Battlefield Priest's Diary
Chapter 13 The Priest Arrives
Chapter 13 The Priest Arrives
Bang bang bang bang! ! ! !
The continuous gunshots brought Qin Hao back to his senses, but the scene before his eyes was different from what he had seen before.
He didn't appear on the small hill, but instead leaned against the trench, clutching his Mosin-Nagant rifle.
The battlefield before them was still filled with the sounds of gunfire, and in the distance, several German soldiers were carrying a wounded officer off the battlefield.
This is…
Did you change your spawn point? Or is it a continuation of your save file?
Compared to his previous two entries into this world, this time he was five minutes later. At this moment, he remembered the so-called "reward" in his diary—[Taking a small step at the starting line].
Well, at least he doesn't have to race against a Maxim machine gun again, which is a good thing. In contrast, Qin Hao knows he has more important things to confirm.
Reaching into his pocket, Qin Hao held his breath and then successfully touched the forged document, while the letter of introduction lay quietly inside the document's pages.
Great, our previous prediction was correct, so the next step should be...
The familiar sound of footsteps echoed in my ears once again.
The time for the performance has arrived.

Pavka is a veteran, but he doesn't actually look that old; he's only 34 years old this year.
Born in a rural village in Minsk, he joined the army more than a decade ago for a meal. In recent years, he has traveled to many places with the Russian army and fought against many people.
From the Far East to the Middle East and now to this godforsaken place.
The opponents started as the Japanese, then became the Afghans, Persians, Austrians, and now it's the Germans' turn.
The enemies came and went in waves, and so did the companions who had been stirring up trouble with him. Some ran away, some were crippled, and many more died for some inexplicable reason in some inexplicable place.
He was very lucky; apart from losing a toe due to frostbite from spending too much time in the snow, he never suffered any serious injuries during his more than ten years in the army.
Having been a serf for generations, he had no interest in serving the emperor. To him, the army was just a place to fill his stomach, and he never thought of actually risking his life. On the battlefield, he had his own secret weapon for survival, and he always managed to survive unscathed.
But this time, meeting the Germans was a little different.
He had never seen such dense machine gun and artillery fire before; the Maxim guns were reaping lives at a speed comparable to a sickle harvesting wheat in autumn.
The officers beside him, shouting "For the Emperor!" drove the soldiers onto the battlefield like livestock, and soon after the sound of heavy machine guns subsided, it was the next batch's turn.
As the number of people around him dwindled, Pavka began to panic.
If you don't want to charge into battle yourself, you have to figure out how to deal with the commander and the supervisory team.
Based on experience, he needs a scapegoat, a rookie, the kind of idiot who's just entered the battlefield and whose mind is full of making a name for himself. The second best option is someone who can be manipulated at will once he's caught red-handed.
As long as such a person is around, they have a hundred ways to push the other person out to shield them from danger, ensuring their own safety.
He quickly identified his target.
An Asian man leaned against the side of the trench, holding a small notebook and looking dazed. He seemed very easy to fool.
But as soon as he slowed down and walked up, the other person turned around. The man had a pair of black pupils that seemed to be able to see right through him.
He spoke as if they had known each other for a long time, saying, "Hey, Pavlik, you've come."
? ? ? ?
What's going on? Pavka was completely confused. He hesitated and leaned closer. "You know me?"
“Of course, Pavlik from Solinoa village, we’re old friends.” The young man’s face wore a distinctive smile, sunny and confident, as if he were talking to an old friend. ?! The veteran looked like he’d seen a ghost. He’d been in the army for so long and didn’t have many friends; not many people knew he was from Minsk, let alone his small birth village.
The person on the other end even used the term "Pavlik," which is only used by acquaintances.
He rubbed his eyes again with his sleeve, confirming that he had never seen the Asian in front of him before.
“Excuse me, I…I’ve seen you before…uh, have I seen you before?” Pavka, unsure of the situation, subconsciously switched to a more respectful form of address.
"You haven't seen me, but I've seen you." The other person said with a smile that was cryptic and mysterious.
"Have you seen me before? Where?"
In my dreams
"In a dream?" Pavka looked at the other person's mysterious smile and almost thought the person in front of him was a madman.
“When I was a child, I had many dreams. There was a kingdom of heaven, a God, everyone, and of course, you and my friends…” Qin Hao said in a unique tone that sounded like it came from a church, while lowering his voice and trying hard to control the corners of his mouth that kept trying to turn up.
"I am a priest. Guided by the Lord, I came to Moscow from the far East, and now I am here," Qin Hao said, handing over his identification documents.
“Father?! Father?!!” Pavka almost jumped up. Although he was illiterate, he knew the cross symbol on the document very well. To him, this was an extremely important person.
Let alone the priests you see on the battlefield, even the priests in the dilapidated churches of that small rural town were respectfully addressed as "Father, Master" by the village chief.
“Hello, Father. Oh, no, Father, I was so rude just now… I, I mean I’m very happy…” Pavka suddenly became incoherent, unsure whether he should stand at attention or bow. He reached out to remove a hat that wasn’t actually on his head, but only scratched his half-bald head.
"Pavlik, could you please go and call the Commander? I have something I'd like to discuss with him." Qin Hao timely ended the veteran's awkwardness.
Just then, a triumphant shout rang out from afar: "Three in a group! Hurry! Gather together! Follow the ones with guns and prepare to fight back!"
Lieutenant Colonel Kazman arrived with several soldiers armed with weapons, and could faintly hear shouts of "Why did the gunfire stop?!"
"Which unit are you from?! Why didn't you salute your superior?!" The lieutenant colonel frowned as he looked at the Asian man in front of him.
"Lieutenant Colonel Kazman, right? I know you." The unfamiliar face addressed the other person by name immediately, with an expression that was neither humble nor arrogant.
"Who are you?!" Hearing the other person address him like that, the officer's brows furrowed even deeper, and his hand slowly reached for the pistol at his waist.
A document with a cross printed on it was handed to him.
"Please take a look, it's written very clearly on it." The unfamiliar man changed his amiable attitude towards the soldiers. Facing the highest commander here, he didn't even bother to explain directly, subtly revealing the aura of a superior.
The officer paused for a moment after seeing the cross on the witness document, then looked thoughtful.
When he opened the document and looked at the photo on it, he scrutinized Qin Hao's face twice.
Seeing the other person's hand resting on the holster, Qin Hao clenched his fist when no one was looking.
The next second, the officer lowered his hand, stood at attention respectfully, and saluted him with a stern face.
"Excuse me, Father Pugin!"
