Chapter 94 Convergence
"How's the situation on your end?" Jemin asked.

"I'm fine here. I was lucky; I was very close to Victor when I came in, and now we've met up. I'll be able to find you soon!"

Amy's voice came through the communication device, followed by the clear sound of Victor's voice coming from beside her.

"But Jemin, be careful. There was a sudden explosion next to us when we met up. We would have been in danger if we hadn't been keeping protective magic active." Amy's voice was filled with lingering fear.

"I didn't expect this dimension to be so dangerous. We still need to be careful."

Just now?

explode?

Clicking on the screen of the communication device, looking at the distance between the two sides, and then gesturing the trajectory of the energy blast, Jemin's eyelids twitched.

"Jermin?"

After not hearing a response for a long time, Amy asked in confusion.

After glancing at the swaying corpse of the giant beast beside him, Jemin coughed lightly, pretending nothing had happened.

"I'll come find you myself; I'm faster. Is your area safe? If it's safe enough, stay there and don't move. I'll come find you right away!"

"There shouldn't be any problem. The explosion just now seems to have scared away all the wild animals in the area..."

"Okay! I'll be right there!"

Before Amy could react, Jemin decisively hung up the communication and activated his mobile rune artifact, rushing towards the coordinates from where they had just been.

……

……

A wild and mixed atmosphere permeates the primeval forests in the eastern part of the continent of Erosia.

The jungle was much livelier than usual today, with screams and explosions echoing from afar.

Without wasting any time, Jemin quickly locked onto two familiar points of light using his Eye of Light—Amy and Victor.

They were not far from him, leaning against a giant tree, warily scanning their surroundings, clearly waiting for something.

"Amy! Victor!"

A familiar voice rang out in the chaotic forest, causing Amy to turn her head sharply.

Seeing Jemin emerge from the shadow of a huge ancient tree, the two of them finally relaxed their tense nerves.

"Jermin, you're alright too! That's great!" Amy rushed forward, her eyes filled with surprise.

Victor staggered over, his face pale, as if he had been affected by the explosion: "You've finally arrived!"

After the three reunited, Jemin glanced at the two women. Amy's clothes were somewhat disheveled, indicating that she had just been in a fight.

Victor was in a sorry state; his wizard's robe was torn and he was covered in dust, but fortunately he had no injuries. It seemed he had fallen to the ground unexpectedly.

“We can’t stay here any longer, it’s too conspicuous.” Jemin nodded to the two of them and said quickly, “Let’s leave here and find somewhere to put our feet down.”

The two naturally had no objections and nodded in agreement. Using the real-time map fed back by his Eye of the Glimmer, Jemin guided them through the dense forest, avoiding most of the dangerous areas.

Along the way, the occasional roar of witchcraft and the howls of monsters could be heard in the distance, indicating the chaos the apprentices were experiencing.

After walking a short distance, the three found a secluded cave to rest for the time being.

They easily dealt with the original owner of the cave, and after slightly concealing the entrance, they lit a fire.

The faint firelight illuminated their faces, easing the atmosphere slightly.

"What are we going to do next?" Victor asked first.

Of the three, Amy and Victor are both good at cooperating with others, so they took the initiative to make the suggestion.

“This plane is far more dangerous than we imagined.” Amy also lowered her head to think. “Moreover, we haven’t fully mastered this plane yet, and higher-level beings could appear at any time. We are currently only level three apprentices, and this level of strength is too dangerous in this world.”

Leaning back against the rock wall, Jemin nodded in agreement: "That's right, so there are two top priorities right now."

He held up two fingers. "First, find the main force of the wizards. You should have seen what happened just now. The external passages of this plane should all be controlled by those gods. So, in case of an emergency, our only chance of leaving is to rely on the stable teleportation array established by the main force."

“I agree. Rushing in recklessly will only cut off our retreat, which is the most foolish thing to do.” Victor immediately chimed in. “Besides, with our current strength, we could easily lose our lives in this plane. Finding the main force will at least provide support and allow us to resupply.”

“The second point…” Jemin’s tone shifted, becoming somewhat serious, “is to be promoted to a first-level formal wizard.”

Because of the contract they signed when they joined the academy, in order to improve themselves as much as possible, the students would basically remain at the level of third-level wizard apprentice until the ten-year term was up before they could choose to advance.

Therefore, every single apprentice participating in this assessment is a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, and all of them have been at this level for many years.

Amy was taken aback, then realized: "Promotion? That makes sense..."

Victor didn't react much to this, clearly indicating that he had already considered this matter:
"Indeed, the restrictions of the contract prevented me from advancing to the first level of formal wizard, but in the context of this total war, the restrictions of the contract are not inflexible."

Jemin nodded in agreement: "The workshop's assessment lasts for a whole year, so they obviously anticipated this step. We are all level three apprentices now, and our combat power will be greatly enhanced after we are promoted to level one wizard."

Even without the addition of new knowledge, there is still an insurmountable gap between a first-level formal wizard and a third-level apprentice.

The influence thresholds of mental energy reserves, control strength, and elemental activity, as well as the natural evolution of the sorcery model...

These are advantages that an apprentice level cannot match.

Even for Jemin, his combat power increased significantly after being promoted to a first-level official wizard.

In the face of real interdimensional warfare, one's own strength is the most important factor.

"So, our next steps are clear," Jemin summarized. "One is to find wizard strongholds or large groups, and the other is to advance to the next level as a full-fledged wizard... Have you prepared your advancement potions?"

"I did prepare, but I didn't bring it with me." Amy looked somewhat troubled.

Since they were heading to a new plane, each wizard apprentice could only carry a limited amount of supplies without a spatial ring.

Moreover, most of the apprentices had already considered before coming here that the content of this assessment would most likely be interdimensional warfare, so it was even less likely that they would bring advancement potions.

However, no one expected that this assessment would last for a whole year, so many apprentices were indeed unprepared.
