Chapter 335 The Skrulls' Ambition

Luca did not lie to Natasha and the others.

He discovered the existence of the Skrulls because he had become suspicious of Nick Fury's identity and actions. He secretly scanned the Skrulls with his [Transformation Watch] and verified that he had been replaced by exploiting a bug.

However, in Luca's memory, the Skrulls and Nick Fury had always seemed to have a pretty good relationship.

Nearly twenty years have passed, and Nick Fury has not only failed to find new homes for these Skrulls as promised, but Skrulls are also frequently injured or killed because of Nick Fury's missions. The entire Skrull community has even been living under Nick Fury's surveillance.

This has led to resentment among many Skrulls.

Of course, if that were all, these Skrulls might not necessarily do anything. One reason is that their resentment hadn't accumulated enough, and another is that the Skrulls' strength ultimately didn't give them the upper hand.

However, the turning point for all of this occurred with the fall of Washington, D.C., caused by the Hydra attack.

The significant loss of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s strength was only one reason. The ensuing chaos and unrest across the United States, with several states declaring independence, forced Nick Fury to send some Skrulls to replace some of the deceased officials in order to maintain stability. This also gave some of the more radical Skrulls an opportunity.

More importantly, the fact that the Skrull chieftain, a former moderate who had initially agreed to cooperate with Nick Fury, also died in the nuclear explosion in Washington was the final straw that broke the camel's back.

Gaya, the daughter of Talos, the former leader of the Skrulls, has secretly become the new queen of the Skrulls while outwardly continuing to cooperate with Nick Fury.

Already at odds with her father, she began actively contacting other Skrulls scattered across the globe after taking over the Skrull race.

They are always ready to take advantage of the chaos in America and the fact that the whole world is busy dealing with an alien invasion to seize power in America, instigate internal wars among mankind, and ultimately enslave all mankind, turning Earth into a new home exclusively for the Skrulls.

One of the reasons they dare to be so 'radical' is because...
