Chapter 2 The Little Dragon Boy Misses His Mother

“Lingxuan, she…”

Fengxiu didn't know how to start, and after struggling to get started, she got stuck again.

Fortunately, Feng Jing didn't make things too difficult for her father, who couldn't stay awake any longer and fell asleep with his eyelids drooping.

This truly relieved Fengxiu.

"Your Majesty...this..."

Agares finally found a chance to speak, but he didn't know what to say because the whole thing was too fantastical.

"Although I'm completely confused myself, there's no denying that she's my and Lingxuan's child."

Feng Xiu naturally knew what Agares wanted to ask, and he confirmed Feng Jing's identity.

"However, I think Vasak should be able to answer our questions."

Holding Feng Jing in her arms, Feng Xiu looked up towards the direction of the Star Demon Palace.

"Legendary Star Demon God".

By the time the Star Demon God arrived, Feng Xiu had roughly figured out what was wrong with Feng Jing.

Her memory has been corrupted by some force, and her poor mental state is due to the problems with her memory.

This force is very similar to the tearing force of spatial rifts during time travel.

"Brother, I was just about to come see you too."

Vasak arrived quite quickly, beaming with joy; he rarely seemed so happy and excited.

He couldn't even see Feng Xiu; he only saw Feng Jing lying on the bed, whose eyes seemed to be shining.

“This is Feng Jing, your and that human priest’s youngest daughter, and Agares’ and my most beloved niece.”

Before Feng Xiu could ask anything, Vasak eagerly revealed what he had predicted, his eyes full of smiles and doting affection for Feng Jing.

"Our most beloved niece?"

Agares repeated Vasak's words and suddenly remembered that not long ago Feng Jing had shouted, "Second Uncle, save me! Third Uncle, save me!"

Therefore, the second and third uncles refer to him and Vasak.

"But she's only five years old."

“And Lingxuan has been dead for nineteen years.”

Feng Xiu frowned; age was the hardest thing to explain.

If Feng Jing were nineteen, Feng Xiu wouldn't have such doubts.

Upon hearing Fengxiu's words, Vasak's smile remained unchanged as he slowly began to explain.

"Because she comes from thirty years in the future."

Thirty years later!

Fengxiu and Agares were both surprised, as they hadn't expected it.

But they still felt it didn't add up, after all, the dead can't be brought back to life. Could it be that Bai Lingxuan, who had long since died, had come back to life more than twenty years later, reconciled with Feng Xiu, and had a child named Feng Jing?

“I know this is puzzling, but that’s how my prophecy is.”

"Feng Jing, a descendant of a human prodigy and the Demon Lord. When she travels through time from thirty years in the future, the wheel of fate begins to turn, and everything moves toward the most perfect answer."

“This is my prophecy; you can see it.”

Vasak trusted his prophecy, and because of it, he was very kind to Feng Jing.

Fengxiu and Agares naturally believed Vasak's prophecy.

"Did it come thirty years later?"

From this information, Fengxiu gleaned another piece of information that surprised him.

It is known that dead people cannot have children.

So, his Lingxuan didn't die?

Or perhaps, his Lingxuan has been resurrected?

Upon hearing this news, Feng Xiu's gaze towards Feng Jing changed; it was as if she were looking at a lucky star, a precious treasure.

"Unfortunately, due to the time travel, her memory was severely damaged. Otherwise, we could have asked her what happened in the past 30 years?"

Agares, however, had a different focus, and he thought about it with some regret.

"Perhaps, it's a good thing that she can't remember?"

Vasak said this because he knew very well the last sentence of his prophecy, "Everything will lead to the most perfect answer."

Confident in his prophecy, Vasak believed that Fengjing was the one who would change everything and set the wheel of fate in motion. Under her influence, everything would move closer to "perfection."

"Which of you can take care of the child?"

Feng Xiu, who had been quietly watching Feng Jing, suddenly said this.

Despite having a son and a daughter living in his demon palace, Fengxiu wants to say that he really has no experience in raising children.

He didn't have it, and neither did Agares and Vasak.

Agares shook his head vigorously, "I can't."

He had the most children among the three brothers, but he was the one who cared for them the least.

Vasak sighed, "Mendi has always been easy to take care of since he was little, so I don't know how to do it either."

Fengxiu was in a dilemma.

Does he intend to raise Feng Jing like he raised A Bao and Leng Xiao, letting him grow up freely?
No no no.

Just thinking about it made Fengxiu shake her head.

Just then, Fengjing woke up calling out "Mom".

"Mommy! Where are you, Mommy—"

When Fengxiu heard this, she thought the child missed his mother and didn't know how to comfort Fengjing.

Then you see Feng Jing's eyes filled with tears shaped like fried eggs, looking at Feng Xiu with a pitiful expression.

"Dad, don't lie to me... Mom, Mom..."

"Has something happened to Mom?"

One sentence almost made Fengxiu think she had just been faking sleep, but the next sentence changed their minds.

"I dreamt of my mother, and she was calling for help."

One sentence left Fengxiu stunned on the spot.

Seeing his reaction, Feng Jing realized that something had really happened, and tears immediately streamed down her face.

She just kept crying and wiping away her tears to comfort herself.

"It's okay, Xiao Jing, you're amazing."

"You can save Mom."

"You can do it, Xiao Jing."

Seeing her like this, Fengxiu felt her heart soften completely.

But more than anything, Feng Xiu was curious to see what Feng Jing was capable of. So, after much hesitation, Feng Xiu finally revealed the truth about Bai Lingxuan's death.

"Xiao Jing? Xiao Jing!"

Seeing Feng Jing looking like he'd been struck by lightning, Feng Xiu immediately regretted her actions.

"It's okay, it's okay..."

"Xiao Jing is the most amazing kid in the world. I can save Mom."

"Dad, don't be sad, you have to believe in Xiaojing..."

Feng Jing leaned her head on Feng Xiu's shoulder and cheered herself up again and again.

However, Feng Xiu didn't take Feng Jing's words to heart at all, or rather, he didn't even listen carefully to what Feng Jing was saying.

"Mom had an accident, my eldest sister must be very sad too."

"Besides Mom, my eldest sister likes me the most. I need to go and comfort her."

"Dad, what's wrong with you?"

Feng Jing noticed that when he mentioned his sister Bai Yue, Feng Xiu, who was hugging him, stiffened for a moment.

"No, something must have happened to my sister too..."

Feng Jing spoke blankly, his eyes looking heartbreaking.

"It's alright, don't worry about it."

"Your sister is just not home. She ran away from home, just like you."

"But Dad will bring her back."
