Chapter 52 Bai Ni's Helplessness
"Alright, I've arrived. You should go now."

Nagisa couldn't help but grind his fangs, a chill emanating from his deep blue snake eyes. Did they really treat him like a tool snake?
Watching the female mermaid's retreating figure without a backward glance, Nagisa Toru's face darkened, a bitter taste of venom trickling down his throat. Fine, he'd get his revenge next time.

……

When I returned, I found that my little home had changed drastically.

Several ice rocks of varying sizes appeared outside the cave, and the ice cave expanded to several times its original size.

Bai Ni lazily lay down on the rocks outside the cave, her smooth black hair scattered on the dark rocks, creating a stark contrast with her pale skin.

One of her slightly open eyes sensed Chao Sheng's return, and her eyebrows twitched slightly, indicating she was about to wake up.

Just as Yinxu finished packing and was about to leave the cave, she saw Chaosheng. "Shengsheng, you're back?"

"Ah."

The boy, who had been lying flat on the rock, suddenly sprang to his feet and swam towards the scent of his beloved. He naturally wrapped his arms around the little mermaid's waist, his eyes still half-closed, and said lazily, "Sheng Sheng, you're back?"

"Yes, I'm back." Chao Sheng felt the weight on her shoulders, a hint of helplessness flashing in her eyes. She gently patted Bai Ni's head. "Let's go up first."

"it is good."

Silver Floss is quite aesthetically pleasing; the open space is decorated with some high-quality corals and vibrant seaweed and flowers.

They must have gotten these specially because they saw that Chao Sheng liked them.

Chao Sheng's seashell bed was placed at the very back, with a thin veil blocking the view from the outside. It swayed gently with the water and shimmered with a faint phosphorescence.

On either side of the seashell bed, there were two small compartments, each covered with a thin layer of seaweed and blocked by a piece of ice.

Chao Sheng curiously tugged at the veil and asked, "What is this?"

Upon hearing this, Yinxu's lips curved slightly, and her eyes shimmered with tenderness. "This is the dowry I added."

"I don't know if you'll like it or not."

He was unaware of this before, but during this time he traded a lot of crystal coins with other tribes through hunting.

Then they used those crystals to buy this layer of gauze.

He noticed that she seemed to really like the gauze dress that Bai Ni had given her.

She loves decorating her little bed so much, so I took it upon myself to hang this gauze over it.

Chao Sheng stroked the soft gauze, her eyebrows twitching, a hint of joy flashing in her eyes. "I like it."

In the beast world, there is no concept of privacy. It was already beyond Yin Xu's expectations that she would think of hanging a gauze to cover her small bed.

Bai Ni lowered his eyes listlessly, glanced at it indifferently, and muttered disdainfully, "What's so great about this?"

"You're only sending it now?"

"Slap!" Chao Sheng sneered, looking at Bai Ni with a slightly threatening expression. "Are you more awake now?"
The little mermaid wasn't strong, and even if you hit him, it wouldn't hurt; he just felt a little uncomfortable.

She hit herself for another orc?
Bai Ni pouted in dissatisfaction and turned his head away in a huff.

"Yinxu, don't listen to him." Chaosheng looked at Yinxu with delight, her beautiful eyebrows relaxing and revealing a bright and charming look. "I really like him!"

The little mermaid's joyful voice drifted over, and Silver Floss's gaze softened as she gently swept her eyes across every part of the little mermaid's face. "Yes, I know."

Bai Ni watched their interaction with displeasure, not even for a moment.

My heart ached and twisted, it felt like I could squeeze out acid.

"Sheng Sheng, you won't blame me for not going with me to dig the tunnel, will you?" Bai Ni's tone was a little nervous, his eyes were full of regret and guilt, and he looked down pitifully. "I don't know what's wrong with me lately, I just love to sleep."

"Sheng Sheng, am I about to die...?"

"Is that poison still in my body?"

"No, that's not true." A hint of helplessness flashed in Chao Sheng's eyes as she looked at the affectionate orca with utter exasperation. "You'll be fine."

"Bai Ni, you have to believe me."

She was worried about Bai Ni's condition, so every morning she would use her magic to check Bai Ni's body, and only after confirming that he was alright would she feel a little relieved.

"Really?" Bai Ni clung to Chao Sheng, acting like a clingy little brat.

"Mmm." Chao Sheng let him hold her, his hot body temperature pressed against hers.

Bai Ni held Chao Sheng tightly, letting the scent of the drug linger in his nose, and he couldn't help but take two deep breaths.

Beneath her black, tousled hair, her slightly opened black eyes met Yin Xu's cold gaze, a hint of provocation flashing in them.

His deep brown eyes were cold and unsettling, a hint of a sneer playing at the corners of his gaze.

Just an ignorant male.

What's the use of just using these tricks?

I'm afraid he'll still be playing around here even after Sheng Sheng has given birth to all his children.

Chao Sheng counted the time and sensed that Bai Ni's mood had improved. She gently patted his back, signaling Bai Ni to get up.

She lifted the veil and nestled naturally on the seashell bed, her beautiful purple tail curving into a graceful line.

She looked up at her two handsome beast husbands, each different from the other, and a hint of satisfaction flashed in her eyes.

But what he actually said was, "Today I went to the Shark Tribe."

"The leader of the War Sharks is seriously injured, but he can still be saved."

“But…” Chao Sheng paused mischievously, and only after Yin Xu and Bai Ni looked at her with suspicion did she continue triumphantly, “They told me something.”

Chao Sheng looked at Bai Ni with a serene gaze, "Bai Ni, have you returned to the tribe recently?"

Bai Ni shook his head, puzzled, and said, "No."

"Ever since I was poisoned, I've been so sleepy that I haven't had time to go back."

Chao Sheng nodded upon hearing this, "Then you haven't had any contact with your sister."

Bai Ni blinked in confusion, somewhat bewildered, but still answered truthfully, "Yes."

The atmosphere between him and his sister is strange right now, and he thinks it's better if they don't see each other.

That's right, why did Sheng Sheng suddenly bring this up again today?

Chao Sheng didn't keep Bai Ni in suspense and told him the information she had learned from Ai Lu.

"The leader of the War Sharks has a beastman who gets along very well with Lian Xun."

“I learned from him that your sister…” Chao Sheng found it difficult to say, feeling as if he was trying to sow discord between him and his sister in front of her. She hesitated before speaking, “It seems she is still in contact with Lian Xun.”

After saying that, as if afraid that Bai Ni would get upset, Chao Sheng quickly comforted her, "Don't be afraid, this is just hearsay."

"I don't know if it's true or not."

But Bai Ni remained expressionless, as if he had no feelings about the matter, and said in a weak and feeble tone, "I guessed it."

“My sister can’t live without Lianxun. As long as Lianxun is alive, she will go to find him.”

He spoke with extreme nonchalance, as if the person he was talking about wasn't his biological sister from the same mother and father, as if Lian Xun wasn't the beastman who almost poisoned him.

"White Rebellion..."
