Chapter 4 Heading to the Crime Scene
Su Miaoyi determined the direction and distance based on the road signs on the overpass she saw in the video.

The approximate location has been determined.

Zhuang Yanzheng was driving.

Su Miaoyi was in the passenger seat.

Two policemen were sitting behind them.

The car was going very fast.

But it still took almost an hour to reach the vicinity of the destination.

The car couldn't go in, so the four of them had to walk.

After getting out of the car, Su Miaoyi was observing her surroundings.

Zhuang Yanzheng walked over, took out handcuffs, and cuffed his and Su Miaoyi's hands together.

He moved too fast.

Su Miaoyi felt a chill on her wrist and suddenly shivered: "What are you doing?"

"To prevent the suspect from escaping." Zhuang Yanzheng finished speaking and walked away, pulling Su Miaoyi forward and causing her to stumble slightly.

Su Miaoyi: "."

There is a river below the overpass.

Su Miaoyi and Zhuang Yanzheng walked to the riverbank.

Two policemen, one carrying an investigation kit and the other holding two shovels.

Su Miaoyi looked up, trying to find the angle of the overpass road sign.

Zhuang Yanzheng and the two policemen used survey lights to observe the ground and the surrounding area.

After a while, Su Miaoyi squatted down.

Zhuang Yanzheng stumbled as she pulled him along.

He looked at her.

Su Miaoyi moved forward and backward.

Zhuang Yanzheng also moved forward and backward with her.

Just as he thought she was deliberately seeking revenge, Su Miaoyi pointed to the ground and said, "Here."

Zhuang Yanzheng's survey lamp shone on the ground.

It's no different from other analogies.

It has been raining a lot in Jinghai recently.

Even if there are any traces, they've probably been washed away by the rain.

"Come here, dig it up," Zhuang Yanzheng said to the two policemen.

While they were digging, Zhuang Yanzheng looked around again.

This place is very desolate, and almost no one comes here.

There are surveillance cameras only on the overpass, but it seems like this place can't be filmed.

"Captain Zhuang, there's something here," one of the police officers shouted.

Zhuang Yanzheng immediately went over.

Su Miaoyi couldn't keep up and could only jog behind him.

Ten minutes later, it was completely dug open.

The stench of decay hit me right in the face.

Su Miaoyi followed Zhuang Yanzheng and squatted down next to the corpse.

"Call the nearby branch office and have them bring a forensic doctor over," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

"it is good."

"Doesn't the Municipal Public Security Bureau have a forensic doctor?" Su Miaoyi asked.

"Not in the last two days," Zhuang Yanzheng replied.

Su Miaoyi nodded, covering her nose with one hand as she looked at the corpse: "The weather is hot now, and it's been raining a lot in Jinghai lately, so the humidity by the river is high. This level of decomposition... it must have been going on for more than a week."

Zhuang Yanzheng looked at her.

Su Miaoyi continued to look at the corpse: "The skull is dented; it was hit hard before it died."

It matches what I saw in the picture.

She also felt pain in her arms and legs at the time.

Su Miaoyi looked around, trying to find something to lift up the deceased's clothes to examine his legs and arms.

But they still hadn't found it. Zhuang Yanzheng asked, "Aren't you scared?"

"I," Su Miaoyi, glanced at Zhuang Yanzheng, then at the corpse.

then
She covered her mouth and gagged.

Su Miaoyi tried to get up and move away, but her legs suddenly gave way and she couldn't get up.

I got up only after getting up a second time.

He staggered to the side and vomited.
Zhuang Yanzheng's hands were handcuffed to hers, so he could only follow her.

He stood beside her.

Su Miaoyi felt completely exhausted, but she still moved around and squatted down in a different spot.

Zhuang Yanzheng could only bend down.

Su Miaoyi had her back to the corpse, not daring to look back, and was huddled up in a corner.

This is much scarier than what I saw at noon. Facing the bushes, she just wanted to leave immediately: "The person has been found, can you let me leave first, or... you can lock me up again."

Zhuang Yanzheng bent over slightly.

Her lack of fear just now was genuine, but her current fear is also genuine.

He does seem to be mentally unstable.

Zhuang Yanzheng patted his body but couldn't find the key.

They can only maintain their current posture.

He thought for a moment and asked, "What did you see?"

Su Miaoyi covered her mouth and nose, and thought for a moment: "I saw a man swing a shovel and hit her on the head."

As she spoke, she pointed behind her.

They were still using the same hands that were handcuffed together with Zhuang Yanzheng's.

Zhuang Yanzheng felt as if his arm had been suddenly thrown out and then suddenly pulled back.

Zhuang Yanzheng: "."

“Then I saw that man bury her with soil,” Su Miaoyi said. “She should still be breathing at that time.”

She saw it from the victim's perspective.

The victim was still alive at the time.

It was a live burial.

Zhuang Yanzheng paused for a moment: "You saw what the man looked like?"

Su Miaoyi recalled those eyes that were both terrified and excited.

She nodded: "Around fifty years old. Medium build, wearing a blue shirt and black trousers. The way he held the shovel..."

Su Miaoyi paused for a moment, then looked up at Zhuang Yanzheng: "He seems to be left-handed."

Zhuang Yanzheng felt that she was no longer afraid at this moment.

“Oh, right,” Su Miaoyi remembered and said, “He has a mole at the end of his right eyebrow.”

Zhuang Yanzheng pulled her up: "Come here, take another look at the body."

Before Su Miaoyi could react, he dragged her to the side of the corpse.

As Zhuang Yanzheng had expected, she was no longer afraid.

Instead, he looked at the corpse very carefully: "When I saw those images, I also felt pain. Her legs and arms must have been broken."

The forensic doctor wasn't present, and she didn't dare to move.

"Could this be the primary crime scene?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Zhuang Yanzheng had been observing her all along.

She has knowledge of criminal investigation.

"Why aren't you scared anymore?" Zhuang Yanzheng asked.

Su Miaoyi paused for two seconds.

My sense of smell and vision seem to have been restored.

Su Miaoyi covered her mouth and gagged, just about to turn around and leave this place.

Zhuang Yanzheng pulled him back again.

He was tall and strong, and with a little effort, he pulled her back.

"Two hundred vomits on the spot," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

Su Miaoyi looked at him as if she had seen a ghost.

"That last time was a free gift for you," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

"You yue," Su Miaoyi gagged as soon as she spoke, "I provided the clue, and you're not going to praise me? You're asking me for money."

Zhuang Yanzheng quickly took her to a place further away.

Su Miaoyi plopped down on the rock.

Zhuang Yanzheng squatted down, took out gloves from his pocket and put them on, then pulled out a chain from under the rock where she was sitting.

"What?" Su Miaoyi looked down at him.

Zhuang Yanzheng lifted the entire chain, from which hung a pocket watch.

He opened the pocket watch with one hand.

The watch hands stopped moving after being submerged in water.

Su Miaoyi looked at the burial site and said, "Could it be that rainwater washed in from that side?"

Zhuang Yanzheng then looked at the back of the pocket watch and the chain.

Su Miaoyi looked at him: "Can you see anything?"

“Custom-made,” Zhuang Yanzheng said.

“You can tell from that?” Su Miaoyi craned her neck to look at the pocket watch.

Zhuang Yanzheng showed her the logo on the back of the pocket watch: "Items customized at this store start at seven figures."

"How much?!" Su Miaoyi exclaimed in shock.

Zhuang Yanzheng's shock at her was genuine.

Su Miaoyi quickly looked away, saying, "I'm not looking anymore. I'm not worthy. Don't charge me two hundred just for looking at it."

Zhuang Yanzheng: "."
