Chapter 26 Review (Part 1)

In the instant the accident occurred, the entire laboratory was sealed off to prevent the spread of harmful substances inside.

Although the safety manual indicated that the instructors outside should have been on their way immediately, Jemin dared not risk his life.

Now, if he doesn't want to be reduced to ashes in the machine's explosion, he'd better find a way to stop it from continuing to break down as soon as possible.

While the other apprentices panicked and tried to get away, and even some wizards were frantically searching for an emergency shutdown plan, Jemin made his move!
He suddenly burst out from behind the support column, moving so fast that he was like a blur, and rushed toward the separator that was emitting a piercing alarm!
The corrosive dust was still everywhere, and the apprentices around him gasped in surprise when they saw him "risk" rushing in.

However, the gray dust that was enough to make flesh sizzle instantly vanished upon contact with the thin film of refined gold on Jemin's skin, as if it had hit an invisible wall, and could not cause him any harm at all!

Ignoring the stares of those around him, Jemin quickly approached the separator, his eyes fixed on the key rune nodes he sensed.

He extended his right index finger, and a wisp of elemental energy, condensed from his spiritual power, gathered at the fingertip.

He moved swiftly and precisely, pointing to the first node!
hum...

The rune node emitted a soft sound, and a surge of out-of-control energy was instantly released from it, only to be redirected once again by the adamantite membrane in Jemin's hand.

Without stopping, following the rehearsals he had already calculated many times in his mind, he continued to point to several other key nodes!

With each new node, the separator's alarm weakens and the chaotic energy fluctuations subside.

In a split second, Jemin darted through the danger zone like a butterfly flitting among flowers.

When he clicked the last key node...

Snapped!
The alarm from the separator stopped abruptly, and the out-of-control energy flow was completely channeled and calmed down.

The source of the pervasive corrosive dust was also eliminated, and it was quickly neutralized by the emergency treatment system in the public laboratory.

The crisis is over!

Standing beside the separator, Jemin was slightly out of breath, with a hint of lingering fear in his eyes.

Those present were momentarily stunned, then burst into cheers. It wasn't until a few unfortunate apprentices couldn't help but let out painful groans that the other apprentices reacted and began to examine their corroded wounds.

Amy leaned tightly against the support column, her face still somewhat pale.

She looked at Jemin, her eyes filled with shock and disbelief!

Although she had long felt that Jemin was very talented, in the crisis just now, he still showed qualities far exceeding theirs.

"My judgment was spot on! It's really a win to have established a good relationship with them so early on!"

As Amy was secretly delighted, the laboratory door was kicked open violently, and a group of fully armed wizards rushed in with a bunch of silver-white puppets.

The puppets quickly swarmed towards the injured wizard apprentices, pairing up to carry them away from the laboratory.

Even some of the less seriously injured apprentices, after being examined by the wizards, were arranged to leave with a puppet.

Seeing the rapidly dwindling number of apprentices around him and the wizards gradually closing in on him, Jemin suddenly sighed and obediently raised his hands.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely cooperate!"

It seems that these wizards are not only dealing with this accident, but also taking care of their own accident in the process.

The wizards paused slightly upon hearing this, exchanged surprised glances, and then, taking advantage of the chaos, quietly led Jemin away. On the way to his destination, Jemin actually felt a sense of relief.

The second shoe has finally dropped!

……

……

Deep within Norren Academy lies a secret chamber unknown to most.

The interior is devoid of superfluous decorations, featuring only cold metal walls and floors, and a massive light curtain suspended in the center, emitting a faint glow.

On the screen, the accident that had occurred not long ago in the Alchemy Workshop's public laboratory area was being played out—the elemental dust separator malfunctioned, the apprentices panicked, and... a figure rushed into the danger zone and quelled the crisis at an astonishing speed.

Several figures shrouded in wide wizard robes stood or sat quietly in front of the light screen.

Their faces were shrouded in the shadows of their robes, obscuring their features, but the powerful spiritual energy emanating from them indicated that they were at least fourth-level formal wizards.

The screen paused on the scene of Jemin leaving with the wizards of the enforcement team.

A series of assessment data popped up next to it, showing the energy fluctuations, dust concentration, and the reaction scores of each apprentice during the accident.

"Number three, slow to react, only started retreating two seconds after the warning was given, points deducted."

"Number 5, excessive panic hindered others from retreating, points deducted."

"Number One, quick response, timely warning, and decisive handling, bonus points."

One by one, deep voices announced the scores for each apprentice's performance during the crisis.

Their assessment was calm and objective, devoid of any emotion, as if they were simply analyzing a complex equation.

The light screen switched again, freezing on the fleeting golden light on Jemin's body as he rushed into the corrosive dust area.

Next to the assessment data, a prominent label flashes: [Abnormal Reaction].

“It’s this apprentice,” a voice said with a hint of interest, “He’s the one who submitted that… ‘white iron-based insulating material’?”

A balding figure nodded and asked in a deep voice, "What are the results of the investigation into him?"

“The soul test is complete,” a voice replied calmly. “I compared his soul record when he first enrolled, his soul record before the special material was applied, and his soul record after the special material was applied. I found no abnormalities. His soul essence is quite clear, and there are no signs of being parasitized by other creatures or having his soul replaced.”

“His social network has also been thoroughly investigated,” another voice chimed in. “Whether before or after enrolling, his interpersonal relationships were very simple. He was a quiet little fellow in his hometown. After enrolling, apart from his fellow students’ apprentices and a few classmates, he did not have any deep contact with any unknown or suspicious individuals. All the people he had contact with were also reviewed, and their records were clean.”

"The subconscious and the mind have also been tested, and there is no evidence that the behavior has been altered."

"His cognitive abilities were just tested, and there were no distorted signs..."

……

A series of test results came from the surrounding wizards, until finally, they all turned their gazes to the bald wizard who had spoken first.
