
Zhou Yan let out a breath, feeling a little nervous. His palms were sweating. If his flesh were exposed, he feared he would be torn apart alive.
While thinking, he casually greeted the cook in charge of feeding and drinking the little monsters, took the wine jug from the manor and moved forward. His gaze froze slightly as he glanced at the wine jug.
He saw a table placed next to him.
Various kinds of meat were hanging from the taut rope above.
There was an arm inside, thin, with rough calluses on the palm. The fingers looked familiar, like the one that had touched Zhou Yan's wound before.
Zhou Yan paused for a moment.
The image of that woman flashed before my eyes.
A sense of pity, melancholy, and inexplicable anger rose within him. He knew that he was in a very vulnerable position, but even so, even as the weak, that fire could not be extinguished.
Even the terrifying ice and snow could not extinguish the primal anger and resentment in his heart. Zhou Yan was still rational; he clenched his fist, then loosened it, picked up the wine jug, and walked outside. At that moment, the cook strode out and called out, "Tell them to stop shouting; new dishes are coming soon."
"The good meat was brought by the godson of the Third Grandmother Weaver."
"What a treat!"
Zhou Yan smiled and agreed, but out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that the girl being brought up was about thirteen or fourteen years old. Her face was deathly pale, and her eyes were filled with fear. Her eyes darted around in terror, but when she saw Zhou Yan, she stopped abruptly.
His pupils widened noticeably.
For no apparent reason, Zhou Yan realized from those eyes that the little girl recognized him as a person.
Zhou Yan's heart skipped a beat, and he subconsciously thought:
"Holy crap, please don't shout! If you do, I'll get arrested too."
The next second, he felt a pang of moral shame at the thought.
But after the little girl froze, she didn't speak. She kept her mouth shut and immediately avoided Zhou Yan's gaze. She just stared straight at the monster. Although she was afraid, she didn't cry for help.
The door was right in front of Zhou Yan. He carried the wine jug and slipped through, past the group of monsters, and the exit was just outside. Behind him was a pot-bellied monster sharpening a knife, and a person about to be eaten.
Fear and the will to survive surged within him, and his gaze struggled.
But what I saw was that arm, and the calluses from hard work.
A fierce struggle erupted in his eyes.
Deep within his consciousness, that jade scroll remained dim and serene.
…………
Fear filled Li Zhiwei's eyes as she watched the monster approach with a knife.
The knife was dull and rusty. She wanted to scream for help, but when she saw the boy, who was only a year older than her, she saw the same fear in his seemingly carefree eyes.
She didn't shout, hoping the boy could get out alive.
As the demon approached, her body trembled. The demon raised the knife in its hand and chuckled, "How strange, a fragrance suddenly appeared, making my stomach rumble. I couldn't resist."
"This little face is so tender! Let's pinch off a piece and taste it!"
He stretched out his hand; his fingernails were quite long, thick, and yellowish-blue.
It came towards her face.
Li Zhiwei's eyes widened.
The lanterns swayed, and as the monster bent down, the boy behind him was revealed. He had short black hair and his face was smeared with black mud, but his eyes reflected the candlelight like fire burning on wild grass.
He held a knife in both hands.
His facial muscles twitched, and for a fleeting moment, the demon obsessed with flesh appeared somewhat simple-minded, while the person wielding the knife looked even more ferocious than the evil spirit.
dead!
Zhou Yan gripped the knife and, without hesitation, plunged it viciously into the monster's neck, causing the monster to scream in agony.
The moment Li Zhiwei froze, she deliberately screamed, just like a girl screaming in agony when she was being murdered. Her high pitch drowned out the monster's wailing, making it sound as if the monster was howling as it brutally attacked the girl.
Zhou Yan breathed a sigh of relief. The knife was halfway in when it got stuck in the tendons and blood vessels in the neck. He became ruthless and took advantage of the little demon's panic due to the pain. He stepped on the wall for leverage and then pushed hard.
The blade was very blunt, and it took several attempts to finally pierce straight through.
The cook suffered greatly before finally passing away.
Zhou Yan gasped for breath.
He killed the second monster, but had no time to rest.
Outside, some monsters were already shouting impatiently.
"Did you kill it? If you did, hurry up and bring out the meat!"
The cook is now dead.
The person has been saved.
The house blocking the exit was filled with demons clamoring for meat.
Retreat is not an option; saving lives is something I will never regret.
But I want to live!
How to do?
Zhou Yan's lips twitched, and his gaze fell on the demon lying dead beside him. He walked over slowly, and Li Zhiwei looked at the young man dressed in tattered clothes, dragged the demon up, and threw him into the huge stone vat used to smash flesh into pulp.
Then, he reached out and grabbed the large stone hammer with leverage.
Li Zhiwei's eyes widened: He's going to...
Zhou Yan pulled up the rope attached to the stone hammer, but the hammer was too high, so he let go and let the hammer smash down hard.
"You want to eat meat, huh!"
The sound of flesh being pounded was heard by the demons outside. They assumed it was the demon starting to make meat and drank and cheered. Zhou Yan's eyes were sharp and firm. Strike after strike, the demon was smashed into mincemeat by the stone hammer.
Sharpness, ruthlessness, decisiveness, and necessary goodwill.
It blends into an indescribable feeling.
In the sea of consciousness, the jade book slowly lit up, and finally, it was accompanied by a powerful hammer blow.
When the minced meat is shaped, the force applied is so great that it makes a cracking sound as it spreads through the air.
Wow!
The jade book suddenly flipped open.
The fragrance emanating from Zhou Yan, which was believed to attract demons, vanished instantly.
Zhou Yan exhaled, released his grip, and looked at the large pool of minced meat.
Monsters eat people, and people kill monsters.
"You like eating meat, right?"
………………
Outside, the demons were running rampant when suddenly, with a whoosh, the wooden door opened.
A 'monster' emerged, dressed in tattered clothes, with a rusty knife at his waist and hemp shoes on his feet, carrying a large pot of minced meat.
"Brothers!"
The boy twitched the corners of his mouth, his smile radiant:
"Time to eat meat!"
